About

Boys Like Girls are a pop-rock band that formed in 2005. The quartet skyrocketed up the charts with anthemic singles like “The Great Escape” and “Love Drunk,” with the latter’s accompanying music video featuring High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale. Their two breakthrough singles were followed by a sweeping emo-tinged ballad featuring Taylor Swift, “Two Is Better Than One,” which helped the band’s second album (2009’s Love Drunk) land in the Top 10 on the Billboard 200. In 2012, the band’s frontman Martin Johnson began writing/producing music for everyone from blink-182 to Avril Lavigne, leading to Boys Like Girls going on hiatus (reforming sporadically to tour between 2016 and 2020). In May 2023, the band released “Blood and Sugar,” the first single from their upcoming fourth album and their first new song in over a decade.

by BLGCobralver on 11/1/09CLUB NOKIA - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

All the bands were amazing! definately a good combination of bands. The maine have great songs and are always a pleasure to watch, and cobra starship is VERY entertaining. Boys like girls were my personal favorite. They pulled alot of the audience up on stage during the last time. Definitely a show worth seeing!

  • All Time Low was super awesome to see live!

by Amferny on 11/1/09Nokia Theatre At Grand Prairie - Grand PrairieRating: 5 out of 5

The whole concert was the best I ever been to. Not because it was two tours in one but because each band knew how to put on a show especially Cobra Starship and All Time Low. I been to a Cobra Starship show once before when they were basically starting out and they still threw one hell of a show. But the title goes to All Time Low because thats was indescribable, they really know how to make a party. My first time seeing them live and I cant wait til i see them perform again!!! I totally recommend seeing each and every one of these bands perform live!!!

I will never forget this concert. All the bands that performed were absolutely amazing!! It was easily the best concert I've ever been too, and I've been to quite a few. Pit passes are a must! They sounded amazing live and I would go see them again in a heartbeat!

  • Awesome concert!

by Maddybelle on 11/1/09Nokia Theatre At Grand Prairie - Grand PrairieRating: 4 out of 5

The concert was very awesome! the only thing that got on my last nerve was the crowd! They were like a bunch of grandma's and grandpa's! they werent as excited as i thought they would be, but i sure did rock out! \m/(^.^)\m/

The best concert i've been to so far! Even though it was really long the bands kept me on my feet and singing along all night!!

  • Overall very good!!

by JensReview on 11/1/09Nokia Theatre At Grand Prairie - Grand PrairieRating: 5 out of 5

There were so many good bands at this concert. I think the best band of all was all time low. I have seen them three times and each time they were better than the last. The only problem I had was that the speakers on the left side when facing the stage were really not working most of the night. We only got the sounds from the stage speakers. That was really disappointing. You could hear people singing louder than the band.

  • Totally rocked!!!

by Breezybri on 11/1/09Nokia Theatre At Grand Prairie - Grand PrairieRating: 5 out of 5

This show totally rocked! All the bands were amazing but Cobra Starship and Boys like Girls sure put on a hell of a show!

I was so happy to see bands like the Maine and All time Low pack the Nokia Theatre. Everyone sounded amazing and it was an incredible experience, thanks to everyone who made it possible.

  • All Time Low was LEGENDARY!

by Takkun on 11/1/09Nokia Theatre At Grand Prairie - Grand PrairieRating: 5 out of 5

Overall amazing concert. Nothing better than to see some of your favorite bands play together and dress up for Halloween. Although I was really there only for the MAINE and All Time Low, the other bands really put on a show, especially Cobra Starship. All Time Low did an absolute amazing job and I can't wait to see them again when they return to town.

  • Awesome show!

All the bands that played were very entertaining. I love love love Boys Like Girls, We The Kings, and All Time Low's performaces <3 Can't wait to see them all again! I didn't dig the sound system at Nokia Theater too much tho. Definitely didn't do justice to all the boys' music <__<

  • Boys Like Girls was SPECTACULAR!

by RJ1965 on 11/1/09Nokia Theatre At Grand Prairie - Grand PrairieRating: 5 out of 5

All of the bands seen had a great performance. We The Kings was great at getting the crowd pumped up, and everyone's show was unforgettable!

  • by Anonymous on 11/1/09Nokia Theatre At Grand Prairie - Grand PrairieRating: 5 out of 5

The entire event was unforgettable. Cobra Starship had an overall amazing performance with the lights and everything. All Time Low is just awesome in themselves. And rushing the stage at the end of Boys Like Girls just topped it all off. Not to mention, every single band had costumes- SWEET!

  • All Time Low was amazing!

by rockerxchick on 11/1/09Nokia Theatre At Grand Prairie - Grand PrairieRating: 5 out of 5

So, the show was amazing! All the bands looked great! I think Cobra Starship and All Time Low looked the best! All the performances were gerat! It was the show to be at, for sure. This was the best halloween ever! :]

  • by telescoptical on 11/1/09Nokia Theatre At Grand Prairie - Grand PrairieRating: 4 out of 5

Every band dressed up for Halloween and the combination of two tours crossing into one was definitely an experience. The first few bands didn't handle the large crowd as well as they could have, but they're the openers for a reason and they'll learn in the future. Toward the middle, the rest of the bands carried the crowd for their entire sets. If you get the chance to see either of these tours, you should definitely go!

  • Glitter Kills Tour was Awesome!

  • Amazing!!!

by BVines on 11/1/09Nokia Theatre At Grand Prairie - Grand PrairieRating: 5 out of 5

Last night was the first time i had seen a lot of those bands. Although I hadn't heard their music, all of the bands were very good live. I loved all the costumes. The Maine was was wonderful, Cobra Starship killed it. All Time Low and Boys like Girls were so awesome. Martin was very brave inviting the whole crowd to rush the stage. : ) All the music was amazing and now I'm gonna go check out all the new bands I was exposed to..

  • by Shiningstar09 on 11/1/09Nokia Theatre At Grand Prairie - Grand PrairieRating: 4 out of 5

The show was good. I really went for Cobra Startship who were amazing! Cobras for Life. They came out in costume and it was really awesome. They really got the crowd going and pumped up. All Time Low was next and I didn't know many of their songs but it didn't matter. They made you jump around and loved the last songs. Then Boys Like Girls were on. They were really weird. It was the first show of theirs that I have seen and it was very strange. The lead singer was acting half drunk and half childish. I did not care for his antics or personality that he put on. The bass was too loud and my ears felt like they were going to explode. We left early. But Cobra Starship was by far the best. However, the crowd was there to support All Time Low. So for for those 2 bands...the show was great!

  • Boys LikeGirls and All Time Low

by springvalley6 on 11/1/09Nokia Theatre At Grand Prairie - Grand PrairieRating: 4 out of 5

We had a great time at the event. We didn't like one of the opening acts. All Time Low was amazin, but Boys Like Girls was a little disappointing. All in all, we would go again.
