About

Chelsea Wolfe's latest album, She Reaches Out To She Reaches Out To She, is a rebirth in process. It's about how such a moment connects to our past, our present, and our future. It's a powerfully cathartic statement about cutting ties, as well as an important reminder that healing is cyclical and circular, and not a simple linear process. As Wolfe explains, 'It's a record about the past self reaching out to the present self reaching out to the future self to summon change, growth, and guidance. It's a story of setting yourself free from situations and patterns that are holding you back, in order to become self-empowered. It's an invitation to step into your authenticity."

by nurd on 3/12/24The Masquerade - Heaven - Atlanta

The Masquerade has done it again! love this place. sound is good. lights are good. I wear ear plugs so i can actually hear her singing and each instrument play...all of which was just lovely! get in early so you can find a spot to prop yourself up for the night.....it's general admission. Great venue. Been to Hell for YOB a couple years ago; yet another GREAT show.... will keep coming back, for sure!

Exceptional performance and a truly fitting and unique venue

by jw on 3/11/24The Masquerade - Heaven - Atlanta

Everything about this show was off the charts. Chelsea Wolfe's first US tour in years delivered seamlessly on her full range of styles including the newest album's more electronic/industrial feel. The entire band's performance was flawless and the lighting designer may as well be an additional full fledged band member given how much it contributed to the overall experience. Also worth nothing is how great a venue Masquerade was for this show. The venue is and of itself an entirely unique space given its utilization of the old Underground Atlanta mall, but the interior buildout of the new Masquerade is awesome - sound is surprisingly crisp for this type of building, traffic flow is fluid and the arrangement of floorspace provides for an abundance of optimal viewing locations. As an encore, Chelsea Wolfe ended the show with a heart-stopping, stripped-down acoustic rendition of Liminal from the new album. As notable as this performance of the song was the stage design consisting of nothing but Chelsea standing in what looked like an otherworldly red cone of spiraling smoke. It sounds simple but it has to be seen to be believed - tremendously effective in context and an effect I've never seen executed. I hope someone posts a good video from the balcony vantage point that truly captures how stunning this lighting effect was when coupled with her closing song.

    Amazing experience

by Joe C! on 3/7/24Scoot Inn - Austin

This show was one of the best I've ever seen! The venue was awesome, being outdoors brought a certain feel to it. Chelsea's vocals were magical and, dare I say, sounded better live than some of the recordings I've listened to. Her voice is always great, mind you, but it seemed to resonate with me more being in that proximity to it. Even the merch was on point: I couldn't decide which shirt I wanted to get so I bought both that I had my eye on! Truly an enchanting evening, one that will be hard to match and would jump at the chance to experience it again.

    Not too bad

by Baron on 3/4/24Scoot Inn - Austin

Chelsea Wolfe did not disappoint, however her opener isn't ready for a stage like that. Giggling, long rants just as long as her songs. Poor decision on a opener.

by Spanishchurches on 3/1/24The Observatory North Park - San Diego

Drove 6 hours from Tucson for this show. Chelsea is one the few artists I'd do this for and she's so extraordinarily worth it! Beautiful performance.

    A Transcendent Experience

by crxpto on 6/11/16Teragram Ballroom - Los Angeles

Chelsea Wolfe is my favorite artist and this was my first time seeing her live. I was literally nervous for weeks beforehand. When the time finally came, it was sublime. The music has a different feel to it--on the record it gets you in your heart, in person it hits you in the gut. An incredible way to experience this gorgeous music. Hearing "Tracks (Tall Bodies)" while standing right in front of the woman herself was a religious experience. "Iron Moon" and "Movie Screen" were also incredibly moving. A Dead Forest Index were great openers. What a great surprise when Chelsea and her band joined ADFI on stage for the last song in their set. But, honestly, words couldn't do this justice. Suffice it to say I finally understand the shrieking girls at Backstreet Boys concerts. (Yes, I was born in the '90s.)

    See Chelsea Wolfe now.

by SuperSecretNickname on 6/10/16Teragram Ballroom - Los Angeles

The Chelsea Wolfe concert was one of our favorites that we've been to. Her vocals were spot on and the music was heavy. If you have the opportunity, she is a must-see artist.

    Chelsea's best set yet

by Aodhan on 5/13/16Royale Boston - Boston

If you know Chelsea's music, and especially if you've seen her live, than I needn't say anything. If you haven't seen her live, I will just say that if there are any musicians and/or singers who can *nail it* and exceed every single time around today, then I can't think of their names. Further, A Dead Forest Index was by far the best opener she's had that I have seen.

    Best show I've ever seen.

by Mattb22689 on 5/9/16The Stone Pony - Asbury Park

I've seen many shows, this was undeniably the best. Amazingly tight performance and the power of the show was just magical. The full intensity of the music doesn't come out on the records you have to see her live to experience it.

Just go. Ever see someone who performs live better than their albums? That's Chelsea Wolfe. Take it from a jaded concert goer who has seen hundreds and hundreds of shows She's the real deal.

Nothing could have prepared me for Anna Calvi.

by 80miledrive on 12/5/13Royce Hall - UCLA - Los Angeles

I chose this particulart show for the opportunity to see Chelsea Wolfe perform in a theater setting as opposed to a club. Someplace where she could merge the traditional 4-piece electric lineup with the strings from the 3-piece acoustic lineup. That is what sold me the ticket and convinced me to make the 8 hour drive down to Westwood. I knew nothing about the opener, Anna Calvi, but lucky for me, Anna was simply astounding. The set she delivered made me an instant fan, and I look forward to catching her the next time she returns to the states. I could not have asked for a better evening. It was a comfortable room with a respectful audience, and neither performer held anything back.
