About

Boys Like Girls are a pop-rock band that formed in 2005. The quartet skyrocketed up the charts with anthemic singles like “The Great Escape” and “Love Drunk,” with the latter’s accompanying music video featuring High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale. Their two breakthrough singles were followed by a sweeping emo-tinged ballad featuring Taylor Swift, “Two Is Better Than One,” which helped the band’s second album (2009’s Love Drunk) land in the Top 10 on the Billboard 200. In 2012, the band’s frontman Martin Johnson began writing/producing music for everyone from blink-182 to Avril Lavigne, leading to Boys Like Girls going on hiatus (reforming sporadically to tour between 2016 and 2020). In May 2023, the band released “Blood and Sugar,” the first single from their upcoming fourth album and their first new song in over a decade.

The songs they played were my favorite ones. The light show they had made it even better. It was cool to see the crowd go on stage during the last song. Merchandise that was available was something worth buying. Wish they sold Cd's there.

It was really fun except for the part that it was really crowded the revolution center is small and crowded.

  • UNforgettable!!

This was the best concert of my life!!! Bryan and Martin from Boys Like Girls were so nice and patient with the fans giving us autographs and taking pictures!!!

the music was well done, but it was just a very girly show. It was a typical "boy band"

This show was amazing. BLG, never fails at being awesome. Cobra=Incredible! The Maine, so great! A rocket to the moon, seeing them for the first time, they were good. VersaEmerge, 2 thumbs up for girl power!

The crowd was a bit rowdy during certain sets, such as Cobra Starship, but other than that it was a great time. The bands were all amazing and the set changes were rather quick. The band members all seemed to enjoy the crowd and kept calling Orlando the loudest show of the tour yet.

  • More Than Amazing...

by xomarieeexo on 11/8/09House of Blues Orlando - OrlandoRating: 5 out of 5

This was definitely one of the best nights of my life. All of the bands that played were freaking awesome and had great energy...they definitely knew how to keep the crowd pumped and entertained. I went with my two best friends, and they loved it just as much as I did. We were exposed to new bands and music, which we loved... and ended up buying all of the cds and some shirts! Afterwards we were walking around and got to meet members from most of the bands. We took pictures and got autographs. We were amazed at how sweet and down to earth they were. This was the best concert I've ever been to. GREAT JOB!

  • One of the best concerts ever!!! Awesome!

    by 1BLGfan on 11/8/09Florida Theatre Jacksonville - JacksonvilleRating: 4 out of 5

The music was great! The only thing I didn't approve of was the foul language used by some of the acts, which is too bad as it was advertised as a show for all ages, that means young ones. Very unnecessary, better left for their own private conversations. But the concert itself, great!, awesome!

I loved the concert!! The maine and a rocket to the moon were great!! But the best part was when cobra starship came on!! I didnt really like the boys like girls part though they just didnt seem to into the concert and they werent as exciting or enthuseastic??

  • Cobra Starship rocked

by jerseygurl60 on 11/8/09House of Blues Orlando - OrlandoRating: 5 out of 5

Of course this show was sold out! All the bands were good, but CS was extraordinary. As always Gabe is such a showman. Their song choices were spot on and they sounded better than the studio versions. Boys like girls were superb too. They brought the house down. The Maine sounded much better than when I saw them last year. Great set.

  • meet and greet not worth it.

by kellymarie on 11/8/09Revolution Live - Ft LauderdaleRating: 4 out of 5

The concert was awesome, and I'm sure I'll never forget it, but the meet and greet was horrible. I paid 200$ for two tickets and was only allowed one picture and the venue did not allow the band to sign anything although the meet and greet email said that signing would be allowed. Martin later apologized for the venue not allowing them to sign and took pictures with everyone who wanted one.

  • The Maine blew them out of the water!

by Jlemsk8 on 11/8/09House of Blues Orlando - OrlandoRating: 4 out of 5

I came to see Cobra Starship, who did a great job. But the band who stole the night was The Maine. The lead singer had great stage presence and won over the audience. He was personable with the audience and knew that he had a crowd to win over. We left after the 3rd song of Boys like Girls after they put now effort into winning over the crowd. Though they are very well known and didn't really need to win most of the crowd over, they came off cocky. Rocket to the moon's lead singer sqeeked in the middle of one of the songs and should not play the house of blues until they get some vocal coaching, they had a great look but no talent. I also want to say great job to the security at House of Blues. They did a great job keeping the crowd happy.

  • Boys like Girls rocked!!!

by chknnugget on 11/8/09House of Blues Orlando - OrlandoRating: 4 out of 5

alright, so basically i thought the concert was completely awesome. i had never heard the main and rocket to the moon and i thought they were good to be on tour with boys like girls, giving the concert a great variety of different styles/genres of music. and Boys like Girls...the setup was amazing! all the lights and the drummer up on a second level with lights that made it look like he was glowing in the dark pretty much lol. i was completely entertained and they picked an overall great set-list.
