Over the course of crafting a 29-album catalog and architecting 40 Billboard #1 singles as a keyboardist, songwriter and producer, Brian Culbertson has charted his own unique course in music. Label him jazz and he makes a funk record. Call him an R&B artist and he drops an acoustic jazz trio collection. And you'd be hard pressed to name another instrumentalist of his ilk who can mount an elaborately designed concert production that will keep him on the road for three consecutive months.
Culbertson burst onto the scene in 1994 with a chart-topping album that he recorded in his college apartment featuring keyboard-led contemporary jazz tracks. Flash forward to present day, Culbertson has been going back and listening more and more to music that inspired him as a young musician such as David Sanborn, The Brecker Bros, Chick Corea, Al Jarreau, Pat Metheny & others in the jazz fusion world.

Brian has a ton of energy throughout his concerts. He has you rocking in your seat the whole time. I love his music and his style. He is an amazing artist. I highly recommend this concert to all my family and friends.
The Brian Culbertson concert was fabulous. High energy and very entertaining. You could see he loves what he does. If he would have been there two nights. I would have paid to se him those two nights.
My husband and I went to see Larry Coryell and had no idea who Brian Culbertson was. What a surprise! We have never more enjoyed someone whom we had never heard or heard of before seeing them. Larry and Ralph Armstrong were, of course, incredible, but the set was very short. They had the sound too low also. Brian and his band were amazing and talented. He really connects with the crowd. Chene Park is outstanding-right on the Detroit River and the acoustics rival any venue we have been in.
Never enjoyed a pianist as much as i did. Would definately go again!!
Brian was incredible! He and his band can really jam and had a ton of fun, resulting in everyone else having a ton of fun. He was phenomenal!!!
2nd time to his concert and he has yet failed to put on a good show. Wish he would come on a Friday or Saturday but his concert is well worth it if you are a jazz fan.
I enjoyed this concert soooo much! I had forgot how good he was.Anytime he's in the area I will definitely go see him if I can. I have been playing his music in my car every since the concert.
Truly a great performance, by a great performer. In fact I had the opportunity to see Brian the next night in Columbus at their Jazz and Ribfest , again Brian Culbertson put on a outstanding show. The opening act of: Horns and Things was also a great addition, worthy of a show of their own.
Brian Culbertson is a WONDERFUL musician and performing. He has great stage present and has a wonderful team of musicians with him they all make the instruments he plays come alive. I drove from Cleveland, OH to see him. He gives a great show and any time I have an opportunity to see him I will make it happen. I absolutely love him and have every one his cds.

Past excellent performance, I'm so glad that I was not able to get rid of my ticket because that week end was my grand daughter's 1st Birthday and I was going to have to attend that party. But it worked out and I was able to see Brian Culbertson perform. I enjoyed every minute of it. He is outstanding and a person artist with his fans, which makes me follow him to other venues.
What a magnificent show. He is quite the showman. A burst of energy!! His band is great also!!
The show in Akron Ohio was wonderful, very upbeat and rockin' for a jazz concert...my wife and I had a great time!

This one of the great Jazz musician of our time. But infuses funk blues jazz all in one one of the best shows I've seen. Brian showmanship and interaction with the crowd was amazing fun time.

I decided at the last minute to go to this concert AND, I am so glad that I did. Brian Culbertson was/is the ABSOLUTE BOMB! What's more if he were playing there again this weekend, I WOULD BE THERE AGAIN; I so enjoyed the show, it was OUTSTANDING! :-)

Brian and his band are one unforgettable act that I would see again. Horns n Things was a great opening act and got the audience ready for Brian Culbertson, the main attraction. He is so talented, energetic and entertaining and the fact that beside his incredible mastery of keyboards, he played trombone on several numbers. No breaks, just played straight through, the song Dreams a nice ballad to breakup the tempo a bit.
