Over the course of crafting a 29-album catalog and architecting 40 Billboard #1 singles as a keyboardist, songwriter and producer, Brian Culbertson has charted his own unique course in music. Label him jazz and he makes a funk record. Call him an R&B artist and he drops an acoustic jazz trio collection. And you'd be hard pressed to name another instrumentalist of his ilk who can mount an elaborately designed concert production that will keep him on the road for three consecutive months.
Culbertson burst onto the scene in 1994 with a chart-topping album that he recorded in his college apartment featuring keyboard-led contemporary jazz tracks. Flash forward to present day, Culbertson has been going back and listening more and more to music that inspired him as a young musician such as David Sanborn, The Brecker Bros, Chick Corea, Al Jarreau, Pat Metheny & others in the jazz fusion world.

This concert was great, from start to finish. First act set the stage , and Brian just made it awesome. The show should have gone on all night long!!!!! I would have stayed..........

Wow! Brian Culbertson was exceptional! This was the best concert I've ever attended! I've enjoyed Brian's music for many years, but had never seen him in concert. Of course, my expectations were high, but the concert exceeded my wildest expectations. So much so, that I'm planning to attend another of his concerts next month.
Brian's music was just awesome live, his energy was phenomenal. I will recommend his concert to all jazz lovers, they wouldn't be disappointed!
Have enjoyed Brian's concerts for years. We were happy to see that he was coming to this area since it has been awhile. Musician-ship and professionalism is at an all-time high. So much energy from Brian and members of the band. Fun for the audience to watch and be a part of.
We saw Brian Culbertson 5 yrs. ago at the House of Blues in Cleveland. He was phenomenal!! We raved about him to family and friends for a long time. Our recent experience was very different at the Akron Civic. His music has moved from snappy soft jazz to a harder jazz sound. We didn't like it at all and left half way through the concert.
Both Horns and Things and Brian Culbertson were great. Had a great time. Musicians were all excellent and I loved the energy and entertainment of both acts.
THE OPENING ACT WAS FANTASTIC - THEY GOT THE CROWD HYPED FOR THE MAIN ATTRACTION. BRIAN IS THE MAN!!!! HIS BAND WAS GOOD TOO!
Brian Culbertson is an awesome artist and he always puts on the best show ever. This was my second time seeing him and everytime he comes to the Cleveland area I will be there without a question!!!

Brian was absolutely fantastic! His signature style of playing never ceases to amaze me. I always tell people, in order to appreciate Brian, you must see him live in concert...he will not disappoint. Outside of the music, he has an incredible knack for connecting with his audience. He is in complete synch with his band and the energy level is through the roof. By show's end, everyone is on their feet.

This was my 3rd time seeing Brian Culbertson in concert, and I was not disappointed. He continues to be a great performer as well as a great musician. His band was awesome too! I can't say enough good things about this show. I will definitely go see him again when he comes to town.
I've been a Brian Culbertson fan for over 13 years. His career spans 20 and he is one of the most talented artists I know. He gives such an amazing performance EVERYTIME. My favorite venue to see him play is the Birchmere because it is intimate and you can see all of his facial expressions and how much he is into the music. Talented writer, composer and plays multiple instruments, but makes that keyboard talk back.
The show was so dynamic and enjoyable. Brian Culbertson is one-of-a-kind and oozing with talent and showmanship. He and the band put on quite a lively show and we can't wait to see him again. The Birchmere was an intimate venue, but not suffocating. The food was scrumptious and the price was quite reasonable. Bottom line......we definitely got our money's worth.....and then some.

The Venue was in a not so inviting neighborhood. The food, hostess, and host were wonderful. The show was excellent which is what Brian Culbertson and his band were all about. We were thoroughy pleased.
This was a great show. Brain is a heck of a performer. He and his band turn the place upside down.
