Chicago Sky History
The Chicago Sky are an American professional basketball team in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). The team played their first season in 2006, then qualified for their first postseason in 2013 before advancing to the Finals for the first time in 2014. Initially led by Sylvia Fowles, who won WNBA Defensive Player of the Year twice as a member of Chicago, the Sky experienced more success with 2015 MVP Elena Delle Donne and seven-time league assist leader Courtney Vandersloot. In 2021, the Chicago Sky won their first WNBA Championship with a squad featuring Vandersloot, Finals MVP Kahleah Copper and seven-time All-Star Candace Parker. After the Sky drafted Angel Reese in 2024, the rookie center set the WNBA record for highest single-season rebound average and later earned the league’s Peak Performer honor for rebounds.

The Wintrust Arena at McCormick Square, home of the Chicago Sky, is located in the Near South Side community in Chicago, Illinois. The 10,387-seat facility opened in 2017, though the Sky played their first full season at their new home court in 2018. The relocation marked a major change for the Chicago Sky, who previously played outside of their home city at Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois. The Sky share Wintrust Arena with the DePaul University Blue Demons men’s and women’s basketball teams.

I'm a Sky fan but I pick my games based on the themes and events. It was supposed to be a Juneteenth Celebration and it wasn't, on top of that the Sky played well in the first half only to lose horribly so I was a bit disappointed.
An overall nice experience that keeps me coming back. While I would like this team to have the resources similar to those of the Fever, Aces, or Liberty, there's a college-like quality that keeps things positive.
Had a wonderful time enjoyed the atmosphere seats were good and fans were nice. You could bring family and enjoy. Safe area to park and parking attendant to direct traffic.
The Game was really good, the Venue it was held in was nice and in a good location.

I've been to many NBA games but this game was the most fun I've ever had a basketball game. The crowd was awesome, the entertainment at half time was so much fun. However the best part of it all were the women on the court. Great win by the Sky and some awesome hooping from both sides. I will be back.
Had so much fun! It was my first Chicago Sky game and it was such a great experience.
I didn't realize it when I bought the tickets that they were in a VIP section, which comes with free food and beverages (excluding alcohol) from a separate area near the section. The food was good and the game was great. We had a wonderful experience!
The energy in the building was "everything"! Seeing Chicago Sky stars Reese, Carter, Allen, and Cordosa play in person was so cool. It was also a treat to see Aja Wilson with the Las Vegas Aces. Great time, great seats, fun day. I want to go again!
No food. Ran out before 1/2 time starved at event. Terrible experience slow lines was expected but vendor ran out room popcorn and churros
The tickets were overpriced considering the view was obstructed and there was no mention of that when buying the tickets.
The loud music that constantly played in Wintrust Arena while play was in action was very annoying and unpleasant. We came to a basketball game, not a music concert. I can appreciate such music occasionally to liven the event, but this was incessant. I was so thankful for free throws when the music stopped. This will be a strong factor we consider when we consider returning for another Sky game. Not good. It's too bad because otherwise the game was fun to watch.
Great vibe. Great seats. So fun watching women’s hoops at a wonderful arena. Can’t wait to do it again. Go Sky. Yay Chicago.
Watching the Chicago Sky play at Wintrust Arena for my first WNBA game was spectacular! The Sky & the NY Liberty competed as hard as ever. The crowd was enthusiastic, and everyone seemed so happy to be there. I loved the feeling of unity and empowerment for girls & women especially. I brought my 10 year old niece and she loved being there. Thank you Chicago Sky!
My guests and I had a most wonderful time at the game. We were in a suite, and it was "Heavenly " to be in the sky with our "Chicago Sky". The action among the players, cheers from the crowd, the delicious refreshments and quality service all made for a memorable experience!!!
Game was great but we lost. Entertainment was good. Food not that good.
The arena was very nice. The staff was very pleasant. The ony drawback was the placement of the souvenir stand.
While the basketball was awesome the whole experience was not. The line for con sessions was extremely long. It would have been about 15 min just to get popcorn and not at halftime. The half time show was great. But for the entire game there was never a break from the loud auditory stimuli. It would have been nice to have a break from some of the noise while the basketball was being played.
Love watching these women play. I grew up watching T-Spoon and my daughter loves Angel so this was a great experience and we will be back to support.
Great game, fun giveaways, and awesome music. I am excited to go again in the near future.
