Chicago Sky History
The Chicago Sky are an American professional basketball team in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). The team played their first season in 2006, then qualified for their first postseason in 2013 before advancing to the Finals for the first time in 2014. Initially led by Sylvia Fowles, who won WNBA Defensive Player of the Year twice as a member of Chicago, the Sky experienced more success with 2015 MVP Elena Delle Donne and seven-time league assist leader Courtney Vandersloot. In 2021, the Chicago Sky won their first WNBA Championship with a squad featuring Vandersloot, Finals MVP Kahleah Copper and seven-time All-Star Candace Parker. After the Sky drafted Angel Reese in 2024, the rookie center set the WNBA record for highest single-season rebound average and later earned the league’s Peak Performer honor for rebounds.

The 10,387-seat facility opened in 2017, though the Sky played their first full season at their new home court in 2018. The relocation marked a major change for the Chicago Sky, who previously played outside of their home city at Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois. I have really enjoy myself being at the Chicago Sky Game
The game itself was great. WNBA and the Sky have some great talent and it is fun to watch. However, overall Wintrust was a bad move for the Sky. Parking is more of a hassle. If you want a beverage or food during the game, plan on missing a large portion of the game waiting in line. I never got a chance to eat before or during the game because I was not willing to miss any game action. The gentleman sitting in front of me missed the entire 3rd quarter waiting in line for food. If you want Sky swag, go on-line. Wintrust has one little booth for Sky gear. And again, plan on waiting in line and missing game action. I have been to a couple of Sky games since the move from All-State. Same experience each time. I didn't have any of these issues at All-State. Just because someplace is shiny and new, doesn't mean it's better. Bad move Sky.
We had never been to a WNBA game and weren't really sure what to expect. They did a great job with fan involvement/engagement, and the environment was so fun. We would definitely go again!
It was a very exciting time I enjoyed myself the seats was awesome where I said very great price love to go again the Chicago Sky did their thing WNBA root for them all the time. And yes they are going to win the championship this year let's go sky let's go sky yay!!!!!!!!
Although the Sky were unsuccessful, it was great to be back in the arena cheering them on
I took my daughter to a game it was her first professional basketball game. We had a good time the atmosphere was great. The big pretzel was so good! Prices were crazy but I expected it.. $19 for two bottles of pop and one pretzel. The team played great. Will definitely be back.
What a great series! Seeing Candace Parker hit that game tying three pointer was worth the money alone.
WNBA Finals 2021 Game 4 will go down as the greatest sports event that I have ever witnessed. Chicago Sky come back to win thrilling game and Championship Crown. I can say that I was there.
While cities/teams can have multiple championships, being able to attend the first WNBA TITLE in Chicago Sky history is unique. Eventually there will be a second but there are not many that can say they have experienced a 1 of 1 championship like this one. Wintrust Arena was amazing and being at the VIP LOUNGE was another element added to the experience. Thank you for keeping us safe.
We had seats in Section 214, but every 12,000 in Wintrust is a great seat for a basketball game. The concession and bathroom lines were short. It was a magical experience. Thank you
We traveled 9.5 hours in the hopes of my daughter watching her favorite WNBA team win the championship. The game itself was phenomenal, but the venue and staff were also impressive. Everyone was very nice and helpful. My only recommendation would be that they add a team store.
Easy to enter the game, thanks to plenty of great pre-game emails with vital info to make entering the game quick. Able to score pizza and chicken finger on main concourse before making it up to our seats. Once there, I didn't leave. Mostly thanks to a riveting game 4! Shouts to the team, coach Wade, the coaches, Ann Crosby and specifically MC Redwell for keeping us properly hyped. Can't wait for my next game!
My row of fans constantly had to check our phones for the score as there wasn’t a visible score board where we were sitting! If your phone took a while to update you had the wrong score. We were also freezing and the concession stand was out of several flavors of soda BEFORE the game even started.
Loved the atmosphere will definitely be attending more games next season
Had the best time at the game, except no one around us could see the score! The score was only shown on ribbons on the baseline that only the 100 levels could view. Everyone in our section had to check our phones to know what to score was, which is outrageous! Put the score on the jumbotron!
It was an awesome experience. Everyone should make an attempt to attend a game in the future! Awesome family experience
Great game from the sky unbelievable atmosphere. I loved it SkyTown stand up!
I had an amazing time watching the Chicago Sky when the championship, however I wish the venue had more food and gear options!
THEY WON THE CHAMPIONSHIP!! Would not mind the event for the WORLD!! So exciting!!!
