    FANTASTIC

by Susan on 9/12/23Lexington Opera House - Lexington

Bruce Hornsby and the Noisemakers are the REAL DEAL. No canned tracks, no autotune, no gimmicks JUST PURE MUSICIANSHIP. Takes audience requests and just slays them. Great venue Lexington Opera House. Bruce delivers. Guaranteed.

    Outstanding and Unexpected

by Art on 9/12/23Lexington Opera House - Lexington

Admittedly, I had stopped really following Bruce Hornsby in recent years and mostly knew his music from the 1990s. And while he played some of those older hits, they were updated and much improved with new arrangements, a bigger more eclectic band, and no resting on well-earned laurels. In addition, the band played some really complex arrangements, built the set around audience-requested songs, and included arrangements for dulcimer. Bruce is still in fine voice and the music was truly excellent. The Lexington Opera House was a very cool venue, and I look forward to seeing other shows there. The experience was heightened when a bat began flying around the stage--but Bruce quickly shifted to a song about a bat (albeit a baseball bat) and turned the distraction into an event. This was an excellent show!

    Great Concert

by Kaye on 9/12/23Lexington Opera House - Lexington

Bruce Hornsby and the Noisemakers were great. Very talented musicians and I enjoyed watching them communicate while they were performing. I do wish that they had performed a few more of his greatest hits.

    Great experience

by suzmar on 9/11/23The Charleston Music Hall - Charleston

Charleston Music Hall is a 956 seat acoustically superior concert venue. Ideal location for Bruce Hornsby & The Noisemakers. They put on a two hour and fifteen minute gem of a show. The six piece band was on fire that night and left us and other attendees smiling out the door. Been going to concerts for over 50 years. This one was a keeper memory.

    Great Show

by hooter55 on 9/11/23The Charleston Music Hall - Charleston

Bruce really came back alive at this show.....all of his previous hits (and some new ones) graced the Music Hall for better than two hours. One of the best performances by him in years.

    Disappointed

by MaryR on 9/9/23The Charleston Music Hall - Charleston

Was really looking forward to seeing Bruce Hornsby to hear his songs from the 80s that I loved but was very disappointed in his concert. He played mostly songs from his new album(?) and did a LOT of free styling. The couple of songs he did do from his “Range” days were hardly recognizable the way they were done. He gave away a free CD of his latest album but not sure I’ll even listen to it. The venue was great, but the concert was a bust for me.

    Hornsby & The Noisemakers

by Tom on 9/9/23The Charleston Music Hall - Charleston

Best show I have seen in a long time. The musicality, the sound and the blend of genres was his best ever. He ain’t as good as he once was…he is better!

To know that Artisans live on and also respect those who have preceded is a great acknowledgment. Thank You for a great show. It will always be remembered.

Enjoyable evening, but not the party it used to be

    by Chef P on 7/3/23

I have seen Bruce Hornsby many times. A few years ago he introduced the Dolcimer into his sets and done renditions if his classics in that instruments style that would have people literally leaving the audience. He used to rock, had a great band and there are changes in personnel and hiw he plays. I enjoy when a band changes it up, but I think he has gone a little iver the top. Saw him at State Theater in Portland, scored some good seats. Great venue!

    Nice concert

Bruce performs! We will miss him for years to come. Venue was decent, security was responsible, and Portland great place to be.

    Disappointed

    by Heather on 7/3/23

Little disappointed that he didn’t do any of his classics. I paid money to see him (hopefully) perform his classics from the 80s that we all love. And maybe I recognized 3 songs. And when he finally did The Way It Is it was done in a waltz way. Just not impressed.

    Great concert!

    by Sue on 7/3/23

Bruce Hornsby and his band were great! One suggestion would be screen projection of individuals in the band to see Bruce's amazing piano playing and other wonderful musicians. He is so professional and versatile.

    Bruce and company rule!

    by Mrbertiep on 7/3/23

Bruce's performance was nothing short of incredible. The band including long time members JV Collier and JT Thomas was amazing and totally in tune with Hornsby improvisational approach. Too many high points to list them all, but "The Show Must Go On", "Funhouse", and "Great Divide"were among our favorites. The OC Music Pier is a great intimate venue, with good acoustics. Seating a bit cramped but certainly bearable.

    Missed the old hits

    by ShaLew on 7/3/23

Wish Bruce added at least a few older hits like The Way It Is and Mandolin Rain. Bruce is still spot on. His band is good too but missed the hits we know best.

    Disappointed

    by Sue on 7/3/23

The sound was off for 1/2 the concert, with the violin and guitar drowning out Bruce on the piano. I also expected more of Bruce’s old songs. That’s what drew me to buy the tickets.

Girls night out with Bruce Hornsby and the Noisemakers

    by Sandy on 6/30/23

My sisters and I saw Bruce Hornsby at the Music Pier in Ocean City NJ and he was so good. I saw him many years ago and if it is possible he got even better. That’s just the way it is!!!!

    The Way It Is!

    by Tom W on 6/30/23

Bruce Hornsby and the Noisemakers are probably one of the best live acts around. The group is tight, the jams are engaging and the overall experience is excellent.

Not as expected, but still good

    by Mandy on 6/29/23

We went to the show expecting to hear the hit songs by Hornsby, but only heard 2 of them (Look out every window and That's The Way It Is). Hornsby played a lot of songs we didn't recognize, but he is incredibly talented and really put on a unique show. The Noisemakers were awesome, especially the very talented drummer who also played spoons on a washboard for a few songs. Be prepared for longer songs and impromptu jam sessions between Hornsby and the band. They sound great together. Hornsby also made some witty comments to the audience and added commentary between songs, which made it feel more personal. Overall, it was a great show, but wish we would have known that he rarely plays all his "hits".
