About

Cardi B In Concert

When Cardi B steps onstage, her presence is felt. It's in the army of dancers that flank her. It's in the chest-rattling bass that booms through the speakers. It's in her colorful nails, unfurling hair extensions, and sparkly couture. But more than anything, it's in her infectious personality, which emerges through fierce rhymes, lyrics that run heartfelt to hilarious, and filter-free banter that somehow paints her as both an icon of swagger, and a "regular degular shmegular girl from the Bronx," as she once put it. Starting with her runaway 2017 hit "Bodak Yellow" — the first rap song by a solo female artist to hit No. 1 in 20 years — Cardi B has been breaking records and collecting praise nonstop. She's done it as a guest on massive singles by Bruno Mars, G-Eazy, and Maroon 5, but more often on her own. Her 2018 debut album, ‘Invasion of Privacy,' smashed a handful of glass ceilings in sales – making Cardi the first woman to win Best Rap Album at the Grammys, and spawning an international hit in the bilingual "I Like It." To call Cardi B a trendsetter or star doesn't do her justice. She's a force of nature.

Cardi B Background

Cardi B's background is just as important to her story as her successes. Her multicultural heritage, pronounced New Yawk accent, take-me-as-I-am attitude, and wealth of experience as a woman struggling to win against long odds are all essential elements of the personality that blares from her songs and shows. She was born in the Bronx to a Dominican dad and an Afro-Trinidadian mom. Money didn't flow, but music did. Young Cardi listened to innovative rap stylers like Missy Elliott alongside hardcore no-frills rhymers like Trina. But her own entry to music came after a few detours — she proudly owns her past as a stripper, and parlayed her fame as a viral Vine personality into a role on ‘Love & Hip Hop: New York.' But she wisely left reality TV to pursue music in 2016. After a couple of mildly buzzing mixtapes (the ‘Gangsta Bitch Music' series), she hit it big with "Bodak Yellow," a swaggering trap anthem that would be certified seven-times platinum by the end of 2018. That year skyrocketed Cardi onto tons of magazine covers, into collaborating with huge stars like Jennifer Lopez, appearing on ‘Saturday Night Live,' releasing her universally beloved first album, and breaking countless records both commercial and critical.

    Best night of my life

by Dee Dee Lu on 11/24/20

I saw Cardi last September and i didn’t expect her to come off stage and put out her hand for everyone to hold, i was in the pit and got to touch her hand twice and get a picture with her! I love her and can’t wait to see her again

    Disappointed

    by Kiki on 9/29/20

The event was rescheduled, She was the last performer to come out, and was also the shortest performance. She was only on stage for less than an hour. Didn't even finish any of the songs she started. Was a Cardi fan until this concert. Never buying tickets for her again.

Loved Cardi B! Performed all her hits, great dancers!

by Lorri on 9/16/19Royal Farms Arena (formerly Baltimore Arena) - Baltimore

A lot of local rap talent opened the show -Yo Gotti, Moneybagg Yo, Chedda Chix, T Savage, etc. Cardi only performed for an hour & seemed to end too abruptly. I'll have to see her again when she's got more material!

    Cardi B

by AmberMariw on 9/15/19Saratoga Performing Arts Center - Saratoga Springs

To start, the show was reschedule from May to September. The entrance gate opened about 15 minutes late. Once we got through the gate, there was another wait of about a half hour before being allowed into our seats. Supposedly the performers weren’t ready. There was also a long wait between the two opening acts and then another long wait before Cardi B. When she did come on stage, she didn’t acknowledge that she had to reschedule at all which would’ve been nice. As far as the venue (SPAC) goes, the women’s bathroom inside the ampetheater was in need of attention-stalls were rusty and caked in dust. The sound quality out of the speakers was just fair. I couldn’t make out all the words of the opening acts’ songs and maybe Cardi B sounded clearer because I knew the words already. The vendors also didn’t have all of things advertised on the signs. I didn’t have lawn seats but the lawn is actually all dirt. I would never buy lawn seats.

I had purchased the merch package and was told we would get in before everyone else. We did jump the line to the front but when they opened the gates we still were in the huge ass crowd trying to run us over. But i loved Sawatee, kevin gates and most of all my girl cardi!

The show being cancelled the first time really put messed up my memorial weekend plans. Then Dababy or Blueface didn’t even come.

    Could have been better

by Rose on 9/11/19Royal Farms Arena (formerly Baltimore Arena) - Baltimore

The show started a whole hour late. The show should have been called Yo Gotti and Cardi B and Friends cause Yo Gotti made the show. I've seen Cardi preform in other cities and country and really show out she came out at 10:40 and left at 11:10 and I bought these tickets back when she was suppose to be here in May. I will not go to other concert at the Royal Farms Arena Period
