BOB’S BURGERS LIVE

Zany animated sitcom Bob’s Burgers is going from the small screen to the theater stage for the exciting new Bob’s Burgers Live tour. Ticket buyers will be treated to an evening of stand-up performances from show creator Loren Bouchard as well as comedy veterans H. Jon Benjamin, Kristen Schaal, Eugene Mirman, Dan Mintz and John Roberts -- or, as they’re better known, the Belcher family. The evening will also include several animated vignettes, a script reading, and an audience Q&A. For fans of the show, this promises to be a unique and laughter-filled way to get to know the people behind the voices and characters that have made the show so consistently hilarious.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Bob’s Burgers is the brainchild of animator Loren Bouchard, who also created beloved animated shows Lucy the Daughter of the Devil and Home Movies (with co-creator Brendan Small). H. Jon Benjamin and his inimitable voice have been involved prominently with all three shows, along with roles on Archer and Family Guy. Joining Benjamin on stage are cast members Kristen Schaal (The Daily Show), Eugene Mirman (Delocated), John Roberts (guest on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon), and Dan Mintz (guest on Mulaney), who add even more humor and talent to the mix  for an uproarious, must-see evening.

Great show. I expected them to act out the show more, but enjoyed the stand up comedy from the individual performers just as much. I'd see it again.

    Bob's Burgers was OUTSTANDING!!!!

by JalGal on 3/23/15The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

This show was so funny and entertaining. I could not stop laughing. Well worth the price of the ticket. These actors are all so different and talented. Together they are one the best casts I"ve ever seen. Getting a glimpse into they minds was a trip!

    Great show!

    by IowaDave66 on 3/23/15State Theatre - Minneapolis

We drove 250 miles from Des Moines to Minneapolis, and it was worth every mile! It was great to see the faces behind the voices of a show we have loved for years. The State Theater is a grand old venue that is beautiful. The theater got a little hot and stuffy towards the end, and since it was 30 degrees outside I felt that the management could have adjusted the temperature fairly easily. All in all, it was a wonderful show and I would certainly attend another one like it!

Glad I went but won't need to see it again

by Talulabanks on 3/22/15State Theatre - Minneapolis

I really enjoyed the table read and the singing right before it...and the video clips. The stand-up was entertaining, however, H.Jon Benjamin's act wasn't funny - or barely. I mean, putting down the city that openly welcomed you on opening night??? Really??? Poor taste in my opinion.

    Unique Bob's Burgers Experience

    by Nate9090 on 3/22/15State Theatre - Minneapolis

I really enjoyed the clips from future as yet to be aired episodes, and the cast table reading of a future episode and the Q & A were great. I could have done without the stand up that made up the beginning portion of the show. Otherwise, I enjoyed this.

    Bob's Burgers Live

Hilarious. Each cast member reminded the audience just how funny they are as individual actors, as well as an ensemble.

Got more than I bargained for

by JoshCho on 3/22/15State Theatre - Minneapolis

Standups were a collection of hits and misses, and the unseen footages of the upcoming episodes/table reading for a new episode were just huge crowd-pleasers. I enjoy what the show represents and it was refreshing to know how many people were in love with the show; no shame in admitting the love to an animated television show that airs on broadcast network Sunday evening. If you are either a fan of any one of the cast of the show in person, or if you love the characters from Bob's Burgers, you are gonna get out of the venue thinking, man it was so worth the money I spent for this ticket and some of the other cast I didn't care as much wasn't bad either.

    Half Comic-con, Half Standup

    by monday13 on 3/22/15State Theatre - Minneapolis

Great variety and amount of content. Each of the main actors from the cartoon series had a chance to do their own standup set which was pretty much worth the price of admission. This was followed by clips and and a table reading from an upcoming episode and then a Q & A. No awkward audience participation bits, so you can just relax and have a good time amongst fellow fans.

I loved the show! The best part was the table reading and getting to mentally visualize the cartoon while the cast members read their scripts. It will be fun to see the episode this spring and find out what happens. The stand up was hilarious too. We didn't stick around for the Q & A so can't comment on that.

    Bob's B's was aweseome

by turnerface on 5/17/13Nob Hill Masonic Auditorium - San Francisco

The Venue was great, easy to find, easy parking. I was happy there was reserved seating, no stress waiting in line. H. Jon Benjamin was hilarious. Kristen Schaal stayed late to meet fans! Unbelievably nice of her to do that!

Fun times for Bob's Burger's fans

by rwcbob on 5/15/13Nob Hill Masonic Auditorium - San Francisco

We had a great time in spite of the crappy seats. My wife and were avid Bob's Burgers fans already. But our friend who joined us had no watched the show until just recently really enjoyed the show too. Because so much of the show was stand-up you didn't really need to know anything about the TV show to have a good time.

It was great fun. The five principle actors did stand up, they showed a video clip of the upcoming Christmas special, and then did a table read and Q&A. The seats we had at the Masonic were three rows back from the stage, the only disappoint was there were on the side of the stage so we saw many actor profiles.

    Same Rat, Different Hat

by wojoone on 5/13/13Nob Hill Masonic Auditorium - San Francisco

We honestly were not sure what to expect at this event. I had pictured most of it would be a table reading, with scenes shown behind them. I was thrilled when I realized we would be seeing stand up from the five voices of the Belcher family. What a treat that was, they were all wonderful, but Eugene Mirman stood out for me ( this is our 5th time seeing his stand up act). My husband could not stop talking about how smart and hilarious Jon Benjamin is. And of course, Kristin Schaal is always funny and charming. Seeing Tina and Linda's voices come out of Dan Mintz and John Roberts was nearly surreal, but made being in on the joke even better. Loren Buchard came out for the table read and Q&A session. The genius of all of them together at that point was obvious. Multiple points in the show, I laughed hard enough to bring tears to my eyes, which often happens when watching the TV show as well. See this if they continue to do it. The show is brilliant, the cast is talented and freaking hilarious.

THIS SHOW WAS BEAUTIFUL! Everything I could've asked for. Each cast member did a bit of standup before the table read of an upcoming episode that was HILARIOUS. Then Q&A.

    Fun for Fans!

by LoLoLita on 5/13/13Nob Hill Masonic Auditorium - San Francisco

As a fan of Bob's Burgers, I really enjoyed this event! Each member of the main cast did a stand up routine, then they showed the animatic for an upcoming episode, then they did a table reading for another upcoming episode, followed by a Q&A session. If you're not really a fan of the show, you might not think this is as awesome as I did. But if you're a fan like me, you'll love it! :)
