About

Boys Like Girls are a pop-rock band that formed in 2005. The quartet skyrocketed up the charts with anthemic singles like “The Great Escape” and “Love Drunk,” with the latter’s accompanying music video featuring High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale. Their two breakthrough singles were followed by a sweeping emo-tinged ballad featuring Taylor Swift, “Two Is Better Than One,” which helped the band’s second album (2009’s Love Drunk) land in the Top 10 on the Billboard 200. In 2012, the band’s frontman Martin Johnson began writing/producing music for everyone from blink-182 to Avril Lavigne, leading to Boys Like Girls going on hiatus (reforming sporadically to tour between 2016 and 2020). In May 2023, the band released “Blood and Sugar,” the first single from their upcoming fourth album and their first new song in over a decade.

  • So so good

by Mo on 9/20/23The Fillmore Charlotte - CharlotteRating: 5 out of 5

Wanted to see them as soon as I saw they were going on tour. Went by myself and had an amazing time. The Fillmore charlotte was a great venue (my first time going). The band was amazing live. Played all the hits and some great new songs. Excited for new album.

  • BLG 10 YR

by lynwoodian on 8/27/16The Belasco Theater - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

Last time I saw BLG was in 2009. To see them perform their self-titled album was everything I hoped it would be and then some. It was amazing and unforgettable.

A-Freaking-Mazing! They might actually be better now than they were 10 years ago!

  • They Were OK

by whatifiguredout on 8/23/16The Belasco Theater - Los AngelesRating: 3 out of 5

It was great to be there listening to BLG's self-titled album live in its entirety (at least for the nostalgia), but they didn't sound great. The drums and guitar completely overpowered the vocals. Their opening act (The Old Fashioned) was surprisingly good. I really enjoyed their set. Overall, the show wasn't bad, but it wasn't amazing either.

  • Boys Like Girls was amazing

by XxxSteph123Xxx on 8/23/16The Belasco Theater - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

The opening band managed to pump up the crowd as much as Boys Like Girls did by preforming unbelievable covers of popular music from 10 years ago to commemorate Boys Like Girl's ten year anniversary of their self titled album. Overall, the concert was amazing from start to finish and lasted well over 3 hours and was worth the price. They preformed the entire album from start to finish and a few other hits such as love drunk.

  • Boys Do Like Girls

  • Tonight will change our lives

by coffeekale on 8/23/16The Belasco Theater - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

I've been a fan of Boys Like Girls for all of these ten years. When I found out they were doing this tour and NOT coming to my city, I had to make my way there. It was unregrettable, unforgettable and amazing. I would recommend this event to my friends, if it was happening again but it's not. So if you did not attend, you truly missed out.

  • Amazing

by amandabenton on 8/23/16The Belasco Theater - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

Hands down the best of any BLG shows I've been to. The guys were so engaging with the audience and it was obvious they were there to have a good time playing music with their best friends and the people that have loved them for 10 years. If I could do it again, I would in a heartbeat. Such a great and unforgettable experience with my favorite band of all time!

  • Boys Like Girls were unforgettable!

by BLG10 on 8/23/16The Belasco Theater - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

The 10-year anniversary tour of Boys Like Girls self-titled album was an AMAZING experience. Watching these guys relive and enjoy the stage with each other again was thrilling. The second (and last night) of the tour at the Observatory was even more thrilling and emotional watching these guys wrap up their tour. AMAZING!

  • An Incredible Night

by Tenaciousmew on 8/21/16Newport Music Hall - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

Drove 3 hours all the way from Northeast OH to see this show, and it was FANTASTIC. The last time I saw BLG was in 2009, and they were just as good if not better than I remembered! Vocals and instrumentation were beautiful and there was so much energy and admiration from both the band and the crowd. It was truly an unforgettable night that left me practically voiceless and speechless after the show.

  • Boys like Girls are forever the best!

by julescoookies on 8/18/16The Pageant - St LouisRating: 5 out of 5

I can't believe it took a 10 year anniversary for them to go on tour again but they're the absolute best. The meet and greet was absolutely AMAZING! They were so friendly and no was no rush at all. But I got too shy that I completely forgot to actually talk to them and be human. Big regrets. My bestie and I still can't get over the concert and are so close to getting tickets to their last showing. If only they had more shows! I pray this won't be the last of BLG. I listened to them during the best times of my life and I hope they don't stop just yet.

  • BLG10

by aashneww on 8/18/16Newport Music Hall - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

I have been a HUGE fan of BLG since their first album- when I was a freshman in high school. I told my husband, its like every song on that album spoke to me at a different point in my life. You know, at that time- BLG were the only ones that could understand me *insert eye roll...* I walked in to this concert not sure what to expect. I knew I would know all of the songs, but being such a huge fan, and this being my first time seeing them, I was afraid I would walk away disappointed. I thought maybe they wouldn't live up to all that they were 10 years ago. BOY WAS I WRONG. This show was one of the best concerts I have ever been to. Martin was so into the music and really cared about his fans. I really loved when he STOPPED playing in the middle of Love Drunk to tell everyone to put their phones away. He said that if we really want to see the show on our phones, that we could watch it on youtube later, but they are standing right in front of us playing and still people wouldn't look up. I thought it was great that he asked everyone to just enjoy the music that is being performed RIGHT IN FRONT OF US. All that being said- if you get the opportunity to see BLG, GO! They will not disappoint.

  • Amazing!!!!

This was my fourth time seeing Boys Like Girls, and my third time meeting them! They were AWESOME in concert, and in person, as ALWAYS! This is my daughter's favorite band to begin with, and has become one of mine after taking her to the first concert! I love these boys, especially Morgan Dorr! Definitely a recommended concert to go to!

  • Boys like Girls was amazing

by yayitslauren on 8/16/16Newport Music Hall - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

I have seen BLG multiple time within the past ten years and this was the best show of theirs I've seen. They had energy, passion and really showed their talent. This was their ten year anniversary tour of their first CD. It was special. They were so happy to play - it was all excellent.

  • Boys Like Girls killed it!

They were amazing! They played nonstop and put so much energy into the show. Best concert that I've seen in a long time!
