About

Cardi B is a multiplatinum-selling, Grammy-winning rapper from the Bronx, New York. Born Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, Cardi originally made a name for herself on Vine and Instagram before joining Love & Hip-Hop: New York for two seasons from 2015 to 2017. Quickly becoming an audience favorite for her unfiltered style and sense of humor, she released two mixtapes during her time on the VH1 reality show before exiting ahead of its eighth season. Cardi released her major label debut single, “Bodak Yellow,” in the summer of 2017 and it soon topped the Billboard Hot 100 for three consecutive weeks, making her the second female rapper to earn a solo No. 1 hit in the 21st century. Subsequently, Cardi’s debut album, Invasion of Privacy, became its own No. 1 when it was released in April 2018. The studio set has since been certified quadruple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and also earned the superstar her first Grammy for Best Rap Album. Other major singles in Cardi’s discography include “I Like It” with Bad Bunny and J Balvin, “Please Me” and “Finesse (Remix)” with Bruno Mars, “WAP” featuring Megan Thee Stallion, “Up” and “Rumors” with Lizzo. Cardi’s long-awaited sophomore album Am I The Drama? was preceded by singles “Outside” and “Imaginary Playerz,” and will be released on September 19, 2025.

  • Horrible

    by Tali333 on 10/31/17Echostage - WashingtonRating: 1 out of 5

Fights left and right. Cardi didn't come on stage until 1:40AM (so I'm told) with an event that started at 9AM. My friends got kicked out (FOR NO REASON). I want my money back!

  • HORRIBLE

by lisaojeda on 10/30/17Echostage - WashingtonRating: 2 out of 5

Event started at 9am she did not come out until 1:45am and she only was on stage for 16 minutes. Very disappointed!

  • Decent

    by JujuBee305 on 10/30/17Echostage - WashingtonRating: 3 out of 5

It would’ve been better if we hadn’t been told the concert starts at 9, we get there and we had to wait forever in line and on top of that when the concert finally started we were all ready to go! Better advertising would’ve been nice. Venue was good tho and shoutout to security.

  • Terrible concert

by Anonymous on 10/25/17Echostage - WashingtonRating: 2 out of 5

Cardi B did not show up until 1:45AM. By that time, I had already left. It was a Thursday night, and I had work in the morning. The doors opened at 9; there is no excuse for her not showing up until nearly 2AM. I wasted my time and money. I wish I could take back this night.

  • I was let down

by MoneyMae on 10/24/17Echostage - WashingtonRating: 2 out of 5

Love Cardi, so when I saw $30 tickets I knew I was going. Doors opened at 9. Expected the concert to start at least before midnight. Cardi did not arrive until 1:30AM, with no updates from the venue or DJ. She arrived and performed for 17-20 minutes. Instead of a show, it was more like a club performance. Cardi has since stated that her contract requested her on stage at 1AM. I would highly suggest opening doors at 10/11PM then instead. Similarly, if the show will only be 17-20 minutes, make it earlier especially on a weeknight.

  • Cardi B. Was late

Waited for 2-3 hour for CardiB and she only perform for 20 minutes

  • by Anonymous on 10/23/17Echostage - WashingtonRating: 1 out of 5

The show was supposed to start at 9PM. I left before the artist came on which I heard was at 1:40AM.

  • Never again

by CassandraG on 10/23/17Echostage - WashingtonRating: 3 out of 5

The doors were suppose to open st 9 they didn't open until 9:30, the main attraction Cardi B didn't come out until 1:34am

  • by Anonymous on 10/22/17Echostage - WashingtonRating: 1 out of 5

It was terrible she arrived late and didn’t even perform long...NEVER AGAIN!

  • Unprofessional

by Anonymous on 10/22/17Echostage - WashingtonRating: 3 out of 5

The event started at 9 and Cardi did not come on stage until 1:30, at which point she said she was sick, gave a subpar performance of 4 or 5 of her popular songs, then left. The 15 minute set was not worth $45 after people had been waiting for hours and I won't be paying to see her again as a headliner.

  • Cardi will not respect your time

by Losooooooo on 10/22/17Echostage - WashingtonRating: 4 out of 5

No opening act. She performed for maybe 20 minutes and didn’t come on until 1:30am on a Thursday

  • Cardi B was late

    by realperson17 on 10/22/17Echostage - WashingtonRating: 1 out of 5

Cardi B came at 1:38am for a show that was advertised as 9pm and ended at 2am. so needless to say, the experience was terrible.

  • Trash

by Keylolopac on 10/22/17Echostage - WashingtonRating: 1 out of 5

Concert was the worst I have even been to. It was completely TRASH. She came out at 1:30 am for 30 mins and stood in the center the whole time. Don’t waste your money!

  • by Anonymous on 10/22/17Echostage - WashingtonRating: 1 out of 5

Terrible. Doors opened late. Concert started super late and didn't last long at all.

  • Cardi B Show Never Again

by Destanie on 10/22/17Echostage - WashingtonRating: 1 out of 5

The show was so bad doors opened at 9 she didn’t show up til 1:40

  • cardi B at echo stage was TERRIBLE

by WaistedMYTimw on 10/22/17Echostage - WashingtonRating: 1 out of 5

Echo stage had us wait 1 hour 30 minutes in line before entering. The LINe was around the block. Once in the venue it was not crowded. Which was at 11:50 pm then waited until 1 Am still no cardi. Then every got on instagram and notice at 1 am she still had rollers in her and doing makeup what look like a hotel. But the dj kept saying she was in the back! I have to leave like other concert goesers. WORST Experience! Never again!!!!!!!

  • Venue is fine, CARDI B IS DISRESPECTFUL

    by lazlo2012 on 10/22/17Echostage - WashingtonRating: 1 out of 5

waited almost 5 hours for her to perform 4 songs then leave. Livid. She should have just canceled the show. Want my money back.

  • Waiting for hours for only 5 songs....

by LilBeee on 10/22/17Echostage - WashingtonRating: 1 out of 5

Lost my respect for her. Understood she was sick but to make us wait hours to only “sing” five songs....truly disappointed because was my go to girl to hype me up except no one really felt that hyped up. She lip sang almost all five songs which sucked, you couldn’t hear her emotions and expressions she put in her songs. Wouldn’t go to another one of her shows unfortunately :/

  • Event was terrible

by Cparty on 10/22/17Echostage - WashingtonRating: 1 out of 5

The security failed to do their job, Cardi didn't show up until the last 30 of the event and only performed for like 20. Drunk we're weak but expensive and the event started 2 hours late
