    Bootsy's was Awesome!

    by YancyJ on 8/29/16Paramount Theatre-Oakland - Oakland

Bootsy and his band was Awesome; however, the DJ, and the other acts were terrible. Next time do not hire the DJs and the other acts. Oh the sound was not good, because we could not hear Bootsy's instrument, it was too loud.

Bootsy's Still Teaching 'What Da Funks All About"

    by Narcisis007 on 8/29/16Paramount Theatre-Oakland - Oakland

The show took me back to the high school days; 39 years later and I am still getting the same feeling. It was my wife's first time experiencing "the funk" and was enjoyable for her too!! Needless to say, the songs were too short but understandable at the 60+ age. Back in the day, one song could continue for 20 to 30 minutes in a musical groove. I was very disappointed with the Paramount Theatre operation. There was one concession stand on each of the 3 levels. Lines averaged 30 minutes. The 3 concessions closed 20 minutes after Bootsy took the stage (with no annoucement).

Did not care for the act before he came on, but when he hit the stage all was well.

We left the concert after waiting two hours

    by Disappointed3000 on 8/29/16Paramount Theatre-Oakland - Oakland

We arrived at 8 when the concert was scheduled to start. We sat thru an okay dj and a fairly good comedien- tuff gig. None of these acts were ever mentioned to be included in the show!. Then the DJ started to get everyone pumped up and excited for Boosty. But instead out came a singer with a keyboardist as back up. She was horrible! It was like watch some tinker bell dressed child prance around the stage with a homemade cape. It was the wrong style of music for that venue. It brought the whole crowd way down. I could hear from the audience that we weren't the only ones disappointed. We tried to stay, but it was unbearable & we had already been there for 2 Hours! I guess they wanted people to keep buying drinks and make as much money as possible. I payed a lot of money for a tour of the paramount with expensive drinks

by Honey14 on 2/19/15Murat Theatre at Old National Centre - Indianapolis

For two hours there were performers by the local Indianapolis entertainment. The main event didn't get started until 1030.Bootsy Collins did not show up until 1145 and by that time I was pooped irritated and ready to go. He lasted over an hour would've enjoyed him better had he showed up earlier.

by GMoney62 on 1/27/15B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New York

Bootsy is the best! The old school funk has positive messages that don't exist in today's music. Music to serve people. One Nation Under a Groove.

    Bootsy FUNKED IT UP!!

by funkinrobin on 1/27/15B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New York

The Funk Master of all time delivered a funky good time. Still on top of his funk game, Bootsy Collins, captured his true funkateer audience with his accomplished showmanship, glowing and unique personality. A true funkateer, I waited almost 40 years to see Bootsy up close. Worth every dollar. Thanks for a great moment in Funkdom.

    Bootsy FUNKED the Place Up!!

by Burger on 1/27/15Howard Theatre - Washington

Mr. Bootsy Collins really put on a show. He looked wonderful. He looked as young as the group of people in the Band. I am happy that he is mentoring and sharing his gifts and talents with you ng people as James Brown and George Clinton did with him many years ago. That means the Funk will live on. Thanks Bootsy for recognizing “Chocolate City”. DC loves Bootsy and Bootsy loves DC. The show was out of this world. I felt like I was in my teens and twenties again. What a treat!! Keep on FUNKIN BOOTSY. You are a Master entertainer. What a Show, What a Show!!!

    Bootsy Still King of Funck

    by SNKE1 on 1/26/15Howard Theatre - Washington

Great show, Bootsy did what he is known for, rocking the house. The band was tight and on point. The sound was phenomenal. Bootsy is not only a great musician but a great showman as well. Bootsy had the whole house jamming. When you looked around, everybody was jamming. There was no restriction on videoing his performance and the tickets were reasonably priced. I would go see Bootsy again, again, and again. One of the funk legend treasures left, a must to see. Old school funk will never die.

    Bootsy Did It Again

by Thule on 1/26/15Howard Theatre - Washington

I've seen Bootsy 6 times in the past 4 years and Bootsy put on another great show. I took 3 people (a mother and 11 year old daughter, and a co-worker) that had never heard of Bootsy - They all left the show becoming a Bootsy Fan and a Funkateer for Life. The 11 year old said she LOVED the show.

    You can't fake the funk...

by JaneRae on 1/26/15Howard Theatre - Washington

...and Bootsy is still the real thing! I felt like I was in a funk time machine, transported back to my preteen years, sporting my star glasses and playing, and replaying, my Pinocchio Theory 45! With Mudbone in tow, and 30 years of clean living, I have to say that Bootsy and his Rubberband are my favorite P-funk live show! I so hope he comes back next year!!
