ADAM SAVAGE & MICHAEL STEVENS BRING YOU

BRAIN CANDY LIVE

It’s what your mind is hungry for…

Adam Savage, one of television's most loved personalities, has joined forces with Michael Stevens, one of YouTube's biggest stars and they're coming to a theater near you. They’re bringing along more than three tons of their crazy toys, incredible tools and mind-blowing demonstrations for a celebration of curiosity that’s an interactive, hands-on, minds-on theatrical experience like no other.

Brain Candy Live has been described as "A cross between TED Talks and the Blue Man Group."  Savage and Stevens can’t wait to unleash their collective sense of wonder, curiosity and fun and they’re inviting you and your friends and family to join-in and get your minds messy. Adam and Michael’s Brain Candy Live experience is like a two-hour play date with Walt Disney, Willy Wonka and Albert Einstein.

Ask yourself, "Is it possible to 3D print a human - live onstage? Can you slow down the effects of gravity with something we throw away every day? What happens if everyone on earth jumps in the air at exactly the same time? Can anyone bottle-up a magical invisible substance and use it to power a rocket?" Discover all this and more as Adam and Michael entertainingly answer questions, question answers and talk Mother Nature into doing some things she’s never done before!

Smart is the new superpower and two of this planet's most entertaining everyday heroes are coming to your town to rescue you and your family from boredom. Join them as they use their secret recipe of fun, surprise, excitement (and just a pinch of danger) to cook-up and deliver a giant batch of magical Brain Candy to every mind in the audience.

    Likable hosts fail to deliver

by Dentrdoc on 3/4/17DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham

Likable hosts could have delivered the science information in a more coherent fashion. While some of the demonstrations were very cool, the principles behind them could have been better explained with a better use of the video screens. The ad lib parts seemed stilted and disjointed. This show could be really awesome but isn't there yet.

    Brain Candy was incredible!!!

So many ping pong balls! They put on an amazing show and break it down to make it super understandable.

    More than worth it.

by TimTamShortage on 3/4/17DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham

Atom Savage and Molecule Stevens do such a good job of engaging and entertaining the crowd, and they looked like they were having genuine fun onstage which made the experience that much better.

    For Kids

by BruggsNC on 3/4/17DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham

There were some interesting moments but overall seemed like it was geared toward kids as the target audience.

by Adegvneyt on 3/4/17DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham

This show was funny and educational. Loved how they made learning fun and that they showed you could be a science nerd and cool at the same time.

It was fun....however, it did not meet my expectations in terms of experiments... Michael n Adam did very well in terms of attitude n entertainment...i did enjoy seeing them.

Dull, probably for the younger set under 12.

by NerdDadfromNYC on 3/3/17Beacon Theatre - New York

We love Michael Stevens' youtube videos which are far more informative than the performance. This show was a pleasant example of a few experiments of basic physics principles, but it was very dull for my 13, 15, and 17 year old boys. This might be somewhat fun for a late elementary or younger middle school set of kids or perhaps myth busters superfans.

    Candy for kids

by SlicerMe on 3/3/17Beacon Theatre - New York

If I knew the format of this show I wouldn't have gone. Seeing Adam's name I thought the show would be geared more towards the Myth Buster's theme. I will agree the science that was given to the audience is away to make adults and children think more about it.

A fantastic blending of entertainment & science

by AStateofIllusion on 3/3/17Modell Performing Arts Center at the Lyric - Baltimore

What a great show! I laughed - and learned - way more than I had expected to. Looking forward to this show when it's in our area again!

    Fun with Science

by Sara1959 on 3/3/17Beacon Theatre - New York

I loved seeing "Brain Candy Live". It was science made fun & tangible for the audience. The 2 hosts were greats showmen who seemed to be having fun themselves. I purchased a VIP pass and that experience, though costly, was worth every penny. The VIP pass gave me a good seat, and the chance for a backstage meet & greet. This component of the show was well-organized. The VIP's (about 150 people) were divided into smaller groups and escorted backstage for a Q & A session. Adam & Michael answered my question in detail. Next, each person (or family) got their picture taken with the hosts. This too was well-coordinated to move things along, but still give everyone an enjoyable moment. Here, the hosts took a moment for a bit of conversation withe everyone, as they took pictures.

One whole night of my life I will never get back.

by GPSDB on 3/3/17Beacon Theatre - New York

A ridiculous waste of time. Purchased the tickets as a Christmas present for my girlfriend' son as he is a big fan of the guy with the YouTube channel and he was extremely excited to see this. Well, half way through HE was falling asleep never mind his mother and I.

I felt that I paid too much money for a glorified middle school science fair, with faulty equipment, one demonstration failing, scattered conversation. Would not go again

    Pretty cool

by TicketmasterOfficial on 3/2/17New Jersey Performing Arts Center - Newark

Was cool to see Adam Savage and Micheal Stevens in person. But it felt like the science didn't go as deep as it would normally in a VSauce video. I guess it was more dumbed down for general audience / family, so more middle/highschool feeling. But had the Mythbusters bigger-is-better formula applied so pretty neat.

    Uneven Show

by RichieA13 on 3/1/17New Jersey Performing Arts Center - Newark

Show was roughly two hours, including a 15 minute break. Sorry to say that there wasn't much TO this show. The show was more like a lecture ... ALOT of talking, but far too few demonstrations and cool props for the audience to enjoy. I have always thought Adam is very entertaining .... and Michael is more personable than "Silent Walrus" (Sorry Jamie) ..... but the current show just lacks flow and constant entertainment. For $50.00 a ticket (X3 in my case), plus Ticket Master fees AND $18.00 for parking, I 'bought' three of the most expensive PING PONG balls EVER!

    Interesting Duo, great show

by Woogie526 on 3/1/17New Jersey Performing Arts Center - Newark

As a parent, educator, and an audience member, brain candy live was amazing for many different reasons. My son was so excited and paid attention the whole time, even throwing something back at me the next day when i said something sucks. From an education standpoint it was through, and thought provoking and modeled many great attributes of life long learners. I would highly recommend, each person we were with had a different favorite moment.
