Carolina Panthers Team History
The Carolina Panthers became the 29th National Football League franchise on October 26, 1993. They played their inaugural season in 1995, finishing 7-9 and setting an all-time best opening season record for an NFL expansion team. They also beat the San Francisco 49ers in their inaugural season, becoming the first expansion team to defeat a reigning Super Bowl champion in their first year of play.
Since their start, the Panthers have won six division titles, including three consecutive NFC South division titles from 2013-15 under coach Ron Rivera. The Panthers have made it to the playoffs eight times, winning two NFC Championships and appearing in the Super Bowl twice. Under coach Rivera, they made four playoff appearances in a five-year span from 2013–2017, tying Green Bay and Seattle for the most NFC playoff appearances during that time. In that five-year span, the Panthers recorded 51 wins, the most in any five-year period in franchise history, and tied for fifth-most in the NFL.
Their first Super Bowl appearance was in 2004 for Super Bowl XXXVIII, then Super Bowl 50 in 2016, following what was the Panthers’ most dominant season to date, going 15-1 with quarterback and MVP Cam Newton.

Great atmosphere and weather for some Sunday football. It was a great game and even better my team won the game GO STEELERS
I love the people and they are very friendly people and I’m glad we won this game!
My mom has a bad hip but she wasn't complaining. We planned to take the elevator to the 500 level. One of your customer service personnel approached us and not only provided a wheel chair but had our seats upgraded so my mom didn't have to walk up flights of stairs Thank you for caring about your customers❤️
My seats were located near the field goal, which gave me the opportunity to have a great view. The crowd was excited and chanting for the Panthers. The best part was that they won!! I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. #Panthernation
Had so much fun well do it again the view was good sound was great
Our family 's first NFL game (in a hurricane nonetheless) and it was AMAZING!! We were up at the top, but felt like we were right down there in the action! Made memories to last a lifetime!
The game was amazing. Nice to see my Panthers back in action. They controlled the field against the Dirty Birds. Despite the rain, I had a great time. Thank you to the staff also for honoring the military veterans. As a service member that has served for 6 years, it’s been an honor to serve. Great Job Coach Wilks!!! Keep Pounding 💙🖤💙🖤
The Bank of America stadium, home to the Panthers, is so accessible and easy to maneuver. Staff were helpful and polite. Vendors were plentiful and lines moved quickly. Located in the downtown of Charlotte where restaurants, entertainment and hotels were in a very short walking distance. It’s just too bad that Tampa Bay didn’t show up for the game🫣🫣🫣‼️
Everything was easy when it came to checking in at the game.
Overall, BoA stadium is a nice facility! It’s not the biggest or the most flashy, but it’s nicer than I expected considering it’s age. I have more positive things to say about it than negative, but here’s the negatives: I had looked forward to being able to order my food on my phone and going to pick it up. But the Panthers app wouldn’t load anything throughout the entire game, so I couldn’t mobile order anything. I spent a significant amount of time waiting in line, especially at the soda fountain during halftime. The staff were not friendly overall, as there was one older lady who worked at the bar behind section 508 that rudely called people over to her register and never said a word when greeted or thanked. They could definitely use more escalators, as the trek up the ramp to the upper deck is quite a hike, and the line for the escalator is very long after the game. The beer man only came to our section once and I never saw him again, with such long lines and so many people it would have been nice to have seen him come around more than just once. I would have bought more beer, but chose not to fight the crowd to do it and lose time watching the game. Other than those things, the stadium was a good experience and we enjoyed our visit.
Enjoyed the game ,check In was quick no waiting just need to make sure I purchase seats in lower level 🙄 with aged comes equilibrium unbalancing 🫣
Great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
New plays!!! The offensive line is not making any open for McCaffrey to run. The front line need a better strategy. You got to mix it up, you got to confuse the defense of the opposing team. Psychic the opposing defense out.....
Everything was seamless. From ordering tickets to parking to getting into the stadium was seamless. One issue, BOA needs a couple of smoking areas. Had a blast, Panthers won, gotta love it! Coming back for sure.
No lines at all for concessions and very clean! Crazy line trying to leave that parking garage, however. Should have went to the bathroom before we left but there were lines there as well. Would go back! Fireworks were amazing!
We loved it! It was my in-laws first NFL game and they were very excited to cross this off their bucket list! Had very good seats at very good prices!
Finally , in my 21 years , I was able to get my butt to Charlotte for the panthers game ! The atmosphere was crazy ! We started off slow but then the fireworks came ! We came all the way back and won the game ! *Until Cleveland got bailed out by the referees and were able to kick the game winning kick ugh!
The seats were great and loved the place first time going and loved the game
I paid for two parking passes and then found that the parking lot (Blackmon Lot) didn't exist and/or it was non accessible.
To celebrate my Son’s 11th birthday, I purchased tickets for this preseason game as he loves the Panthers and aspires to be a player with the NFL one day! I wanted to give him a first hand experience to see the game live and we have a freaking blast! First of many games that we will attend!! So grateful!
