    Bruce at his best!

by Lu on 2/7/23Rialto Theater - Tacoma

Bruce Cockburn has been performing for about 50 years. He’s written an amazing selection of songs that will be enjoyed into eternity. Bruce is an incredible guitarist. When added to his voice and lyrics, few if any musicians can top him. Bruce is one of a kind.

    Beautiful

by Coco + Jaybird on 2/7/23The Centre in Vancouver - Vancouver

Bruce was so great! The intimate nature of the show, his guitar solo's were engaging. Appreciated the opportunity to be part of Bruce's 50th Anniversary. Thank you! C+J

    Lukewarm

by SWC on 2/4/23Rialto Theater - Tacoma

I wanted to see this legend to make sure I didn't miss the experience. Of course, I wish I had done this a couple of decades earlier in his career, but he still knows how to put out good songs. He turned down a request saying 'the fingers don't do that anymore' so we missed the magic guitar playing of his earlier years. Too bad for me, but the longtime fans in the audience seemed pleased.

    Great to see Bruce

by Glenn on 2/3/23Rialto Theater - Tacoma

The stage was simple, no fancy light show. When Bruce walked out on stage with a large walking stick and stooped posture, I wasn’t sure what to expect. What I was most impressed with was how strong his voice was. His vocals felt as strong as when I had seen him close to 40 years ago. Strong and clear, able to hit all the notes (including the high ones), and his guitar playing was certainly fabulous, he has a style that he has owned for the whole time I’ve been listening. I would definitely go to see that show again. All I can say is thank you Bruce Cockburn!

Loved this truly amazingly intimate performance by one if th

by Kolin on 2/3/23Rialto Theater - Tacoma

This was probably my favorite of more than a dozen of Bruce Cockburn concerts I’ve enjoyed over the years. It was so intimate and Bruce is still an amazing guitar player, singing performer and still prolific song writer. I loved his solo renditions if many of his longtime hits and gems, but was truly amazed by his new songs soon to be available.

    Good but not great

by Mark on 3/2/22The Wilbur - Boston

The last two torus BC had a full band and sounded great. This time was solo with a more subdued sound. I realize there is still a pandemic, but still, this was the "50th anniversary" tour. the last big one! Just an OK setlist too. No songs from "Nothing But a Burning :Light"! All that said, he sounded good and the venue was comfortable and felt safe.

Great performance - vocals hard to understand

Bruce and his nephew did a great show. The instrumental work was awesome. Vocals were sometimes hard to make out.

    Bruce!

by Rita on 11/18/19Avalon Theatre - Grand Junction

Perfect venue for a genuine troubadour. Mr. Cockburn and his nephew were magical. His gravelly voice brings an impact to his words of gravity and prescience. An absolute delight! This was one of the best shows I have attended at the Avalon, and I cannot wait until he returns. Superb show!

    Bruce!

by 45 years on 11/18/19Avalon Theatre - Grand Junction

Bruce, the Guitar Master, was fantastic in GJ. He did a fairly wide range of his music over the many decades. While Bruce didn't express himself verbally a lot, his energy was truly apparent and he communicated through the music and seemed to enjoy himself. It was such a delight to get to see this wonderful, acclaimed musician who I have been listening to since 1974. The sound was great. We could hear every note and understand the words. I didn't want the evening to end!

Great Musician - not so great show

by Willow on 11/14/19Neptune Theatre - Seattle

Love Bruce Cockburn as was excited to see him live for the first time. We bought seats in the front section, but they were very uncomfortable. The chairs themself were uncomfortable, but we were also so incredibly squished with the folks next to us. The people in the audience continuously screamed at Cockburn - especially the man behind us. So while Cockburn himself was great, the discomfort in our seats, and annoyance at the people yelling, did put a damper on the experience.

    Musical delight...

    by mu_shin on 10/30/19Birchmere - Alexandria

After a brief delay at the door while employees of the Birchmere worked out a computer glitch, the evening in my estimation was a total success. Long time fan of Bruce Cockburn, and his playing and singing, along with the pristine accompaniment by his nephew, were high caliber and top notch. While Cockburn did not provide what many might consider many of his “hits”, most notably “If I Had A Rocket Launcher”, he explained that now was not the time for that song in the context of current events, and I think a lot of attendees appreciated that position. His selections featured new and older compositions, reflecting a long and diverse career. A fine evening with an accomplished artist at the height of his powers.
