About

Boys Like Girls are a pop-rock band that formed in 2005. The quartet skyrocketed up the charts with anthemic singles like “The Great Escape” and “Love Drunk,” with the latter’s accompanying music video featuring High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale. Their two breakthrough singles were followed by a sweeping emo-tinged ballad featuring Taylor Swift, “Two Is Better Than One,” which helped the band’s second album (2009’s Love Drunk) land in the Top 10 on the Billboard 200. In 2012, the band’s frontman Martin Johnson began writing/producing music for everyone from blink-182 to Avril Lavigne, leading to Boys Like Girls going on hiatus (reforming sporadically to tour between 2016 and 2020). In May 2023, the band released “Blood and Sugar,” the first single from their upcoming fourth album and their first new song in over a decade.

  • Exactly what you wanted.. and more

by Jus on 10/19/23The Fillmore Charlotte - CharlotteRating: 5 out of 5

Fantastic show from all the bands. Charlotte kicked off the tour and was amazing to see all the bands in form and Boys Like Girls play ALL the classics and some new ones. Simply awesome.

  • Fun, high energy concert full of nostalgia

by KD on 10/19/23Fillmore Minneapolis presented by Affinity Plus - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

For the ticket pricing, this was a well worth concert! Lots of amazing bands, venue was full of super fun elder emos, all jamming to some good throwbacks! All of the bands sounded fantastic, the venue was clean, and drink prices were average for a concert these days!

  • Amazing concert!

by Melissa on 10/18/23Fillmore Auditorium (Denver) - DenverRating: 5 out of 5

Boys Like Girls put on a show that was PACKED with hits. There was very little talking compared to how much music was played, which is exactly how I like my concerts! The band created an excellent atmosphere for all who attended. 10/10, I would see them again in a heartbeat!

  • An experience

by Shellz on 10/17/23Fillmore Auditorium (Denver) - DenverRating: 5 out of 5

Seeing boys like girls was as amazing as seeing them back in 2009 they have the same great energy and really involve the crowd to participate and make it such an experience!

  • State Champs > BLG

by Nate N. on 10/16/23The Depot - Salt Lake CityRating: 3 out of 5

State Champs is what the scene needs. Boys Like Girls were good for the moment. But State Champs know how to start and finish a party.

  • So so good!!

by RC12 on 10/16/23The Depot - Salt Lake CityRating: 5 out of 5

My husband and I had a great time at the concert! We loved getting to be so up close to the band and the event space was perfect! We have loved the band for years and were so excited when they came into town again!! Can't wait to see them again, hopefully soon!

  • Pretty Meh

by Bill Buttlicker on 10/16/23The Depot - Salt Lake CityRating: 2 out of 5

Left about 7 songs in. Couldn't hear anything. Just fuzz and bass. No distinction between the two guitar players and the vocals were drowned out by the fuzz. Also, boyslikegirls being 15 minutes late and then coming out smoking cigarettes was about as dumb as it gets.

  • Performing on a whole new level

by Super fan on 10/16/23The Depot - Salt Lake CityRating: 5 out of 5

As if the openers weren't already amazing and worthy of their own headlining, Boys Like Girls absolutely brought the house down! One of the amazing parts of their show is that they did not stop playing at all! They creatively tied together all of their songs, a few covers, and storytelling to their incredible musicianship and crowd control. A definite must see!

  • Derek sings my soul

by Chinoliscious on 10/15/23Paramount Theatre - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

Went for State Champs.. Martin, you’re cool. Derek is the next FOB❤️

  • Nostalgic excellence

    by bb91 on 10/10/23The Masonic - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

I felt 18 again. Martin continues being such a force onstage. They have two new guys and while I do miss Paul and BDooey, Greg and Jamel were amazing. They had a few technical difficulties but they didn’t let it stop them from performing and putting on such a GREAT show. Welcome back BLG. We missed you!

  • BLG and friends

by MoeQ on 10/5/23House of Blues Las Vegas - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

Great venue, friends and experience. Fantastic! BLG is at the top of their game. New music mixed with old and still going strong. One friend grew up on this music. As for me I’ve been on the carousel listening. Keep it up! Grandma and Mom would have loved it🇨🇦

  • Wild. Fun. Almost Ruined.

by LALA on 10/5/23Bayou Music Center - HoustonRating: 4 out of 5

I loved when BLG finally hit the stage. LoLo was really good. The other 2 bands were a strange choice for this lineup... They were a trumpet away from being ska and it felt very out of place. Though the bands themselves were good, their fans do not understand the basics of "mosh pit etiquette"and it nearly ruined the whole night... I do not blame bands for the actions of the audience, but when you see girls who aren't engaging in the pit getting hit by your fans who aren't even trying to make a perimeter for a mosh pit, the least you can do is acknowledge and address it. "Let's show them how we do at our shows"wasn't the acknowledgement that was needed. That makes me want to never see your show live if you're okay with your fans hitting people who are clearly not interested in being in a mosh pit. I saw at least 3 girls and 2 guys get hit in the face by a mosh pit participant and not once did they apologize. I've been to metal shows with a true mosh pit, we do not include y'all in this family. You are not welcome here, and the bands should be embarrassed that this happened within FEET of the performers.

  • Partial View Not Adertised

by Jess on 10/5/23House of Blues Las Vegas - Las VegasRating: 3 out of 5

Enjoyed the show, however when purchasing my seat there was no mention that the view was obstructed. I was only able to see able 1/3 of the stage and what I could see of the stage was through a railing. More information should have been provided at the time of booking to avoid the disappointment.

  • Great performances!!

by Jazz on 10/5/23House of Blues Las Vegas - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

90 minute set from Boys like Girls. Awesome time! Loved the openers too! 3oh!3 was spectacular and State Champs are always good!

  • Fangirl

by Kiki on 10/4/23Hollywood Palladium - HollywoodRating: 5 out of 5

They were amazing! Set list of 30 songs. Sound really good live. Venue staff was really nice.

  • Indescribable

by Cris on 10/4/23Hollywood Palladium - HollywoodRating: 5 out of 5

  • Awesome

    by Pet_rock75 on 10/4/23The Van Buren - PhoenixRating: 5 out of 5

What a great show. All the bands killed it!!! Loved hearing new bands I’ve never heard of and loving them. Boys Liked Girls are such awesome guys and put on one hell of a show. I loved every minute of it. Being right up front and seeing them and all the singers was breath taking and probably a once in a lifetime thing.

  • SERIOUSLY?!?!

by Jess on 10/3/23The Van Buren - PhoenixRating: 5 out of 5

This was the BEST concert I have ever been to! Boys like Girls are amazing performers! I was in AWWW the whole time! My two favorite parts were when they taught us a portion of their new song coming out so that we could sing along! ANNND at the very end when we all pretended it was 2006 and put our phones away to enjoy the moment!! Seriously gives me chills just thinking about it! I loved how personable and interactive they were! I LOVED IT and will be so tempted to go and see them every time they come! HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend!

  • They are back!

by Jlyoung93 on 10/1/23The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory - IrvingRating: 5 out of 5

The lineup was awesome, but Boys Like Girls was absolutely amazing. As a super fan they put on a hell of a show. Next time i'm buying vip tickets for sure
