CHEAP TRICK IN CONCERT:
More than four decades after their debut, hard rock titans Cheap Trick continue to possess the same energy and flair that made them an arena rock staple in the '70s. The band has enjoyed an unbroken run ever since their formation in 1973, and it's easy to see why — their chemistry on stage is undeniable, and they clearly have a blast as they treat fans to nostalgic performances of classics like "Surrender" and "The Flame." Back on the road in 2014 with fellow hard rockers Boston, Cheap Trick will bring their signature high-energy show to fans around the country on a string of highly anticipated dates.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Formed in Illinois in 1973, Cheap Trick recorded demos and toured throughout the Midwest before releasing their self-titled 1977 debut. The album failed to find an audience in the US, but it earned them a fan base in Europe and Japan, setting the stage for their future popularity stateside. While sophomore album In Color contained their highly regarded single "I Want You To Want Me," the band didn't make it onto the US charts until "Surrender" was released as the lead single of 1978's Heaven Tonight. By the early '80s the band was selling out arenas around the globe, achieving their most significant popularity in Japan, where enthusiasm over their tours reached Beatlemania-esque proportions. With more than four decades of hard-rocking live shows under their belts, Cheap Trick will bring plenty of veteran know-how with them on their upcoming tour.
FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"As always, Cheap Trick put on an awesome show. Robin Zander is the best lead singer on the planet & the playlist was great."

Saw Cheap Trick they put on an excellent concert. It was a smaller venue had excellent seats. Really enjoyed the show.
See them tons of times and everytime is like the first. Their show is entertaining and they change their dead cuts often. Love these guys.
From the opening number till the encore CHEAP TRICK delivered the rock and roll they are famous for. The sound and lighting was perfect and Robin Zander’s voice is AMAZING. Rick, Tom, and Daxx are simply AWESOME. These 4 master musicians really show why they are the best at what they do. I’ve seen them many times and this was the best show ever. If they come to your town you don’t want to miss seeing the Best Rockand Roll Band in the Land.
It was great to see them and hear some great classics. I Want You, Surrender etc. This performance was lackluster, the instruments were all over the place and out of time. Vocals were so so, but I've heard better in my karaoke group.
Acoustics so poor. Uncomfortable seating area. People seated next to us talked through the entire short performance. Never again! Long time Cheap Trick fan but rethinking of going to shows in the future.
As usual Cheap Trick were on top of their game. It was another amazing show. Frankly, their always great.
Great concert. Venue was clean, seats provided great views from all angles. Excellent value. CHEAP TRICK ROCKED!!!!!!
Even though they are old ,they still perform at their best ,show was wonderful,no regrets and a lot of enjoyment.
Great concert watching these guys all in their 70's still rocking out for the whole 2 1/2 hours was the most impressive. I have been listening to them since they started in 1973.
I used to see Cheap Trick in small local bars in north Chicago years ago--so I was pumped to go see them locally. I knew the concert to be on the loud side--but I expected that the live sound crew would have a handle on the sound board and present the music with clarity. The mix was a mess with no separation--having the frequencies of all instruments right on top of each other. Unclear vocals and instrumentation. I gave it a half hour and got the hell out of there. Really difficult to continue to sit through all of that noise. Terrible disappointment.
A good show, despite the error at the start of I want you to want me. Dream police was a little shaky also, but overall a good show!
Cheap Trick was great. They played a long time and it was worth the money. There was one over served concert goer was acting up but security took care of that immediately. Bar tenders and concession staff were courteous and friendly. Great experience.
Great exit traffic leaving this venue. Band was great. Great list of songs. She’s tight was on it! Living legends still at it!
The Cheap Trick concert was great!! We last saw them about 2 years ago, and this concert was so much better. They definitely sounded better this time. We've actually seen them about 3 or 4 times, and they have never played our favorite song, which is why I gave it 4 stars. Not sure why they don't play what I consider to be their best song at their concerts. The song? Gonna Raise Hell!!
Excellent musicians still have it!They still put on a great show with great sound.Very talented group with great classics!Robin Zander hasn’t lost anything in his vocals and Rick Nielsen plays a mean guitar.Definitely will see them again! Even my 23 year old son enjoyed it as much as I did!
Cheap Trick never fails to rock the house down! Great show!
Ten years ago Cheap Trick were playing tight, sounding like the 70's band in their prime. Unfortunately, this tour (no Bun E.) they were lackluster on stage, muffled sound and Zander's voice left a lot to be desired. Also, how can you NOT play Gonna Raise Hell? Won't pay to see them again but still like their songs.
We had a great time! Cheap Trick still delivers. Unlike many of his contemporaries, Robin Zander still has a powerfully good voice. Cheap Trick took everyone on a fun and satisfying trip down memory lane!
Everyone knows Cheap Trick! Their songs are full of sing a longs. Their energy is infectious. On a Friday night, even the old people, like me, were ready to party Cheap Trick style. This band has been around forever, and, the drummer, Daxx Nielsen, brings the thunder just like Bun E. Carlos did back in the day. From the opening note to the last bar of Surrender Cheap Trick did what they always do, deliver rock and roll, and a bunch of guitar picks to the adoring crowd. Cheap? Only the tickets!
Vocals were distorted, need to focus on hits not deep cuts.
