About

Boys Like Girls are a pop-rock band that formed in 2005. The quartet skyrocketed up the charts with anthemic singles like “The Great Escape” and “Love Drunk,” with the latter’s accompanying music video featuring High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale. Their two breakthrough singles were followed by a sweeping emo-tinged ballad featuring Taylor Swift, “Two Is Better Than One,” which helped the band’s second album (2009’s Love Drunk) land in the Top 10 on the Billboard 200. In 2012, the band’s frontman Martin Johnson began writing/producing music for everyone from blink-182 to Avril Lavigne, leading to Boys Like Girls going on hiatus (reforming sporadically to tour between 2016 and 2020). In May 2023, the band released “Blood and Sugar,” the first single from their upcoming fourth album and their first new song in over a decade.

  • I love boys like girls.

by kkheartsblg on 11/3/09Warehouse Live - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

this concert was so unforgettable! All five bands were amazing. versa emerge sounded really good, and it was funny when one of the guys threw a banana into the crowd. A rocket to the moon was soooo good! i really liked their music and now im like obsessed with nick :). the maine was amazing also. i really enjoyed rocking out to their songs and they were so hot. cobra starship played a very high energy show, and they were pretty cool. then boys like girls came on and made my life. They sounded awesome and we had so much fun in the crowd. Martin was hilarious when he spoke in between songs... and it was fun when we all jumped on stage for great escape. this concert was really hot, sweaty, and awesome. good job, guys.

Came a little late but the last song i saw from The Maine was balla. Then Cobra Starship was crazy good. The visuals were fantastic, the band was hilarious, and they are awesome live. Boys Like Girls was so awesome. Everything rocked. EVERYTHING.

  • ZOMG IT WAS SOO MUCH FUN!

by Anonymous on 11/2/09Nokia Theatre At Grand Prairie - Grand PrairieRating: 5 out of 5

I love the fact that the tour ended up being 2 tours in one! So I got to see the Friday Night Boys, the Maine, We the Kings, Cobra Starship, Boys Like Girls, and All Time Low in addition to a few bands I'd never heard of before. I was with a whole bunch of my friends and screamed to about just every song :)

  • The best show ever!

This show was absolutely AMAZING!! I would recommend it to everyone that likes any of these bands. They sound even better live than they do on their cd's. It's definitely worth it.

  • one of the best shows ever!! it was unforgettable!

by pchiu on 11/2/09Warehouse Live - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

  • This was night was one I will never forget!!!!

by Abbygabby2012 on 11/2/09Nokia Theatre At Grand Prairie - Grand PrairieRating: 5 out of 5

The hit was a good band that played fairly well but due to technical problems they were hard to understand. Friday Night Boys and VersaEmerge were very good! I would come and see them again if I could. My favorites hands down were cobra starship, we the kings, ALL TIME LOW AND BOYS LIKE GIRLS!!!!! :) they were AMAZING!! being in the pit helped but I know that of I was on the top section I would have still loved their performance!! But i was so happy we got the combination of two tours because that made the whole experiece better! This was for sure a night I will never forget :) btw ALEX (atl) I LOVE YOU!! :)

too long, too loud, they all sounded the same, too much foul language

  • Excellent show

by DotCotton on 11/2/09Warehouse Live - HoustonRating: 4 out of 5

The show was excellent. All the bands did a great job and many were kind enough to meet with fans after the show. The Cobra Starship and The Maine were probably the best of the best. The only drawbacks were before the show. There was much confusion over Meet and Greet and Early Entry lines, etc. The Early Entry folks ( me included) didn't get in at 5:30 as advertised, which is 30 min before general entry. Just a few minutes after we got in the general admission was let in, so there was no great benefit and not worth the money. Won't do early entry again. Also, heard from those that did the Meet and Greet, they were brought in later than advertised and time with the bands was rushed. But the staff at Warehouse Live and the bands were great. Oh-one thing-People!! No need to push and shove and step on each other. If someone falls, help them up. All there to enjoy the music-just help each other out.

  • BEST SHOW EVER

    by sonnymoore27 on 11/2/09Warehouse Live - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

getting in was a little rough even though i had the meet and greet but totally worth the wait, once in i got a signed poster by the band and took a pic and they were really great and nice, i was lucky enough to get a front row center spot through the whole show and that was awesome, there were many great bands, really enjoyed versa emerge and rocket to the moon, but i was there for cobra starship and BOYSLIKEGIRLS, cobra put on great show but boyslikegirls stole it, they played all my favorites and it was a really wild set that will remain in my memorys for EVER.

  • They all rocked!

by Anonymous on 11/2/09Nokia Theatre At Grand Prairie - Grand PrairieRating: 5 out of 5

Me, my 15 year old daughter and her friend watched the event! Ton's of bands, great music and a great time!

  • All Time Low was fantastic

by jamom on 11/2/09Nokia Theatre At Grand Prairie - Grand PrairieRating: 4 out of 5

As the mom of a 14 year old girl who was only along to drive, I really enjoyed the show. Nokia Theatre in Grand Prairie has really nice facilities. You really got your monies worth for the ticket price you got 8 hours of show. All the bands sounded great. One little glitch with the first band, The Hit when their microphones went out during their last song. I felt bad for them. I would definately recommend all these bands. My favorite's were All Time Low, Friday Night Boys, and Cobra Starship. As a parent I would consider dropping my daughter off next time, I feel Nokia had plenty of security and the crowd was really calm.

  • Full Package Event

by SherryB on 11/2/09Warehouse Live - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

This was my daughters 16th birthday and she went with 5 friends. Martin J. was so good to them-very personable and knows how much his fans love their band. This is a wonderful group that really does put their fans #1. The music is amazing - the sound quality is great. You just can't go wrong with this group. They come out playing the top hits immediately and keep you going the whole time.

  • Nov 1 Concert Warehouse Live

by GingrAle on 11/2/09Warehouse Live - HoustonRating: 3 out of 5

The over all event was great! We have seen cobra Starship, Rocket to the moon , The Maine & Boys like Girls several times now.... However this is our 3rd meet& greet/ early entry with BLG and they are so unorganized! The venues (LA & Houston) have stated ,"the band manager doesn't inform them all the details," and it's a HUGE mess! This time we spent $75 a ticket to meet them and we hand nothing signed, just a 2 second pic for $75 dollars! I have gotten more pics with them at their tour buses in the past......I have never been to a meet & greet with 100 people. We ususally have 30 tops. Never will we do that again. Not for that price! And as they were selling more meet & greets, they upped the price to $100! Sneaky- The show was great overall! Cobra & the Maine were the best <3 But the meet & greet awful! Because of this I rate it 3 stars.....
