No drugs needed to enjoy this show! I should have gotten floor tickets because my restless leg syndrome was going crazy standing still.

best show yet, Dream On cover = sick

by mslink531 on 12/15/09House of Blues Chicago - Chicago

Was an excellent setlist for Breaking Benjamin. Janus was OK and Sick Puppies was wayyy better than expected, very talented group that I had not heard to much of - will be getting more of their music. Breaking Benjamin lived up to their reputation. 3rd time i'd seen them and they killed it! HOB as the venue was a great fit.

    PAPA ROACH ROCKED IT!

by cToy on 12/15/09Scottrade Center - St Louis

Everybody sounded really good. the local bad was awesome (Purple Arrow). I'll be looking for their cd I guess at Vintage Vinyl. The only reason I didn't rate the show 5stars is because Breaking Benjamin made an attempt at "Dream On" that I wasn't too fond of. I love Joe Perry and the BB's guitar intro was NOT Joe Perry status. BUT other than that the vocals were good and the 2nd half of the song was nice because they "rocked" it a little harder than the original. The pic I posted isn't very clear (i was waaaay up top), but it's of Jacoby and Papa Roach.

    Papa Roach rocked the house!!!

by Ebits on 12/15/09Scottrade Center - St Louis

Sick Puppies and Papa Roach were unbelievable! Would see Papa Roach again anytime! Disappointed with Breaking Benjamin-alot of people were leaving before they even finished and if I were to rate them on their own, they would only get two stars. Papa Roach and Sick Puppies deserved 5 stars! Papa Roach should have been the headliner-really enjoyed thier performance!

    Breaking Benjamin rocked the House!

by Alimob on 12/15/09House of Blues Chicago - Chicago

I wasn't the biggest fan of Janus, but Sick Puppies was awesome! The lead singer had so much energy throughout their entire performance and the bassist was amazing! Breaking Benjamin was really good even though the lead singer had a sore throat. I would totally go see them again!

it was really good, Sick puppies put on a really good show that i knew they would. Papa Roach was the shocker. They had a really good set list and also performed and put on a good show. BB was good, but Ben was sick so he took it easy on stage. All in all really good show would recomded this show and these bands to everyone.

    Janus was awesome

by nzam88 on 12/15/09House of Blues Chicago - Chicago

The songs appeared to be good, although the sound was not great. I realize concerts are loud from everyone yelling but the microphones could have been better.

once again breaking benjamin was awesome!

by lupusnocens on 12/15/09House of Blues Chicago - Chicago

I've been a Breaking Benjamin fan since saturate, and actually saw them years ago at the riv here in chicago. That show was pretty damn good. This time around they were even better. Not only is their music as good as ever but there stage show is much different from back then. Comparing the 2 shows for me shows how they have grown in popularity and have refined their music. This time around they had more material to choose from and even through in a nice nod to aerosmith with their cover of dream on. even with a sore throat benjamin burnley sounded pretty awesome. they also put on a pretty good stage show, they dont just stand around they really enjoy what they're doing and it shows. I will once again as always recommend them to people who like a good time and good rock. Janus is a band that i had heard of but never really new any of their songs until last night, After last night i would have to say that they're not bad but not great. I would give them 3 stars. I like they're sound, but it reminds me of someone else, maybe 30 seconds to mars? I know it sound like i might be a little harsh, but i did enjoy them just not as much as the other 2. Sick puppies was pretty damn good, i give it 4 maybe 4.5 stars. They're on stage energy is amazing, and they really try to bring the crowd into it. until yesterday i didnt know they had a female bass player let alone one as talented as the one they have, even though the bass was almost the size of her, she threw it around pretty good. my favorites from them last night were war, youre going down, and survive, but they're whole set was pretty good.

    Sick Puppies were AMAZING!

by LP1619 on 12/15/09House of Blues Chicago - Chicago

Overall, the show was great. I love the House of Blues. It was just a little short. I expected Sick Puppies & BB to play longer sets.

Bands rocked, amount of people sucked!

by Peachy5 on 12/15/09House of Blues Chicago - Chicago

I couldn't even enjoy the concert because too many people were on the floor moshing and throwing people around. I was too busy trying to keep people from pushing me to the ground to see how amazing Breaking Benjamin looked. They sounded great, but I don't think I'll ever come back to a concert that big with the floor situation as it is.

    3 bands, 3 solid performances!

by EROK311 on 12/15/09House of Blues Chicago - Chicago

I will admit to having problems with sound issues during previous trips to House of Blues in Chicago, but took a chance this time because I really enjoy Breaking Benjamin. Other than a few tech problems, the show went over really well and I became so engrossed in the overwhelmingly upbeat vibe that I wasn't even concerned about what I might not be able to hear. Such an amazingly layered performance from a great group of guys. Doesn't hurt that they had 2 equally impressive opening acts who brought their A-games also. Loved the fact that so much commotion was going on, you could literally feel the floor shaking beneath your feet. Great concert!! Would definitley recommend catching any of the 3 acts if you can. Having them all together in one night was something that will be remembered well into the new year.

    Awesome As Ever!

by Zounds04 on 12/15/09House of Blues Chicago - Chicago

This show was awesome!!!! Breaking Benjamin always delivers when they perform. Poor Ben was sick that night too with a "jacked up throat" as he put it. Yet he still was able to pull out a fantastic performance! Sick Puppies rocked it out too! This is definitely a band to check out if you don't know them. Janus was alright. They are just starting out, so they are still building up their reputation.

Maybe next year will be better

by BBfan1 on 12/15/09Scottrade Center - St Louis

I thought the show was a little too long. All the bands were good except Breaking Benjamin had some problems. I have seen BB 6 times and this is the only time that they were not very good. Ben was sick so, no hard feelings. These things just happen sometimes. BB was louder than the other bands and they sounded distorted. They also didn't have a very good set-list. Too many songs from Phobia. I really miss the smaller shows at The Pageant . I wish Breaking Benjamin the best and get well soon Ben.

Breaking Benjamin Still Has Work To Do

by cregan on 12/15/09Scottrade Center - St Louis

Show was over all a good time. Sick Puppies did a good job with time allowed and sounded great. Papa Roach was suprisingly fantastic. Their energy and sound was top notch. Would definitley recommend seeing these guys. Breaking Benjamin which is one of my favorite bands, that I have seen multiple times, were just not on their game. Benjamin, the lead singer, was very sick and it showed. The bands usual high energy was not there. This is their first true stadium tour where they are the headliner and the fact of the matter is that they do not possess knockout puch that a headliner needs. Their show was predictable and laboring. Might have been Ben's health, but Breaking Benjamin just didn't live up to their reputation, and did not give the fan's their monies worth.
