    3 bands, 3 solid performances!

by EROK311 on 12/15/09House of Blues Chicago - Chicago

I will admit to having problems with sound issues during previous trips to House of Blues in Chicago, but took a chance this time because I really enjoy Breaking Benjamin. Other than a few tech problems, the show went over really well and I became so engrossed in the overwhelmingly upbeat vibe that I wasn't even concerned about what I might not be able to hear. Such an amazingly layered performance from a great group of guys. Doesn't hurt that they had 2 equally impressive opening acts who brought their A-games also. Loved the fact that so much commotion was going on, you could literally feel the floor shaking beneath your feet. Great concert!! Would definitley recommend catching any of the 3 acts if you can. Having them all together in one night was something that will be remembered well into the new year.

    Awesome As Ever!

by Zounds04 on 12/15/09House of Blues Chicago - Chicago

This show was awesome!!!! Breaking Benjamin always delivers when they perform. Poor Ben was sick that night too with a "jacked up throat" as he put it. Yet he still was able to pull out a fantastic performance! Sick Puppies rocked it out too! This is definitely a band to check out if you don't know them. Janus was alright. They are just starting out, so they are still building up their reputation.

Maybe next year will be better

by BBfan1 on 12/15/09Scottrade Center - St Louis

I thought the show was a little too long. All the bands were good except Breaking Benjamin had some problems. I have seen BB 6 times and this is the only time that they were not very good. Ben was sick so, no hard feelings. These things just happen sometimes. BB was louder than the other bands and they sounded distorted. They also didn't have a very good set-list. Too many songs from Phobia. I really miss the smaller shows at The Pageant . I wish Breaking Benjamin the best and get well soon Ben.

Breaking Benjamin Still Has Work To Do

by cregan on 12/15/09Scottrade Center - St Louis

Show was over all a good time. Sick Puppies did a good job with time allowed and sounded great. Papa Roach was suprisingly fantastic. Their energy and sound was top notch. Would definitley recommend seeing these guys. Breaking Benjamin which is one of my favorite bands, that I have seen multiple times, were just not on their game. Benjamin, the lead singer, was very sick and it showed. The bands usual high energy was not there. This is their first true stadium tour where they are the headliner and the fact of the matter is that they do not possess knockout puch that a headliner needs. Their show was predictable and laboring. Might have been Ben's health, but Breaking Benjamin just didn't live up to their reputation, and did not give the fan's their monies worth.

    GREAT Night!!!!

by LEXA on 12/15/09House of Blues Chicago - Chicago

It was a really amazing show, Janus performed first and really got the crowd going. Sick Puppies played next and I thought that they did a better "performance" than BB. They signed autographs after their performance, although Shinedown wasnt a part of the lineup they came out and acknowledged the fans. BB really rocked out. Great concert to wrap up the year :)

Papa Roach = phenominal live performance.

by Morty516 on 12/15/09Scottrade Center - St Louis

The entire show was amazing. 1057 the Point knows how to put on a show. Brookroyal, Sick Puppies, Papa Roach, and Breaking Benjamin were all awesome. Gotta love that a local band opened for such a powerful lineup, and totally rocked!

    The bands killed it!

by wickedcamaro on 12/14/09The Midland by AMC - Kansas City

I didn't get a chance to see Adelita's way. I had never seen Sick Puppies and I really enjoyed them. When Papa Roach came on, they rocked the place. I had seen them twice before and I think this was the best time I've seen them play... and Breaking Benjamin... man, they were so into KC! I watched them in Wichita 6 days prior and they were good... but I've never seen them interact with the crowd as much as they did here @ Twisted Christmas. The crowd was going crazy, the band was playing great.. this is definitely one of the best concerts I've been to.

    overall great show but.....

by mofocus on 12/14/09Scottrade Center - St Louis

The only problem i had was the placement of the stage it should have been dead center like Metallica was. Brookroyal was a great opening band and it was uphill from there. Sick puppies put on a great enough show that I immediately bought the cd. Papa Roach was just electric and got the crowd going. Breaking Benjamin was perfect even though Ben had been sick really got the crowd into it to sing. Excellent concert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Fantastic

by Arec on 12/14/09Scottrade Center - St Louis

It's been a long time since I have seen Breaking Benjamin and now I remember why I attend their shows over and over again. When I found out that they were playing the Ho Ho Show, I was thrilled since I hadn't seen them in years! Ben Burnley was amazing, as always, sounding just like he does on the cd and even though he was sick, he stick put on a great show. This was also the first time I have ever seen Sick Puppies and Papa Roach, although I have been a long time fan of the latter. I didn't know many of the lyrics to their song yet I still had a fun time watching them and just listening to the parts I didn't know.

    Papa Roach was better

by cgb09320 on 12/14/09The Midland by AMC - Kansas City

I thought Papa roach was better than breaking benjamin really. I like both bands they are both good but Papa roach should have headlined just by the way they played. Breaking benjamin must have had a hard time following them up. On another note, limited view at the midland by AMC isn't the greatest. :(

    Ben's voice was jacked

by Boombah on 12/14/09Scottrade Center - St Louis

First off let me say this. Breaking Benjamin is one of my favorite bands and I have seen them many times. And when they are on their game there is no one better live!! That being said this was not one of those nights. First of all the house PA system was having major problems that made eveything sound like crap. Second Ben's voice was totally wasted and he could hardly talk much less sing. So the show was very short and sounded like.crap. If this was the first time I had seen them, I probably would never go see them live again. Fortunately I have seen them before at the Verizon Amphitheatre and they were nothing short of amazing there. It's a shame that they had such an off night and it really wasn't their fault at all.

    Sick Puppies and Papa Roach!

by Aussie110872 on 12/14/09Scottrade Center - St Louis

Breaking Ben was not as good as I would have expected. He mentioned his throat was messed up. He did try, but after the Papa Roach act, that was tough to follow. I am now a huge fan of Papa Roach! They did great. I truly went to see Sick Puppies, they are one of my faves. All in all the concert was great, but there really should be more security and stricter rules. People all around us were smoking....not just cigs. And too much beer was sold...there really should be a limit. We are there to enjoy and have fun. Not get harassed by drunken and stoned individuals. Not to mention how in the world did these people get home? That is so scary.

The bands were all amazing and Brook Royal was good, only down side was the vocals, they needed to UP the vocals so us up top could hear what was being said. Otherwise AMAZING LINE UP and i will for sure, go again next year.
