About

Carly Rae Jepsen in Concert

After multi-platinum Grammy, Juno and Polaris Prize nominated singer/songwriter Carly Rae Jepsen released her critically acclaimed album E·MO·TION in 2015, it became "a modern touchstone for a new crop of pop-leaning artists and legacy acts," as NPR noted. The album also inspired an abundance of memes — extending the cultural cachet that Jepsen earned from the ubiquity of her GRAMMY® -nominated blockbuster hit "Call Me Maybe" (from her U.S debut album Kiss), which not only climbed to No. 1 on the iTunes Singles charts in over 47 countries, sold over 20 million singles worldwide, and was certified Diamond in the U.S., but was referenced by everyone from former secretary-of-state Colin Powell to Cookie Monster.

Jepsen's most recent album, 2019's Dedicated, retains the joyful, hook-filled feeling of its predecessor. But where E*MO*TION was an '80s-influenced synth-pop classic that Rolling Stone called "a pop masterclass" and Stereogum called "indisputable, unfuckwithable pop genius," Dedicated has a more '70s-inspired feel at times, though the album defies categorization as a whole, with Vulture stating, "Dedicated is both stranger and freer than the last record, but it also feels more confident and considered." Working with a crew of trusted songwriters and producers, among them John Hill, Jack Antonoff, Captain Cuts, Patrik Berger, and her longtime collaborator Tavish Crowe, Jepsen indulged in more sonic experimentation than she had in the past. Dedicated features the fan favorites "Party For One," "Now That I Found You," "No Drug Like Me" and "Julien."

Jepsen landed the lead role in the 2014 Broadway production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella and later starred as the iconic Pink Lady, "Frenchy," in FOX's four-time EMMY award winning musical GREASE: LIVE. Jepsen voiced the character of Odette in the animated movie "LEAP!," which also featured Jepsen's song "Cut To The Feeling."

Carly Rae Jepsen on Tour

Following the release of Dedicated Jepsen embarked on a global tour playing to audiences at venues like the Arizona Federal Theatre in North America, as well as crowds in Japan, China, Australia, Canada and Europe. Jepsen will return to the U.S. later this year for performances at Coachella and Governor's Ball.

  • Blew Away my Expectations

by Marissa on 7/15/19Bogart's presented by Cricket Wireless - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

I am a huge Carly fan, but she completely blew me away. She was an amazing entertainer. Exciting on stage, a wardrobe change, and the splits?! What more could one ask for. She fed off the energy of the crowd which was overwhelming but in a good way. Hands down one of the best concerts I have ever been to!

  • Carly Rae Jepsen - Indy

by Concertgoer on 7/14/19Egyptian Room at Old National Centre - IndianapolisRating: 5 out of 5

If you aren’t a fan already, you will be by the time you leave the concert. 10/10 would recommend. Thoroughly enjoyed the opener as well. Also, the crowd wasn’t very rowdy at all if that’s what you like.

  • Amazing act!

by Eco on 7/13/19Egyptian Room at Old National Centre - IndianapolisRating: 5 out of 5

The whole set went off perfectly, not a single beat missed! You can tell carly and the crew are having so much genuine fun up there on stage, and they did a lot of time rehearsing. She made great eye contact with the crowd and the order of songs was really good!! Sure there’s more great things to say but it’s 8:30 am and I haven’t had my coffee yet lol! Keep up the great work!!!

  • Why did it have to end?!?!

by Derek on 7/12/19The Chicago Theatre - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

I’ve been to quite a few shows over the years. This was the first concert that everyone was dancing and singing along. Carly’s music gave me and everyone in that room a reason to let go of everything else in our lives and have the best night ever! I would definitely go to another show in a heartbeat!!!!

  • Great concert

by jh on 7/10/19Ryman Auditorium - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Carly had a great performance. She had a lot of energy and personality. The concert hall isn't very large, so it had a more intimate feeling because you were pretty close to her. Will definitely see her again.

  • Feels Right

by Henry on 7/9/19State Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was incredibly fun. My friend and I had doubts going in, but as soon as Carly hit the stage, the entire crowd went wild (in a good way) and never settled down until the concert was over. I was literally dodging the girl next to me to the beat of a song. It was a great time, highly recommend seeing Carly Rae Jepsen live, if you ever get the chance.

  • Underrated pop queen!

    by B. on 7/9/19The Pageant - St LouisRating: 4 out of 5

Amazing concert given by Carly. Only thing, wish The Pagaent would open up the balcony. I know they want it to look full, but whenever they don’t the pit just gets so uncomfortable and hard to enjoy.

  • Awesome show!

by TBx on 7/9/19The Pageant - St LouisRating: 5 out of 5

Carly Rae Jepsen puts on a great show! She has so much energy, sounds so good, and has great music to dance to with a great band to match. Definitely see her if you have the chance!

  • No Drug Like Carly

by thunk on 7/9/19The Pageant - St LouisRating: 5 out of 5

After hearing Julien, I had to know For Sure if Carly was as good live as she is on her albums. At first I was Happy Not Knowing, but after hearing The Sound of her jams, it was simply Too Much and I was Automatically in Love. Carly may sometimes say the Right Words at the Wrong Time, but this is truly Real Love. Carly's got Everything He Needs and Now That I found You, I Want You in My Room! After this amazing show, it Feels Right to say Carly, "I'll Be Your Girl!" :)

  • Disappointing for wheelchair user

by Melinda on 7/8/19State Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 3 out of 5

The handicap section is off to one side and a few rows back, which in a theater setting is fine. However, the bass speakers were aimed right at us, and the other speakers that had the voice speakers pointed inwards, so we couldn’t understand or really hear anything. Then there was the major issue of only being able to see peoples’ butts and not the stage as soon as everyone stood up. The person with me did go advocate for me. We were told that we could sit in the aisle. We were finally able to see most of the show, but the bass speakers were then so close that it made my entire body hurt from the pressure. Hearing her sing was even harder. I’d definitely think about the accessibility of venues like this with events such as concerts. I wish I could have had a better time.

  • Good, but her vocals needed to be louder.

by TMS on 7/8/19State Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 4 out of 5

The opening act was good, but most of their songs sounded the same. Carly Rae was a good performer, but where we were sitting in the middle balcony, her vocals were kind of drowned out. Most of her songs were much like the cd, she played almost all of Dedicated cd, and only a few songs from her previous CDs, which I knew better. Overall, the crowd was mostly college age, but a few older concertgoers. Really liked the energy that they brought to the whole night. Carly was good, but my only problem, not enough of her “older” stuff.

  • so amazing!

by Hadar on 7/8/19State Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

Oh my god! This show was absolutely amazing! At first I only knew Carly from Call me Maybe. But this concert made me think again about her music, her songs range from vintage 80s heartbreaker to fun upbeat songs you’d hear at your local Target. The line up was Mansonair, which is an rock indie group outside of Melbourne, Australia. They were really cool! Nice grunge feel. ;). This concert is an absolute must, with great people, and amazing music. Carly’s stage presence really made the show better! 10/10 would recommend!

Best concert ever—everyone had such great energy, Carly sang her heart out. The venue was beautiful.

  • A blast

We had a great time, Carly put on a high energy and fun performance.

  • Enjoyed the performance of Carly Rae Jepson.

by KP on 7/8/19State Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

Carly Rae Jepson and her band gave an energetic performance from the beginning to the end. They had the audience on their feet throughout most of the show.

  • Carly was great, but....

by Maddash on 7/8/19State Theatre - MinneapolisRating: 3 out of 5

Carly was great, but the accoustics were horrible. Way too much base that made both Carly and her opening act (Mansion Air) inaudible. I've atteneded other shows at this venue, and the sound was fantastic. Net, the issue was specific to sound/settings for this concert only. We sat left of center to the stage; I'm not sure if sound was better in the center. I'd give sound/accoustics a 1 and Carly a 4 to 5. She is totally worth seeing, a very energetic performer!

  • awesome!

  • Absolutely Fantastic

by CD on 7/2/19Grand Sierra Resort and Casino - RenoRating: 5 out of 5

I was not expecting Carly Rae to be as amazing as she was live. I’ve seen hundreds of acts and she is easily the happiest entertainer I have ever seen. Funny, quirky, happy, and she makes great music that translates well live. You will not stop dancing the entire time. 10/10 would recommend going to see her

  • AWESOME
