Bob Seger in Concert
With one of the most recognizable voices in rock, Bob Seger has been laying down cool grooves and bluesy anthems since the 1960s. Born in Detroit in 1945 to a relatively absent musician father who worked for Ford, Seger grew up with the perfect cocktail for heartland rock: a mix of music, working-class values, and despair. Becoming entranced by the music of early crooners like Little Richard, Elvis Presley, and James Brown, Seger would start a Detroit-based rock band in ‘61 called The Decibels; after they broke up, he joined The Town Criers, who became popular for their covers of radio-friendly pop tunes. In ‘74, Seger formed The Silver Bullet Band, where he would find immense success. 1976's ‘"Live" Bullet' reached No. 34 on the Billboard Pop Albums chart, going Platinum the following year. Later in ‘76, Seger's LP ‘Night Moves' would send atomic waves across the country with charting singles like "Night Moves," "Mainstreet," and "Rock and Roll Never Forgets"; the album eventually went 6x Platinum. With his following album, the explosive and searing ‘Stranger in Town,' he had four charting singles and another 6x Platinum LP.
Over the next 30 years, Seger would rack up the accolades he deserved while continuing to put out great rock albums. Though musicians came and went in his band lineup, Seger remained a stable anchor. 1986 saw a No. 2 charting track with "American Storm," and the following year he found his first No. 1 single in "Shakedown," which he wrote for ‘Beverly Hills Cop II.' In 1987, Seger and The Silver Bullet Band also got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004. Recent years have proved that Seger's here to stay: 2014's ‘Ride Out' was full of twangy, wheeling-and-dealing heartland rock, while 2017's ‘I Knew You When' bore a healthy dose of classic Bob Seger sentimentality.
This was my number 8 concert of Bob and hell I hope not the last BOB IS SIMPLY THE BEST
Fabulous concert every song played was a hit. The band was great and Bob was amazing.
Seeger still can rock the house. Great set list. Covered the spectrum of his work. Was a great experience.
The concert was amazing they played everything you would want to hear. The Silver Bullet band was outstanding, all of which are top performers in their own right. Sorry this is near the end of this tour.
Seats were narrow. Sound where we were sitting not so good. BOB was GREAT.
Got to see him before he retired! Great guy having fun. Moves a bit slow but voice is the same! Great band and full sound. Grammy winning team. If you can get tix on this tour do it!
Bob Seger is absolutely one of the best shows you will ever see. The music is classic . . . . the poetry / lyrics make him an American Legend AND MORE
It was a great show. Bob’s voice is fading and maybe if he had a backup vocalist or the sound was turned up it would have sounded better. There was a sound issue the organ also. The bathrooms were very clean and the bottles of water expensive.
Opening band was a great warm-up & short. Bob Seeger player his heart out & still has it after all these years. Wish he played Night Moves but the other hits were awesome!
Great show....Band was really good.....Seger put on an amazing show for a man of his age....Probably saw the last show he will ever do at “The Garden” The multiple encores were an added bonus no one expected...Thanks for a Wonderful night
He went out with a bag! He was much better than I thought he would be. Having never seen him before, I didn’t know what to expect. He did not disappoint.
Bob Seger and the SBB was one of the best concerts I've seen. Bob didn't disappoint! Every song you ever heard was played. His voice was powerful and clear. The crowd loved it! The band is loaded with talent, great back up singers, strong horn section , piano, bass player and impressive guitar players. Solid throughout. Great to see Bob loving to perform. So happy I got to see them
Seger sounded good. I had good floor seats but they packed us in like cattle. I might as well have been sitting on the lap of the guy next to me. No more floor seats for me as everyone is standing up the entire time blocking your view. I looked around at all the tier seats and balconys and everyone is sitting down like a gentleman enjoying the unobstructed show. Hence everyone on the floor is staring at a giant tv screen to see the show. Absurdity really . Seger sounded good but he is getting old. Lets face it, we all are. Lol
BOB AND HIS BANDWERE JUST AWESOME!! HE SOUNDED JUST LIKE HE DOES ON HIS RECORDS!! WE HAD GREAT SEATS AND HAD A VERY ENJOYABLE NIGHT! ATE IN THE SCOTIABANK CLUB -- I T WAS VERY GOOD
Bob Seger was on my bucket list to see live. Exceeded my expectations, he was awesome. I was lucky to have experienced his last tour. If you love him, don't miss out
Loved every minute of this concert and you will too! So happy that we got to experience the final Bob Seger tour. He's still got it!
A wonderful night full of Bob's greatest hits and then some!
Truly an unforgettable experience. Impressive for 74 years old. Voice and music was on point!
Bob Seger is a classic , just banging out one hit after another non stop and so entertaining. He is one of the greatest song writers and such a down to earth guy.... He is the one you could sit down next to in a bar and you would never know that he was some famous great entertainer.... the world needs more Bob Seger's
Been a fan since the early 80's and finally got to see the man live. So glad I did, as he was great and the energy he still has at 74 astounding. His band was wonderful too and we both enjoyed every minute we were there. Thank you Mr. Seger, glad I was able to see you and you will be very much missed.
