About

Cardi B is a multiplatinum-selling, Grammy-winning rapper from the Bronx, New York. Born Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, Cardi originally made a name for herself on Vine and Instagram before joining Love & Hip-Hop: New York for two seasons from 2015 to 2017. Quickly becoming an audience favorite for her unfiltered style and sense of humor, she released two mixtapes during her time on the VH1 reality show before exiting ahead of its eighth season. Cardi released her major label debut single, “Bodak Yellow,” in the summer of 2017 and it soon topped the Billboard Hot 100 for three consecutive weeks, making her the second female rapper to earn a solo No. 1 hit in the 21st century. Subsequently, Cardi’s debut album, Invasion of Privacy, became its own No. 1 when it was released in April 2018. The studio set has since been certified quadruple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and also earned the superstar her first Grammy for Best Rap Album. Other major singles in Cardi’s discography include “I Like It” with Bad Bunny and J Balvin, “Please Me” and “Finesse (Remix)” with Bruno Mars, “WAP” featuring Megan Thee Stallion, “Up” and “Rumors” with Lizzo. Cardi’s long-awaited sophomore album Am I The Drama? was preceded by singles “Outside” and “Imaginary Playerz,” and will be released on September 19, 2025.

  • Worst concert experience of my life

by Cardilover on 10/22/17Echostage - WashingtonRating: 1 out of 5

First, we had to wait an hour and a half in line. I’m talking at least half a mile from the venue. Then we finally got in around 11:30 after arriving at Echostage at 10:00pm, feet and ankles aching, pushed our way towards the middle to front. Then we proceeded to wait hours. And hours. And hours. Listening to music that I could happily listen to on Spotify in my comfortable home where I’m not being pushed and having drinks spilled on me by everyone around me, as well as getting my feet stepped on by heels whenever a huge fight broke out (there were at least two). Cardi finally came on at 1:40. So many phones in the air, no matter how close I was to the stage, I still couldn’t see her. She sang about 4 or 5 songs, and left. Without saying goodbye or thank you. My back was killing me by the time she came on and I didn’t even care to see her at that point and I am a huge fan of hers. Thanks echostage and her crew for an absolutely awful experience and night for everyone inside. I’ve been to make concerts and this was by far the worst.

The show was terrible and I hated the venue. I will never go back or to see cardi b again! Complete waste of my money!!!

  • by DisappointedCardiFan on 10/22/17Echostage - WashingtonRating: 2 out of 5

Doors opened at 9, she didn’t come out until almost 2am then only performed 4-5 of her own songs. Super crowded, lots of fights, I was patted down twice but was standing next to ppl smoking weed anyway. The streets were blocked off and it was so congested Uber’s couldn’t reach their customers. A terrible experience.

  • Don't make us wait, then only play 4 songs

by Deeeeemcee on 10/22/17Echostage - WashingtonRating: 1 out of 5

Worst experience ever. The opening acts were horrible and Cardi didn't come out until 1:30 to leave by 2.

  • Cardi B was 5 1/2 hours late.

by Anonymous on 10/22/17Echostage - WashingtonRating: 1 out of 5

Cardi B has no respect for her fans, she was 5 1/2 hours late.

  • Great but also disappointing

    by KA85 on 10/22/17Echostage - WashingtonRating: 4 out of 5

I got in line at 8pm for the concert and I was close to the front door. Doors didn’t open up until 9:30pm and when they opened they only let guys in first. Cardi didn’t come on until 1:30AM and it was over by 2AM.

CARDI showed up late and the flyer was misleading.

  • Cardi was LATE

    by Deejay2876 on 10/22/17Echostage - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

She performed for 20 min. The dj continuously said she's in the building. Then we she was about to step on stage he says she just stepped in thr building. People began to leave 30 minutes before she performed.

  • It was ok

    by lala97 on 10/22/17Echostage - WashingtonRating: 2 out of 5

I had the highest expectations when I bought her ticket, and I was excited it was at Echostage because I was familiar with the venue. First waited in line for about an hour and a half to get in (yes the line was that long) waited another hour and a half for her to perform which ended up being 1:30am she performed for about 20 minutes with a total of 5 songs and that was it. Definitely not worth the wait or money but still a cardi fan. Overall I rated this a two because the only good thing was actually seeing her.

  • Can’t get back my time!

by Anonymous on 10/22/17Echostage - WashingtonRating: 1 out of 5

I can’t get back 3 hours of my life with waiting for her. I left around 1230 am and she still haven’t performed. I feel this is really bad business. If doors open at 9pm, then she should be on stage by 11pm. Glad the tickets were cheap

  • Cardi-NO

    by Toulaye88 on 10/22/17Echostage - WashingtonRating: 1 out of 5

The event staff are aggressive and rude. Cardi B is unprofessional AF for showing up at 1:30AM. The entire experience was not worth it. Won’t be going there again.

  • Ugh! Not what I expected

by Gabssssss on 10/22/17Echostage - WashingtonRating: 2 out of 5

The line was soooo long waited outside for almost 2 hrs then for her to come out at 1:30.

  • Cardi did well. BUT...

by Alake on 10/22/17Echostage - WashingtonRating: 3 out of 5

Cardi B did very well. But several acts before her were horrible, and even booed off of the stage. XL Da Truth was good. The wait time for Cardi was horrible. We were let in at 9:10pm. But she didn't perform until about 1:20am. Nowhere to sit. It was just very bad. Apparently her contract said she is to perform at 1am. But then why have everyone in so early. People were very mad.

  • Waste of time

by Martinezsarah on 10/22/17Echostage - WashingtonRating: 1 out of 5

She didn’t come out until 1:30 and the event started at 9:00 pm! And then only performed about 4/5 songs and left.

  • Cardi b

by Anonymous on 10/22/17Echostage - WashingtonRating: 2 out of 5

Was not worth a 2 hour stand in line and then once inside she never preform until 1am and for only 20mins..

  • Didn’t see Cardi B!

    by Poohb757 on 10/22/17Echostage - WashingtonRating: 1 out of 5

Cardi B did not hit the stage until sometime after 1:15 a.m. I know this because that’s about the time when I gave up waiting for her performance.

  • Waited 4 hours for 4 songs

by Loverlofe on 10/22/17Echostage - WashingtonRating: 3 out of 5

The venue had a terrible line process and she came on stage 4 hours after doors opened to rap 4 songs for a total of 20 minutes

  • Wasnt safe!

  • Dj,Crowd,and Cardi b great

by Kaylacee on 7/6/17B.B. King Blues Club & Grill - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5

Njoyed show, would attend again. Nice crowd n drama...

  • Maybe performed 2.5 songs

by Anonymous on 7/3/17B.B. King Blues Club & Grill - New YorkRating: 1 out of 5

Doors and showtime were both 11:00 pm. We arrived a bit late on purpose and there was a line out the door. Once inside, a DJ was performing next to a group of random people on stage. The DJ kept talking over his own music (similar to the radio station 97.1 FM). Next, another DJ came on and even more people went on stage, basically filling the stage. I guess this was to feel cool for when Cardi B eventually came on and get good pictures? Cardi B eventually came on around 2:30 am. In the middle of her first song, the DJ cut the song short, maybe by accident because she seemed surprised. The stage was really packed at this point, somehow more than before. After another 2 songs, Cardi B disappeared from the stage. I didn't even realize she was done because there was no announcement or anything that she left. Very weird and disappointing show.
