    Sheer delight!

by Flashyblonde on 11/22/09Pensacola Saenger Theatre - Pensacola

Camelot was a delight! I saw the movie as a little girl many years ago and I absolutely adored seeing it on stage. The actors were marvelous. Their energy and enthusiasm were contagious! I heartily recommend this musical to everyone!

    Camelot

by siger on 11/18/09Thalia Mara Hall - Jackson

The three leads (King Arthur, Guinevere and Lancelot) sang beautifully. Play dragged near the end and was toom long overall. Scenery was lackluster.

    Camelot was okay.

by mcfamily on 11/18/09Thalia Mara Hall - Jackson

The music and acting were good... some better than others. The directing left a lot to be desired. There were too many slow spots. Overall, this production felt more like community theatre - not professional theatre.

    Camelot was everything promised

by Ratfink11 on 11/18/09Thalia Mara Hall - Jackson

The actors, music and overall presentation of Camelot was wonderful. TO tell the story of King Arthur and his court would be a daunting task in any form, but to do so in one play, so completely was amazing. The props, and everything was well put together. As nice as anything I have seen previously.

    Camelot is fantastic

by Major81 on 11/18/09Thalia Mara Hall - Jackson

The underlying story of Camelot is, of course, one of the most important stories in the English speaking world. The book and Lerner and Lowes music have always been first rate. This particular company makes the story clear. The direction keeps the action moving without "shorting" anything important. The Classically trained Canadian principals (as Arthur, Guinevere and Lancelot) convey both the humanity of the characters and their importance as "Culture Heroes." All are in fine voice and handle the musical demands of the score very well. I highly recommend this show.

    Camelot: Lighthearted and Refreshing

by robjuls on 11/11/09Orpheum Theatre Sioux City - Sioux City

My husband and I enjoyed the play. We thought it was lighthearted and funny. I know there was some criticism about accents, but quite frankly, Lancelot had us laughing through much of the show. We thought the costumes were fine and the props very creative given a one-night show. We also liked all the little jokes that kept things from getting dull. Musicals are enjoyable up to a certain length! I guess the only real complaint we have is in regard to the rather anti-climatic ending. A nice note, but it could have been bigger somehow. Overall, I'm just grateful that the Orpheum is offering these kind of shows.

    Below Average

by TATAL on 11/7/09Arnold Hall Theater - Colorado Springs

We felt that the show was a "C" level. The voice of the lead female was screetchy like a fingernail on a blackboard. Access in and out of the theater was very congested. The show started late because of the traffic delays. The programs were on a one sheet page and the print was too small and faded to be unreadable.

    Disappointing

by cn007 on 11/4/09Orpheum Theatre Sioux City - Sioux City

The individual performances were OK. The sets were really lame. Just cardboard and curtains. I've seen better sets in local high school productions. The show was too long. All in all it was boring, and for the cost, a big disappointment. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else and wish we could get our money back... Capt. Chas

    Camelot acting/singing excellent

by Anonymous on 11/3/09Orpheum Theatre Sioux City - Sioux City

The acting and singing in this Camelot production was outstanding. There was a small crowd so we felt sorry for the actors but they gave us their best. The entire cast was top notch. The only downside to the play was the set wasn't the greatest but it was a small production also. The music was mostly on CD. That was ok with us. The actors singing and acting more than made up for any downside. We've seen a lot of plays and this troupe was one of the more professional. I would give 5 stars but I save that for more elaborate (and probably more expensive) productions. These actors could be in any production they try out for.

I'm glad I came to Camelot

by GeneMD on 10/28/09Lyell B Clay Concert Theatre - Morgantown

Excellent cast. Wardrobe required a lot of costume changes, and the costumes were a perfect match for the actors/actresses.

Beautiful voices and a great performance. Even kept my 10 yr old on the edge of his seat. Great job!

Well, as a drama teacher, I have a huge admiration for the crew of any traveling show. The sets, etc. were beautifully done and the modular pieces used and manipulated well. The actors were also well directed and very good at their jobs, although I think Lancelot's accent faded in and out a bit. The two students I had with me had a great time, and don't be put off by my comments, this musical is very worth the ticket price and is great entertainment. The comedic lines were delivered perfectly and the audience roared at even the smallest of the one liners. I am a drama teacher, so perhaps I am a bit more critical than the typical viewer, but this was a great show and it was wonderful to see it done really well. The actor portraying King Arthur was fantastic, although a bit too cute to be believable in his ire and anger moment.

    Very disappointing

by aps4man on 10/23/09North Charleston Performing Arts Center - North Charleston

This show was nothing like the story of Camelot. It was an attempt to display a socialistic politically correct message that failed. I pay good money to be entertained, this show did not entertain

    Camelot is good

by RealSpanish on 10/22/09North Charleston Performing Arts Center - North Charleston

The musical was really good. It showcased everything a show in its fashion needs to have to be successful. The presentation of the story was fantastic. There were some details that got out of hand, concerning sound, but it doesn't take the right from the musical to be as good as to be highly recommended.
