About

Carly Rae Jepsen in Concert

After multi-platinum Grammy, Juno and Polaris Prize nominated singer/songwriter Carly Rae Jepsen released her critically acclaimed album E·MO·TION in 2015, it became "a modern touchstone for a new crop of pop-leaning artists and legacy acts," as NPR noted. The album also inspired an abundance of memes — extending the cultural cachet that Jepsen earned from the ubiquity of her GRAMMY® -nominated blockbuster hit "Call Me Maybe" (from her U.S debut album Kiss), which not only climbed to No. 1 on the iTunes Singles charts in over 47 countries, sold over 20 million singles worldwide, and was certified Diamond in the U.S., but was referenced by everyone from former secretary-of-state Colin Powell to Cookie Monster.

Jepsen's most recent album, 2019's Dedicated, retains the joyful, hook-filled feeling of its predecessor. But where E*MO*TION was an '80s-influenced synth-pop classic that Rolling Stone called "a pop masterclass" and Stereogum called "indisputable, unfuckwithable pop genius," Dedicated has a more '70s-inspired feel at times, though the album defies categorization as a whole, with Vulture stating, "Dedicated is both stranger and freer than the last record, but it also feels more confident and considered." Working with a crew of trusted songwriters and producers, among them John Hill, Jack Antonoff, Captain Cuts, Patrik Berger, and her longtime collaborator Tavish Crowe, Jepsen indulged in more sonic experimentation than she had in the past. Dedicated features the fan favorites "Party For One," "Now That I Found You," "No Drug Like Me" and "Julien."

Jepsen landed the lead role in the 2014 Broadway production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella and later starred as the iconic Pink Lady, "Frenchy," in FOX's four-time EMMY award winning musical GREASE: LIVE. Jepsen voiced the character of Odette in the animated movie "LEAP!," which also featured Jepsen's song "Cut To The Feeling."

Carly Rae Jepsen on Tour

Following the release of Dedicated Jepsen embarked on a global tour playing to audiences at venues like the Arizona Federal Theatre in North America, as well as crowds in Japan, China, Australia, Canada and Europe. Jepsen will return to the U.S. later this year for performances at Coachella and Governor's Ball.

  • Carly Rae Jepsen - Dedicated

by JumpinJack AJ on 7/24/19The Fillmore Silver Spring presented by Cricket Wireless - Silver SpringRating: 5 out of 5

Carly puts on a high energy show and squeezes a ton of her hits and fan favorites into her set. To be honest, I would have loved to hear her talk to the audience more and perform a couple songs from her Kiss album, and even Tug of War,,,,, but I understand that her mainstream audience wants and upbeat show. She delivered just that, because the audience sung along to every word. Carly's voice is clear and on point for the entire show. Her band is tight and her back-up singers deserve a career all their own. Pheobe Ryan complimented Carly well as the opening act. Pheobe has a style all her own, but one that Carly's fans should appreciate. I will be watching for the next time Carly is in the area.

  • Stage presence like no other

by Dee on 7/23/19The Fillmore Philadelphia presented by Cricket Wireless - PhiladelphiaRating: 5 out of 5

I absolutely love Carly Rae Jepsen but even I didn't expect how much fun I would have at this concert. She is an absolutely fantastic performer, and she just looked like she was having fun with it all night. And she does a really cute bit with her band and her backup singers during "Too Much", but I won't spoil it. Definitely go for this tour if you can.

  • Talented and fun to watch!

by CPC on 7/23/19The Fillmore Philadelphia presented by Cricket Wireless - PhiladelphiaRating: 5 out of 5

CRJ was an excellent performer! She served vocals, a costume change, and was backed by an impressive five piece band. She is definitely a seasoned performer and knows what her audience wants (hint: it's not Call Me Maybe). I would recommend her show to anyone and also her new album, Dedicated.

Carly Rae Jepson is a gay icon from Canada and honey she served looks and delivered an intimate, stirring performance at the House of Blues. She is a great performer and would definitely go see her again!

  • Amazing Night

by ZZ on 7/18/19The Fillmore Detroit presented by Cricket Wireless - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

The CRJ concert was amazing, the smaller Fillmore venue allowed for a more intimate setting and the crowd was amazing. She brought great energy and her vocals were on point. Her opening act, Mansionair, were also great and their songs were so lodged in my mind I bought their record. Definently a night to remember

  • Carly is perfection. The venue not so much.

by Brad on 7/18/19Egyptian Room at Old National Centre - IndianapolisRating: 5 out of 5

I love Carly Rae! You look at me and see a 34-year-old dude... he wouldn't like Carly Rae. Well... the fact is she's some of the best pop music out there. I'm ready for everything she puts out. I was so excited when I finally was able to attend one of her shows. I won't miss her when she rolls through from now on. I do wish it would've been at a different venue though. The Egyptian Room isn't the best venue in my opinion but many acts tour there. The building and space are cool, but that can't be the best that Indy has to offer. I've attended concerts and comedy shows there. There's always some random issue every time I attend an event here.

  • the biggest non stop dance party

by Taylor C on 7/17/19The Fillmore Detroit presented by Cricket Wireless - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

I knew going into the show that it was going to be a whole dance party, and I stood correct!!! I was jumping and smiling and dancing the entire time! Carly is so funny and all her little stories in between songs was something I am so happy I got to hear. For most, the sad part of the concert is the last song, but in Carly Rae Jepsen style, the closing song is a whole new level of happiness. With the confetti falling and Cut to the Feeling being blasted live, it’s something I will truly cherish for the rest of my life!!! Thanks for an amazing night, Carly!!

  • Great Show

by CarlyRaeFan on 7/17/19The Fillmore Detroit presented by Cricket Wireless - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

Carly was a great performer and put on a fun show. She played a lot of old and somewhat obscure songs, but the crowd was full of dedicated fans who knew every song. She played a ton of music and didn't waste too much time talking in between. She was so much fun to watch and definitely made the crowd wish we were dancing up there with her.

  • Amazing skill and energy with color!

by S2H on 7/17/19House of Blues Cleveland presented by Cricket Wireless - ClevelandRating: 5 out of 5

Carly had her finger on the the pulse of the crowd as she danced around on stage singing hit after hit. The crowd sang along with great enthusiasm and responded to her gestures. I enjoyed the small venue greatly and I was able to hear her clearly which I appreciated. We had seats along the bar with a waitress to bring us drinks.

  • Incredible

by Paul S on 7/17/19House of Blues Cleveland presented by Cricket Wireless - ClevelandRating: 5 out of 5

I'm not a huge concert-goer. I probably go to about 10-12 a year. This was by far the most incredible show I've ever been to. The energy was amazing, and Carly was perfect. She's one of those artists that really cares about her fans, and you can tell!

  • Great show

by Sara on 7/17/19House of Blues Cleveland presented by Cricket Wireless - ClevelandRating: 4 out of 5

She put on a great show. The place was alittle crowded with very tall people & it was hard for me to see so I was greatful for the TV's. The sound needs to be fixed alittle better for up top by the bars.

  • Quality Pop Music

by Rachel on 7/16/19The Fillmore Detroit presented by Cricket Wireless - DetroitRating: 4 out of 5

This was a great show - Carly sang a good balance of her new songs and songs from her other albums. She was energetic and bubbly and had really cute dances. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the of the venue's sound. The music was louder than the vocals at some points, and although I could hear her speak in between songs, I could not understand what she was saying. I've seen a zillion shows here and they usually have crystal clear sound, so I was a little bummed.

  • The Best Concert I’ve Ever Attended

by Lauren on 7/16/19The Fillmore Detroit presented by Cricket Wireless - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

I’ve been to quite a few concerts in my life, many with a lot more audience members, bigger venues, and a higher budget, but this concert felt different in that Carly made it so special and memorable. Carly is such a fantastic live performer; she has an incredible stage presence that just captivates her audience. She is so fun and bubbly and her personality lit up the theater. After knowing she spent some time on Broadway as the lead role in Cinderella, her larger-than-life stage presence makes sense! She has a great live voice too—overall, she is an amazing and captivating performer and I highly recommend attending one of her concerts.

  • Great Performer

by S. D. on 7/16/19The Fillmore Detroit presented by Cricket Wireless - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

Carly is amazing live! High energy, a little theatrical in the performance, and covering all of your favorite songs. She and her band look like they are having a great time and it comes through in the show. Highly recommended!

  • Great show, better than expected

by Lisa on 7/16/19The Fillmore Detroit presented by Cricket Wireless - DetroitRating: 4 out of 5

Songs were pop candy but had a depth to them that was intelligent and cool👍Love her new material; voice sounded great music overpowered her occasionally

  • As always - an AMAZING show

by mk on 7/16/19The Fillmore Detroit presented by Cricket Wireless - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

This was not my first time seeing Carly live and it WILL NOT be my last. She delivers nonstop bops for an hour and a half - literally no down time or slow boring songs to recover. Maybe I'm biased. But everyone else seemed to agree. I'm 22 but the amount of dancing she inspired through her 22 song set list still has my hip hurting 3 days later.

  • Lost in Her Music

by J. O. on 7/16/19The Fillmore Detroit presented by Cricket Wireless - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

I was in a dark place when I saw Carly, and a night seeing her gave me the first genuine smile in weeks. Not only was she beyond amazing, but the energy of the crowd was too. Everyone wanted to just dance and have a fun time. It was easily the best concert energy I've been at in a long long time.

  • Excellent concert!

by Concertgoer on 7/15/19The Chicago Theatre - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

One of the best concerts ever. She has great stage presents. No lip syncing, no auto-tune. Nothing but fun pop music by a great singer & entertainer.
