    Camelot was great!

by Fatherand8yearold on 10/21/09North Charleston Performing Arts Center - North Charleston

My 8 year old son and I went. We had 3rd row center seats. The show was terrific. We enjoyed all of the actors, especially those playing Arthur, Gwen, Merlin, and Sir Lancelot. Even though this is a professional musical, my 8 year old thoroughly enjoyed the show, and was engaged the entire time:)

    Camelot is a timeless show...

I thought that the acting, and the singing were very good. The actor who played the lead female role of Gwen had the best singing voice I've heard in a long time. She was the main reason I so enjoyed this show.

    Camelot

by GinnyD on 10/21/09North Charleston Performing Arts Center - North Charleston

Since I have seen this show about 5 times, this adaptation was at the bottom of the list. There was some type of disconnect between the lines and the flow of the show. The casting for the part of Mordrid was AWFUL. The voice and acting of Guinevere was the best part of the show and she was absolutely wonderful. Lancelot was also very good, but Arthur left a lot to be desired. Even though his acting was good, his voice was not the best. The set was a more "modern" one, but this is not a show that should be changed into a modern set. There were defintely a lot of short cuts taken with the set. The round table was horrific!

    Sets were dissapointing

by valleyofroses56 on 10/10/09Tilles Center Concert Hall - Brookville

Camelot is one of my all time favorite shows. The actors were good, the vocals and orchestra were wonderful, however, it lacked the kind impact I was expecting from this script. It never translated to the stage. The MOST dissapointing were the sets! This is the type of play that although dreamlike in atmosphere, detailed, bold and beautiful sets would have enhanced the story manyfold! The set looked like it should be more for something contemporary or modern. It also dragged at quite a few points.

    What a disappointment!

Very bland, lackluster performance. The leading lady was good, but she could not hold her supporting cast up alone. Very amateur production!
