About

Over the course of crafting a 29-album catalog and architecting 40 Billboard #1 singles as a keyboardist, songwriter and producer, Brian Culbertson has charted his own unique course in music. Label him jazz and he makes a funk record. Call him an R&B artist and he drops an acoustic jazz trio collection. And you'd be hard pressed to name another instrumentalist of his ilk who can mount an elaborately designed concert production that will keep him on the road for three consecutive months.

Culbertson burst onto the scene in 1994 with a chart-topping album that he recorded in his college apartment featuring keyboard-led contemporary jazz tracks. Flash forward to present day, Culbertson has been going back and listening more and more to music that inspired him as a young musician such as David Sanborn, The Brecker Bros, Chick Corea, Al Jarreau, Pat Metheny & others in the jazz fusion world.

Whether you're listening to music from "Day Trip" on record or live in concert, you're hearing an eclectic, entertaining and engaging set from an artist at the peak of his power.

Band and Brian sounded fantastic, really good sound system there. The Factory Great is an awesome concert venue. Too bad it was on a Tuesday, wished they could've played longer! Love him coming to the Lou!

  • I was truly satisfied

    by ccneal523 on 11/15/25Akron Civic Theatre - AkronRating: 5 out of 5

I hadn't been to a concert in over at least 20 years, but once i started listening to Brian Culbertson I knew that i had to experience his energy. I missed his last performance here in Akron OH. So I had been searching the net to see where the closest, he would be performing near here. I hadn't searched in awhile, and had just mentioned to two of my closest friends, I wanted to see his performance, and that he was on my bucket list. One week later it pop up on facebook that his Day Tour would be here in Akron. I didn't hesitate on purchasing tickets, and I wasn't disappointed. On of the best concerts I have ever attended. Back in the day I had attended entertainers from The Jacksons to The Time and almost everyone in between. I must say Brian you rank right up there with the best of them. I can't wait to see you again. Thank you and your fellow musicians for an amazing concert. You guys are truly some of the best at your craft. May you all continuing to please us with greatness. God Bless you all during and beyond the tour.

  • Brian's performance didn't disappoint.

by Smokey on 11/15/25Uptown Theater - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

First row in center of balcony were excellent seats to see show, but not most comfortable. Very little leg room. Nonetheless, this was our 2nd time seeing Brian and he was just good as the first time if not better. Loved that he played 3 songs from his new Day Trip album. Been wanting to hear other songs from that album other than "On The Road"that's always played on the Watercolors SiriusXM channel. Bought the CD.

  • BC NEVER DISAPPOINTS!

by Tina Tina on 11/14/25Akron Civic Theatre - AkronRating: 5 out of 5

I was purchased an early bird VIP package for The Civic Theatre in Akron, Ohio. I traveled from Indiana! My seat was in the orchestra pit row AAA, seat 1! If that wasn't enough, we were able to enter early and shop the merch table before the crowd came! We were able to have a nice Q&A pre-show chat with Brian and take pics with him! He and his band just killed it at the concert-they ALWAYS do! This man and his band NEVER disappoint! Until the next time.....

  • Awesome, more than just entertainment.

by Big Sarge on 11/14/25The Factory - Saint LouisRating: 5 out of 5

Brian Culbertson is never boring, never the same. This isn't grand parents jazz, Brian's band is tight, and modern. From start to finish you are entertained. Worth every cent.

  • Positive Energy

by Valentines on 11/14/25The Factory - Saint LouisRating: 5 out of 5

Brian Culbertson has really stepped up his game! One of the best concerts he has put on outside of the one I attended at Newport Beach. Go BriN and kiddos to all of the musicians!

  • Energized Concert

by Landor on 11/14/25The Factory - Saint LouisRating: 5 out of 5

Brian Culbertson always creates excitement during the concert. His talent has evolved over the years, producing Red, Blue, and White, and the latest, focused on Road Travel, is epic. The horn section blew the roof off The Factory. We look forward to his tour in 2026.

  • Outstanding, entertaining and incredible musicianship

by Chip on 11/14/25The Factory - Saint LouisRating: 5 out of 5

Brian and his band… well the title says it all! The music, the sounds, the artistry, and the performances from start to finish is extraordinary. I brought my adult daughter and son-n-law to the concert to introduce them to Jazz… only to create high expectations going forward for them now :)
