Orquesta Buena Vista Social Club®

This type of music from Cuba has long been a staple and to have these musicians come and perform was outstanding.

  • Awesome Show Buena Vista Orchestra!

by Steve on 8/27/25The Magnolia - El CajonRating: 5 out of 5

The Buena Vista Orchestra Show was amazing and definitely exceeded my expectations. The performers involved the crowd from the offset and were very talented singers and musicians. The individual performers showcased their talents, and it was hard to determine which set of instruments stole the show. Between Percussion, Piano, Horns, keyboards, ... and the violin! the musicianship was just amazing! The singers were powerful and really connected with the audience. Overall, this was one of my favorite concerts / shows this year! I highly recommend this show! Thank You! Buena Vista Orchestra, I look forward to seeing you again!

  • Buena Vista Orchestra - muy bien!

by JennL on 8/27/25The Magnolia - El CajonRating: 5 out of 5

The Buena Vista Orchestra was such an enjoyable music experience! First time at The Magnolia. We enjoyed the venue. Tasty food available before the concert at the Patio area too. Would highly recommend seeing the Buena Vista Orchestra and attending the Magnolia for all your music events.

  • It Doesn't Get Any Better

by Chela on 8/26/25The Magnolia - El CajonRating: 5 out of 5

The Buena Vista Orchestra was amazing! All of the musicians were fabulous as was the singer. I would recommend to The Magnolia, however, that they work on their sound system. The bass was so heavy on the microphones that the voices were difficult to understand (yes, I speak Spanish). Otherwise...OMG...what a tremendously beautiful summer night of rhythm and fun!

  • Legacy!

by drtom on 8/6/25Hoyt Sherman Place - Des MoinesRating: 5 out of 5

The legacy of this incredible band was exhibited this night. Having followed this band for sometime. I was thrilled to see that they were coming to town. The small venue was perfect. The song selection was exactly what we had envisioned. It was clear they were enjoying what they were doing. They engaged the crowd well

  • Great evening of entertainment

by Old Topeka Couple on 8/5/25Uptown Theater - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

The Buena Vista Orchestra was fantastic. I was expecting more of an acoustic concert because of the Buena Vista Social Club album from back in the day, but the more electric and loud music was exciting to hear. The music was great. The venue was beautiful and the crowd enthusiastic. Since it wasn't a sell-out, when my wife and I got there, the usher brought us much closer to the stage, so that was really nice to be closer to the action. Overall, a wonderful show.

  • High energy Cuban music

by BLJ on 8/5/25Hoyt Sherman Place - Des MoinesRating: 5 out of 5

Great music at a gorgeous old theater. I wish there had been a program naming the musicians. All the musicians were great, I wish I knew there game. There website photos don't match the folk we saw 8/2/25.

  • Talent & High Energy

by Jhub on 8/4/25Uptown Theater - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

The individual as well as the collective talent of this orchestra was so exciting to experience. Each member put their heart into their performance and showed their admiration for one another’s musical gifts. The energy they emanated was infectious and had us on our feet , not wanting it to end!

Always dreamed of seeing BVSC live. They were warm, joyful, engaging and I loved the show.

  • Great show- bad communication

by Bronx Girl on 11/14/24The Pageant - Saint LouisRating: 4 out of 5

The show was fantastic. The BVSC was even better than when I saw them in Cuba. I was not familiar with the first act, but I would really love to see more of him. I was very disappointed in that I paid extra for the Meet&Greet but missed it all because it happened around 4:30 PM and I wasn't informed. For the extra I paid i got a tote and poster worth about $1.75. I didn't complain because the show was so great but that was really wrong.

  • Great

by Linda on 11/6/24The Fillmore Detroit - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

It was a wonderful concert that ended up being a party with folk salsa dancing in the aisles during the encore. Folk who left early really missed a treat! Also, the Fillmore Detroit staff were amazing in assisting with my husband who was in a walker and had very limited mobility. It is because of them that we are able to periodically treat ourselves to some stellar entertainment. Its assistance started even when I was purchasing the tickets. The box office person helped me select seats that made the concert accessible to my husband and perfect in viewing the concert. Kudos to the performers and the Fillmore staff!
