About

Chelsea Wolfe's latest album, She Reaches Out To She Reaches Out To She, is a rebirth in process. It's about how such a moment connects to our past, our present, and our future. It's a powerfully cathartic statement about cutting ties, as well as an important reminder that healing is cyclical and circular, and not a simple linear process. As Wolfe explains, 'It's a record about the past self reaching out to the present self reaching out to the future self to summon change, growth, and guidance. It's a story of setting yourself free from situations and patterns that are holding you back, in order to become self-empowered. It's an invitation to step into your authenticity."

Excellent concert, Chelsea Wolfe is a powerful artist that should be known by more people, Great voice and presence, made me wish the concert was longer. A Transcendent Experience

by crxpto on 6/11/16Teragram Ballroom - Los Angeles

Chelsea Wolfe is my favorite artist and this was my first time seeing her live. I was literally nervous for weeks beforehand. When the time finally came, it was sublime. The music has a different feel to it--on the record it gets you in your heart, in person it hits you in the gut. An incredible way to experience this gorgeous music. Hearing "Tracks (Tall Bodies)" while standing right in front of the woman herself was a religious experience. "Iron Moon" and "Movie Screen" were also incredibly moving. A Dead Forest Index were great openers. What a great surprise when Chelsea and her band joined ADFI on stage for the last song in their set. But, honestly, words couldn't do this justice. Suffice it to say I finally understand the shrieking girls at Backstreet Boys concerts. (Yes, I was born in the '90s.)

    See Chelsea Wolfe now.

by SuperSecretNickname on 6/10/16Teragram Ballroom - Los Angeles

The Chelsea Wolfe concert was one of our favorites that we've been to. Her vocals were spot on and the music was heavy. If you have the opportunity, she is a must-see artist.

    Chelsea's best set yet

by Aodhan on 5/13/16Royale Boston - Boston

If you know Chelsea's music, and especially if you've seen her live, than I needn't say anything. If you haven't seen her live, I will just say that if there are any musicians and/or singers who can *nail it* and exceed every single time around today, then I can't think of their names. Further, A Dead Forest Index was by far the best opener she's had that I have seen.

    Best show I've ever seen.

by Mattb22689 on 5/9/16The Stone Pony - Asbury Park

I've seen many shows, this was undeniably the best. Amazingly tight performance and the power of the show was just magical. The full intensity of the music doesn't come out on the records you have to see her live to experience it.

Just go. Ever see someone who performs live better than their albums? That's Chelsea Wolfe. Take it from a jaded concert goer who has seen hundreds and hundreds of shows She's the real deal.

Amazing concert. One of the best club shows I've ever attended, and I've been to literally hundreds through the years.

Nothing could have prepared me for Anna Calvi.

by 80miledrive on 12/5/13Royce Hall - UCLA - Los Angeles

I chose this particulart show for the opportunity to see Chelsea Wolfe perform in a theater setting as opposed to a club. Someplace where she could merge the traditional 4-piece electric lineup with the strings from the 3-piece acoustic lineup. That is what sold me the ticket and convinced me to make the 8 hour drive down to Westwood. I knew nothing about the opener, Anna Calvi, but lucky for me, Anna was simply astounding. The set she delivered made me an instant fan, and I look forward to catching her the next time she returns to the states. I could not have asked for a better evening. It was a comfortable room with a respectful audience, and neither performer held anything back.

    Chelsea wolfe not done justice

by Sadiemarieborges on 11/19/13Royce Hall - UCLA - Los Angeles

Chelsea Wolfe and Anna Calvi are my two of my favorite musicians. I was beyond ecstatic to see this show and had high expectations having browsed endless live footage from both of these very talented women. Anna Calvi's set was lovely, but it was difficult to hear her vocals. The sound overall could have been better for her. By the time Chelsea was mid-set, the drums were completely drowning out her vocals and guitar playing, and the bass was deafening. The viola/violin could not be heard. A lot of details were lost. I can only think to blame the sound guy, who must have fallen asleep, because this is not how they are supposed to sound live and it was heartbreaking as an enthused listener and fan not to get to hear these songs as they are intended to be experienced. I hope if there is a next time that the instruments/vocals are evened out better. I don't know how these things went overlooked. Much love for the performers.
