  • What's "Christmas" about this show?

by Bubbascant on 12/20/13Music Hall At Fair Park - DallasRating: 1 out of 5

The advertising for this made everyone of us in my family attending think it was going to be a Christmas show. Aside from the opening number, we were treated to broadway fare. I never saw the original movie. I suppose "Blue Skies, nothing but blue skies" fits right in. Not. We left at intermission. And you might want to consider your stage sets/position. As we were stuck way in the back right of the auditorium, there were scenes at tables or other times where we couldn't even see the actors. I've never been this far back at Fair Park (and never will again) as it makes it hard to see. The sound was awful. I have zero hearing problems but being so far back, and with the overhanging terrace seats above us which probably blocked a lot of sound, you might consider doing some surround speakers or something that pumps up the volume. What a waste of time and money. It was a horrible evening. Quit promoting the show like it's "Christmas fare" when it's not.

  • Play was fantastic

by facekesswibfacelesswonder on 12/20/13Music Hall At Fair Park - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

Although you can never remake the movie White Christmas, which is my absolute most favorite movie of all times, this play was wonderful! It was entertaining. The dancing was astounding. All the characters were believable and absolutely pullsedthe audience into the play, making the audience live the characters with them. This is now my most favorite play to have attended. Congratulations to one and all.

The current touring cast was incredible!! This was our second time to see "The Lion King" and it was even better than the first. The talent of these singers is awesome! Rafiki was especially memorable.

  • Beat-les!!

by T123 on 12/1/13Music Hall At Fair Park - DallasRating: 3 out of 5

Over all it was a good show. Well worth seeing but it could have been greatly improved. The Sgt. Pepper era should have been the first thing back after intermission not in the first act. Spend more time with the older stuff. More Ed Sullivan/Shea Stadium. Eliminate the sitting in 3 chairs and playing songs in the second act. I don't ever remember The Beatles with that wardrobe or that set up. When they do the music on the roof how about "Paul" get into the proper wardrobe and look. 60's Paul wasn't on the roof. Nothing wrong with a fake beard. They can look very real now-a-days. The music was tight and good like I said the show could use some tweaking to make it 5 stars.

  • Rain, amazing Beatle tribute

by cpope625 on 11/29/13Music Hall At Fair Park - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

Our second time to see Rain in person. We saw them on tv, and we were so impressed, we bought tickets to an upcoming concert. We weren't disappointed. They are even better in person. Anytime they come close to my hometown, I'll be buying tickets.

  • RAIN is astonishing!

by JoeGSr on 11/28/13Music Hall At Fair Park - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

Attending this performance is virtually the same as attending a performance of the Beatles at the height of their powers and talents. And the production is spectacular--the sound, the lighting, the costumes, the non-singing behavior and comments of the performers--all contribute to the overall effects. No one who enjoys Beatles music, especially from their live performance days, should miss this. Wonderful!!

  • The best I have ever seen!

by IvonneC on 11/28/13Music Hall At Fair Park - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

I have seen many Beatle tribute bands and this sounds, looks and is the best. I have even seen Beatle bands in Livepool England during international Beatles week and Rain is spectacular. You really feel like you are watching the Beatles. Their Paul is even left handed! I will go back and see them every chance I get.

  • Here Comes the Sun!

by DeDe14 on 11/27/13Music Hall At Fair Park - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

Loved this show. It's a full-out, music-packed concert with all of the Beatles music everyone knows. Sing along; it's welcomed. There is no story here, no characters like most Broadway musicals. This is a concert and these guys play the original Beatles stuff -- no artistic license, no strange personal interpretations. This was a holiday gift for my husband -- a musician and Beatles lover -- and he loved it. I think I liked it even more. I was too little to know the Beatles when they were the "really big show", but I know this music and I was happy to sing along! The tickets were fantastic -- terrific options in terms of seating, great prices for what we received, easy to purchase and see what I was buying online. (Only disruption was audience members who couldn't put their phones away even when asked by attendants and other audience members. The glare from phones of people who just HAD to take a picture ruined the ambience and the view for spurts of time. (Seriously, buy a program and keep your phone under wraps!) I'll keep DSM in my rear view mirror always for a great gift or evening out.

  • IT WAS FAB!!

by Likeness on 11/27/13Music Hall At Fair Park - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

My first time to see them. They were really good. Brought back a lot of old memories.I was eleven years old when The Beatles came over to the US and I saw them live in Dallas, TX. The Fab Four. These guys even have the body movements down. Wish they had played more songs off Sgt Peppers and the White Album. Really great!!

  • Rain rocked Dallas

by kooljamman on 11/27/13Music Hall At Fair Park - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

Ever wonder what it would be like to see the Beatles play all those wonderful songs that they never played onstage? Check out the latest "Rain" tour and you'll find yourself transported back in time to experience what might have been. The musicianship of these guys in incredible. The stage banter is very realistic. The costumes exquisite... But the music is the story. The music steals the show. I would highly recommend this show to anyone of any age.

  • Fun family experience

RAIN did an excellent job of replicating the Beatles sound. My daughter enjoyed the show very much.

  • Never stop Raining!

  • Dont miss RAIN

by wosi on 11/27/13Music Hall At Fair Park - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

This is much more than a tribute band playing The Beatles top hits... its a 60s/70s history lesson for the younger crowd and a trip down memory lane for persons who grew up back then. Take some earplugs for the ones in your group that might not like their music a little louder.
