Pens blew Hurricanes out of their building
by AZPensFan on 7/15/09RBC Center - RaleighCanes fans have a great arena. There probably isn't a bad seat in the building, but section 103 Row B is definitely the place to be.

Carolina Hurricanes History
The Carolina Hurricanes were established in Raleigh in 1997 after relocating from Hartford, Connecticut, where the National Hockey League franchise was originally founded in 1979. Since their arrival in North Carolina, the Hurricanes have made the playoffs ten times, captured six division championships, two Eastern Conference titles and the 2006 Stanley Cup Championship.
The team also hosted the 2004 NHL Draft and the 2011 NHL All-Star Game at PNC Arena, where they play their home games. When the Hurricanes made the playoffs in 2001, against the defending Stanley Cup Champions New Jersey Devils, they lost the series but came back from a 3-0 deficit to force a sixth game — marking what many believed to be the start of real hockey in the Research Triangle.
The 2005-2006 season marked the best in the Hurricanes' history, as the team finished with 112 points, beating the previous franchise-best record of 94 points. They ended up beating the Edmonton Oilers in the Stanley Cup Final, marking the first time in NHL history that two former World Hockey Association teams faced off in the Final.

The arena has hosted several NHL Stanley Cup Playoff and Final games, including on June 19, 2006, when the Hurricanes had the home advantage and won the Stanley Cup Final in game seven, deviating the Edmonton Oilers 3-1, bringing the Hurricanes their first Stanley Cup and the first major professional sports championship for North Carolina.
In 2019, the arena hosted the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the first time in 10 years and set a single-game record with 19,495 fans in attendance. That record was further extended on May 14, 2022, when the Hurricanes defeated the Boston Bruins 3-2 before 19,513 fans. PNC Arena welcomes more than 1.5 million guests every year.

Canes fans have a great arena. There probably isn't a bad seat in the building, but section 103 Row B is definitely the place to be.
Great game. Loved it that Pittsburg won. Not enough souvenires available from NHL for Penguins fans.
The game and the atmosphere were great. The Hurricanes fans are the best in the league and this game proved why.
Loved being behind the bench! Tailgating beforehand was also fun. The RBC Center is very nice.
The Eastern Conference Game 4 was amazing! I am a fan of both teams and there was so much energy in the crowd. Although it was in Raleigh and the Pens won to take the Eastern Conference Title just about everyone stayed in the RBC Center to watch the presentation of the trophy! It was a great time and we plan on going to many more games next year. The RBC Center is an amazing location for a hockey game!
What an awesome game! The fans were great inside and outside of the RBC center. I will definitely return for another game. GO PENS!
Seeing a Hurricanes game in person is great and sitting down by the glass (2nd row) is unbelievable. The Canes couldn't stop Pittsburgh from advancing but the fans gave them the applause they deserved. Looking forward to next season.
To watch the Penguins take the Eastern Conference Championship on Carolina home ice was the next best thing to watching the game in Pittsburgh!!! There were soooo many Pens fans it may as well have been played at The Mellon Arena. Glad my daughter had a chance to see such an importatnt game in Pen's history!!!
Fantastic! The Penguins took it to the Canes from the start of the series & won game 4 in fine fashion. A sweep in Carolina. Nothing could be sweeter. Fleury came up with some unbelievable saves once again.
Eastern Conference Finals - Pens vs Canes. I am a Pen's fan so my view may be a bit tainted because the Pens won but it was a great experience - loved my seats - overall crowd experience was good except for a few goofs but highly recommend seeing a game at the RBC Center!
Being from Buffalo I was amazed of the crowd! They were loud and crazy like hockey fans should be but I didnt think I would see that in the south. The arena was easy to get to and easy to navigate to our seats that were in the nose bleeds! Even being up that high we had a great view of the game! Now I cant wait till the Sabers come down so I can drive to Raliegh again!
As a fan of the Penguins, I was pleasantly surprised how nice and cordial the Hurricane fans were. I was almost upset that nobody didnt give me a harder time for being a visiting fan. The parking lot was set up nicely for tailgating and we had just as much fun out there as we did watching the game. The stadium was nice and clean. I couldn't of had more fun watching the Penguins play outside of Pittsburgh.
Dave Olson and his crew at the RBC Center out did themselfs. It was a good and entertaining every minute. Constant entertainment. Very fun
Seated just 11 rows behind the Canes bench, seeing the blood sweat and tears of our opponent, and loving every minute of it. Tickemaster somehow came up with these great seats for us and it was one of the best hockey games I have ever been to.
NHL playoff hockey is always exciting. Too bad the Canes couldn't pull this game, or any game this series, out. Some stupid fans for both sides in attendance, but hockey at the RBC Center is usually very enjoyable and problem-free.
For any true hockey fan, attending a Carolina Hurricanes Home game at the RBC Center is a must do. The center location outside downtown Raleigh is easy to drive to and easy to access. Prior to the game, entertainment for the family, a live band and great food were available. Tailgating is encouraged and the air is full of southern hospitality - no matter which NHL team is visiting. The 'Caniacs (as the fans are known) pride themselves on the loudest house in the NHL and managed to drown out the large number of Pittsburgh fans in the arena.
This was the highlight of my life going and watching the eastern conference championships. I loved the excitement that the everyone in the crowd had and the action that all of the players brought to the game.
Outstanding game 4, tailgating & seats! I willl be doing itt all over again next season!!! Outstanding job RBC Center & Ticketmaster!
great game ( i am a pens fan) good seats ,good food crowd treated us great even though I am a pens fan. Loved the the whole Carolina experience.
There isn't a sport (yes I am a total college basketball fan!) like Hockey Stanley Cup Games- It is INTENSE and FAST! To go to a Hurricane Play-Off Game-Get a beautiful dinner-fab seats and 60 minutes of action! Doesn't get any better-unless you are in the Cup finals-awesome!
