  • True Greatness

by Roddy on 7/2/24Ulster Performing Arts Center - KingstonRating: 5 out of 5

Simply put this was a tremendous experience! Bruce Hornsby, as if the music public didn’t know it, is one of the most gifted musicians in the world. His musicianship, his song writing, and his singing are simply unparalleled. His band of musicians are consummate professionals toput it mildly. The joy of playing such great music exudes from all of them. I especially enjoy Bruce giving his subtle musical direction and the joy he gets from his band. I hope I can see more concerts given by them in the future!

  • A real star!

Great show! Great music. Excellent performance by all. Made even better when Bruce apologized after the show for losing his voice and not being at his best. A real trouper.

  • A bit disappointing

by WolverineACE on 9/20/23Sound Board at MotorCity Casino Hotel - DetroitRating: 3 out of 5

There are times when an artist is so "full of themselves"that they think they can just do anything they want. So none of the popular music that Bruce Hornsby recorded in the 80's and 90's was played anything like what you hear in the original recordings. For some reason Bruce has decided he needs to "modify"every song. That is fine if you want to do that with one or two songs, but not everything. Most disappointing was THE WAY IT IS. Almost unrecognizable from the original. Very disappointing....

  • Outstanding

A pleasure to share this event with hundreds of his devoted fans. He brought incredible musicality to the theater - playing a balance of his hits and less well known songs, drawing on a career of more than 40 years. His band was superb and he let them show their talents as well as supporting his keyboard - based songs. As I said, an outstanding event.

  • Best concert ever!

by EM on 9/15/23Victory Theatre - EvansvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Bruce Hornsby is an exceptional musician and so gracious on stage. The Noisemakers were also very talented. Together, they made for me one of the best concerts I've seen. I really love hearing instruments that are not so popular in bands anytime I can. The interaction with the audience throughout the concert was refreshing and made us feel part of a musical family. The mix of folk, soft rock, jazz and his own style were stimulating. We even heard a few requests in a 2hr 15 min, non-stop musical extravaganza!

  • Not what I had hoped for

by Rickie on 9/15/23Victory Theatre - EvansvilleRating: 3 out of 5

Didn’t do the songs I was familiar with. Didn’t feel like the sound was as good as it should’ve, been, but he sure made that dulcimer rock.

  • It was a great concert!

Bruce Hornsby and the whole band were great!! We got a free CD set with our ticket, so that put it way over the top!

  • Good show!

    by Anon1 on 9/15/23Victory Theatre - EvansvilleRating: 5 out of 5

I’ve seen Bruce Hornsby a number of times. I am a big fan of his music, I love the live experience between him and his band and the spontaneous moments that happened during the show. The attendance seemed a little sparse, but some real fans, familiar with his music, made up for it. Thanks for coming to Evansville!

  • All hits aside.....

by Brook on 9/15/23Victory Theatre - EvansvilleRating: 4 out of 5

Bruce was warm, charming, amusing, and intelligent. I must admit disappointment at not hearing his better-known works. However, I understand and respect his desire to move beyond his hits. Still, a good song is always a good song, regardless of how much it's overplayed. That, and the audience has an investment of history with them. Anyway, I'm glad I went and would do so again.

  • Brilliant!

One of the best concerts I have ever attended. I wasn't sure what to expect, but my expectations were exceeded! Great time, great location!!! Glad we were able to attend.

  • FANTASTIC

by Susan on 9/12/23Lexington Opera House - LexingtonRating: 5 out of 5

Bruce Hornsby and the Noisemakers are the REAL DEAL. No canned tracks, no autotune, no gimmicks JUST PURE MUSICIANSHIP. Takes audience requests and just slays them. Great venue Lexington Opera House. Bruce delivers. Guaranteed.

  • Outstanding and Unexpected

by Art on 9/12/23Lexington Opera House - LexingtonRating: 5 out of 5

Admittedly, I had stopped really following Bruce Hornsby in recent years and mostly knew his music from the 1990s. And while he played some of those older hits, they were updated and much improved with new arrangements, a bigger more eclectic band, and no resting on well-earned laurels. In addition, the band played some really complex arrangements, built the set around audience-requested songs, and included arrangements for dulcimer. Bruce is still in fine voice and the music was truly excellent. The Lexington Opera House was a very cool venue, and I look forward to seeing other shows there. The experience was heightened when a bat began flying around the stage--but Bruce quickly shifted to a song about a bat (albeit a baseball bat) and turned the distraction into an event. This was an excellent show!

  • Great Concert

Bruce Hornsby and the Noisemakers were great. Very talented musicians and I enjoyed watching them communicate while they were performing. I do wish that they had performed a few more of his greatest hits.

  • Great experience

by Tinydancer on 9/11/23The Charleston Music Hall - CharlestonRating: 5 out of 5

Charleston Music Hall is a 956 seat acoustically superior concert venue. Ideal location for Bruce Hornsby & The Noisemakers. They put on a two hour and fifteen minute gem of a show. The six piece band was on fire that night and left us and other attendees smiling out the door. Been going to concerts for over 50 years. This one was a keeper memory.

  • Great Show

by hooter55 on 9/11/23The Charleston Music Hall - CharlestonRating: 5 out of 5

Bruce really came back alive at this show.....all of his previous hits (and some new ones) graced the Music Hall for better than two hours. One of the best performances by him in years.

  • Disappointed

by MaryR on 9/9/23The Charleston Music Hall - CharlestonRating: 1 out of 5

Was really looking forward to seeing Bruce Hornsby to hear his songs from the 80s that I loved but was very disappointed in his concert. He played mostly songs from his new album(?) and did a LOT of free styling. The couple of songs he did do from his “Range” days were hardly recognizable the way they were done. He gave away a free CD of his latest album but not sure I’ll even listen to it. The venue was great, but the concert was a bust for me.

Best show I have seen in a long time. The musicality, the sound and the blend of genres was his best ever. He ain’t as good as he once was…he is better!
