Carly Rae Jepsen in Concert
After multi-platinum Grammy, Juno and Polaris Prize nominated singer/songwriter Carly Rae Jepsen released her critically acclaimed album E·MO·TION in 2015, it became "a modern touchstone for a new crop of pop-leaning artists and legacy acts," as NPR noted. The album also inspired an abundance of memes — extending the cultural cachet that Jepsen earned from the ubiquity of her GRAMMY® -nominated blockbuster hit "Call Me Maybe" (from her U.S debut album Kiss), which not only climbed to No. 1 on the iTunes Singles charts in over 47 countries, sold over 20 million singles worldwide, and was certified Diamond in the U.S., but was referenced by everyone from former secretary-of-state Colin Powell to Cookie Monster.
Jepsen's most recent album, 2019's Dedicated, retains the joyful, hook-filled feeling of its predecessor. But where E*MO*TION was an '80s-influenced synth-pop classic that Rolling Stone called "a pop masterclass" and Stereogum called "indisputable, unfuckwithable pop genius," Dedicated has a more '70s-inspired feel at times, though the album defies categorization as a whole, with Vulture stating, "Dedicated is both stranger and freer than the last record, but it also feels more confident and considered." Working with a crew of trusted songwriters and producers, among them John Hill, Jack Antonoff, Captain Cuts, Patrik Berger, and her longtime collaborator Tavish Crowe, Jepsen indulged in more sonic experimentation than she had in the past. Dedicated features the fan favorites "Party For One," "Now That I Found You," "No Drug Like Me" and "Julien."
Jepsen landed the lead role in the 2014 Broadway production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella and later starred as the iconic Pink Lady, "Frenchy," in FOX's four-time EMMY award winning musical GREASE: LIVE. Jepsen voiced the character of Odette in the animated movie "LEAP!," which also featured Jepsen's song "Cut To The Feeling."

Following the release of Dedicated Jepsen embarked on a global tour playing to audiences at venues like the Arizona Federal Theatre in North America, as well as crowds in Japan, China, Australia, Canada and Europe. Jepsen will return to the U.S. later this year for performances at Coachella and Governor's Ball.
The wanted were absolutely amazing!!! They had just the right amount of energy and they interacted with the crowd, and were just outright unforgettable. Carly Rae Jepsen was good but her energy was nothing compared to the wanted. If you ask me she should have opened for them

We got these tickets for our daughters 9th birthday. She sang & danced the entire show!!!
Carley Rae knows her audience and plays to them well. She was definitely a pop star on stage which appealed to my 11 year old daughter, but she was not suggestive in her dress or her staging, which I really appreciated. The music was fun and she had fun at times with the audience. A one point, they brought out giant balloons for the kids to bounce around in the audience. Thanks Carly Rae for a great first concert for my daughter and her best friend!
Perfect for the kids, they had a blast. Carly Rae is a very talented and polite young lady and deserves the success she is receiving
I had a 4th row seat and it was absolutely unforgettable but I'm sure wherever you sat you would enjoy the show. She sounded absolutely perfect and interacted with the crowd often. Class A act would totally see her again if I get the chance! :)

The Wanted were HILARIOUS!!! They were so much fun and you could tell they were singing live because of them joking around on stage. Carly sounds like an 80s singer and it is AWESOME!!!
I can't believe I saw The Wanted in real life. I even met the guitarist for them, and got his signature. Should've got a pic as well. I hope The Wanted come back to Ohio!!!
I enjoyed this concert so much! I would love for them to come back to Covelli again when the are in the United States! I loved their preformance and they didn't seem like they were even trying when they were onstage. They are so comfortable and it made it even more fun!
Even though Carly wasn't feeling good, she came out & put on an amazing show for her fans. She even had her sister. When The Wanted came out I'm pretty sure every girl in the arena had a fan girl moment. They were so crowd involved & had everyone interacting. It was a lot different compared to the country shows I've saw. It's made me want to see more of the R&B, pop genres.
The show was awesome!!! I went with my 21 year old daughter - The Wanted is th reason we went. Both performances were great. We would definitely see them again.
Carly Rae Jepsen was awful, she played for 45 minutes. Wanted were much better than headliner.
Great bands, great sound, not so long that you get bored with it.
Good show but a couple words of advice. First mistake: The Wanted went before Carly Rae. Half the audience left after The Wanted. She should have opened for them. The Wanted was fantastic. They were upbeat, funny, sang great, and entertained the crowd greatly. Carly Rae not so much. She needs to learn some better stage presence. Talk to the audience a little. Get them to participate- wave to fans, get them to wave, dance, etc. She also sounded like a chipmunk, live. All in all, I see why half the audience left.

This was our first time at the Covelli Centre. Loved it! Both Carly Rae Jepsen & The Wanted were terrific! We had great floor seats, but it looked like any seat would have been good at this venue. Hope to go to more great concerts there!
