Awesome show. Charlie Sheen's the man. I was shocked to see the audience full. I recommend the Palace Theatre.
This was a horrible event. I didn't need to pay someone to stand up there and talk about their crack rock smoking episodes. I could've watched a Chris Rock video. It would've been cheaper.
That show was lumberstar good. Crowd wouldn't shut up and let him talk was my only gripe.
I thought Charlie was great! He was Charlie Sheen just being Charlie Sheen, and my companion and I loved it! I really didn't like the venue, though. The Ohio Theater has more spacious seating arrangements. Otherwise, I'd give him five (5) stars!
Charlie Sheen is accidentally hilarious when he is just being himself. However, when he is actually trying to be funny he is terrible. In this case, he is trying really hard to be funny and seriously failing. He must have gone on some antipsychotic medicines because he lacked the rapid speech and inability to focus that was so amusing in his tv interviews. I'm sure it was probably necessary for him to take them in order to finish the tour. The show consists of Charlie being interviewed by a friend who gives him subjects to discuss and keeps him on topic. Many of the topics have great potential - Charlie has seen some crazy things and surely has some wild tales to tell. But he doesn't. In the end much of what he told us wasn't particularly interesting or funny and it got interrupted a lot by the activity in the audience.
He didn't seem to even put any effort into trying to make it funny. The crowd was the most entertaining part of the show.
No better than the YouTube videos. Definitely not worth the monty paid for the ticket.
To start with we weren't expecting much, but hey! who gets to see a live trainwreck? Anyway, Charlie Sheen himself was okay, but the crowd was terrible as was the guy up on stage who was co hosting the show (J Scoleri or something). Anyway, the crowd kept screaming and yelling which interrupted Charlie every time he went to speak then the co host was asking questions in such a corny way the show turned out to be stupid and boring. Then there was the woman who tried to punch security and got thrown out. Not to mention all the trashy girls showing their breasts and touching all over themselves. We just weren't feeling it and left early. What a waste of $200.
The show was disorganized and seemed cluttered. The lack of direction hurt the shows overall feeling. But at the same time there were some funny stories and events. I would reccomend cheap seats its nothing you need to be up fron for. Over all I enjoyed it. Charlie was funny but it seemed almost forced at times.
You just can't miss this amazing show!! A must see!
way too rambling - not sense of organization. It was not funny
Show was as expected. Crowd Sucked. Charlie Sheen did what I expected. The Pallace Theatre was great.
Very funny show from a very great actor and intelligent human being.
The show was terribly planned and had no flow. It was not ready for a paying audience. I am glad he is doing better at his other shows. It was hard to watch Charlie look so helpless and frustrated that none of his bits were working. I knew when buying the tickets that it was either going to be awesome or a trainwreck and either way i would remember it for the rest of my life. I definately will remember it. Detroit definately gave Charlie a "Torpedo of Truth" and I think it was necessary for him to grow as a Live entertainer.
Little preparation. Uses an interviewer to ask the same questions he has gotten in TV interviews (only this time with curse words). Uses the interviewer as mediator to the audience instead of fielding questions himself (but while sitting right next to the interviewer). Apparently he has told the interviewer what questions not to ask him, so that he doesn't have to look like the bad guy by refusing the audience members directly.
I enjoyed the show I was however embarrassed of the way the crowd behaved!! There was a surprisingly young crowd there. From beginning to end they were loud, rude and swearing words even Charlie Sheen hasn't heard. He never stood a chance he asked the audience to be quiet so he could read some things to us and that just didn't happen! I have to be fair and honest. That's why he left the stage and not return no one was listening to him anyway. I felted bad for him and the way we treated him, glad to hear the other Cities showed him a little respect!! And that so called crack comment: what no one has even bothered to mention is that he also made a joke about Malibu and crack but no one's mentioning that!!
Charlie Sheen was amazing! You just have to see this show and watch a madman - he's so good even his brother would laugh. Charlie Sheen gave the performance of his life, no doubt the movie agents will be phoning him left right and centre to star in the next blockbluster! #winning! This guy deserves an oscar for this - don't miss the show, it will make you a different person!
I enjoyed seeing Charlie Sheen in person. Would of enjoyed the show more without certain audience members heckeling him so we could hear what all he was saying and would have liked for him to have finished the show and not walked off stage. Would like to see him again under different circumstances. The crowd was out of control smoking pot, cigarettes using strong profanity and physical confrontations by audience members to the staff/ushers. That made me very disappointed. Feel I was jipped out of my money for those reasons(the audience). Very unfortunate because he is my favorite actor.
This was an absolutely horrible event. My expectations were definitely a lot greater and we received poorer than poor performance. Nothing flowed together. Nothing made sense. His show had no rhyme or reason. It was just awful and he didn't even finish the show! It was my husband's birthday to top that off and we didn't enjoy it by any means! I want my money back!! I truly believe this was a scam and Charlie Sheen stole our money! This is outrageous! Never in my life have I ever been to a performance that was even nearly as horrible as this one! The comments he made about Detroit being crack heads and especially the one he made about him having our money once people booed him off stage makes me think he didn't care the slightest bit, and that he scammed all 5000+ people there! He was very disrespectful to Detroit. Absolutely unacceptable!!
Everybody has heard how bad this show in Detroit went. All things considered it would have been much better, if not great if just a few things were different. The "comedian" that opened for Charlie Sheen was terrible, when he finally gave up the audience was left sitting for another 30-40 minutes not know what was going on. The pace for the night had already been set. Charlie Sheen never had a chance. If the actual show had started on time it would have went much better. He is a actually a funny guy, who has the personality to entertain a crowd (assuming there not already pissed off). I am glad that the show has improved, I hope to see the rest of his tour go as good as the last couple shows. If given the chance I would go see him again.
