About

Brett Goldstein--a breakthrough British creative force on and offscreen -- has emerged as one of Hollywood's most sought-after multihyphenates. He is the co-executive producer, writer, and star of the Peabody-winning Apple TV+ series, "Ted Lasso." Hailed by fans and critics alike, season three made waves after surpassing its previous record-breaking haul, once again leading as this year's most-nominated comedy series with 21 Emmy nominations. His scene-stealing performance as the brash yet lovable Roy Kent has earned him numerous accolades including two Primetime Emmy Awards for 'Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy,' making him the category's first back-to-back winner in almost 15 years.  He additionally received a 2022 WGA Award nomination as part of the show's writing team, having scored two wins the year prior. Goldstein is the creator and executive producer of the cathartic comedy "Shrinking" alongside Jason Segel and Bill Lawrence, which has been renewed for a second season by Apple TV+. This follows the success of his critically acclaimed AMC limited anthology series, "Soulmates," which he created and executive produced with Will Bridges. He is the host of the iHeartRadio award-winning podcast, Films To Be Buried With, which finds him in candid conversation with special guests as they discuss the films that have shaped them.

    Fantastic comedy with an edge

by TheRVW on 4/9/24Arizona Financial Theatre - Phoenix

Brett Goldstein is known for his costarring role as the gruff Football veteran Roy Kent on Ted Lasso, but as a comedian definitely has the chops. His comedy is sharp, observational, and often hilariously played on being a famous British man in America. He is clearly a skilled writer, and did NOT disappoint on stage!

    Amazing Night

by VRO on 3/25/24Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

We had such a great experience at Fox theatre and Brett was beyond hysterical. I was crying laughing all night! The theatre had great concessions, was clean, the seats are roomy, and the venue is beautiful!

    It was ok

by Jackiemarie3 on 3/25/24Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

We loved him in Ted Lasso and love the shows he’s helped write but unfortunately I don’t think he is a “comedian”. Some thing’s were funny but not the same funny as when we’ e gone to see actual comedians.

Brett was hilarious, down to earth, and such a fun time! Great, raunchy stand up routine and I also enjoyed the Q&A at the end. We enjoyed it a lot and would definitely go back.

    Definitely top 2 best nights!

by Great comedy and venue on 3/25/24Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

We fell in love with Brett Goldstein on Ted Lasso. Roy Kent was my favorite character on the whole series. When I saw he was touring with stand up AND he was making a stop in Michigan I knew we had to go. I surprised my husband with tickets for Christmas and the gift did not disappoint. We both laughed from start to finish. His opening act, Mo was a hoot too! It was my first time to the beautiful and historic Fox Theater. It was breathtaking and well staffed and maintained. I definitely would recommend this show and will be visiting the Fox again.

    I couldn't love him more

by GirlieQ24 on 3/25/24Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

I only became aware of Brett Goldstein via "Ted Lasso"and "Shrinking."I had no idea that he also performed stand-up comedy. Very, very funny. I think it truly was the second best night of my life. If you are even a casual fan, you should not miss him if he travels to your town. Thanks again, Brett.

    Not that great, honestly.

by JC on 3/25/24Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

Warm up comedienne was simply not very funny. Goldstein was ok, but not worth the ticket price. Wouldn't pay to see him again.

Highly entertaining and a genuinely nice guy!

by Chet on 3/25/24Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

Brett did a sensational job, we were laughing all evening! Now this wasn't gut splitting rolling on the floor humor but rather a combination of outright funny comedy combined with some deeper and intertwined humor that hits you a couple seconds later when you unravel all the pieces. Brett comes across as one of the nicest people around and his comedy isn't at the expense of anyone in particular but rather general commentary on things we pretty much all have experienced ourselves. He is super relatable and did a great job pulling in the entire audience. Brett is less cocky than many comedians which shows in his interactions with the audience as well as what he will and won't discuss on stage. Overall, he did an exceptional job and I would go see him perform again in a heartbeat. Funny, funny, funny and his English accent makes him that much funnier for some reason. Do yourself a favor and go catch a show, you will absolutely leave happier than when you arrived!! Would have like to have had a Roy Kent cheer though from the crowd ;-)

    Amazing night! He’s hilarious.

by Cory on 3/25/24Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

From start to finish he was amazing, I wasn’t the biggest fan of his opener though. She was funny and had some great jokes but you go to comedy shows to laugh and take a break from the world/issues and her skit just seemed to shed light on a lot of it. I’m not saying that’s bad, but it’s not ideal for a comedy show. Brought the vibes down a little bit. Either way, Brett was Amazing and I’d definitely see him again.

Great show...the venue let me down

by Gulfgirl29 on 3/25/24Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

Brett was an absolute pleasure to watch and listen to. His opening act was spot on as well. Laughed so much that we both left with our cheeks hurting. As for the Fox...the ushers were MOST annoying with their flashlights being waved around in direct eye contact with the crowd. The threats before the show about being ejected if we were caught with our cellphones out should have been directed at the staff instead. It was distracting and unnecessary after the performance had started. If this had occurred once, probably wouldn't mention it, but this happened several times.

Unique humor. Fresh look at America

by SlimGoodie on 3/25/24Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

Don't expect Roy Kent. Hilarious observations of America. Great look at himself in ways few people do. Very enjoyable show by still R-Rated. Not for young ears but these old ones loved it.

by Smoknjoeonthego on 3/25/24Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

I had no idea what to expect, but I was laughing the whole time. A few off color jokes came back in the best way, and I cannot wait to see them evolve the ne t time I see Brett!
