BOB’S BURGERS LIVE

Zany animated sitcom Bob’s Burgers is going from the small screen to the theater stage for the exciting new Bob’s Burgers Live tour. Ticket buyers will be treated to an evening of stand-up performances from show creator Loren Bouchard as well as comedy veterans H. Jon Benjamin, Kristen Schaal, Eugene Mirman, Dan Mintz and John Roberts -- or, as they’re better known, the Belcher family. The evening will also include several animated vignettes, a script reading, and an audience Q&A. For fans of the show, this promises to be a unique and laughter-filled way to get to know the people behind the voices and characters that have made the show so consistently hilarious.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Bob’s Burgers is the brainchild of animator Loren Bouchard, who also created beloved animated shows Lucy the Daughter of the Devil and Home Movies (with co-creator Brendan Small). H. Jon Benjamin and his inimitable voice have been involved prominently with all three shows, along with roles on Archer and Family Guy. Joining Benjamin on stage are cast members Kristen Schaal (The Daily Show), Eugene Mirman (Delocated), John Roberts (guest on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon), and Dan Mintz (guest on Mulaney), who add even more humor and talent to the mix  for an uproarious, must-see evening.

    Bob's Burgers Live was Burgerlicious!

by Boom1234 on 5/2/16The Wiltern - Los Angeles

Great show. Wonderful performances. It was cool to see the actors doing their stand-up as well as the read thru. It was most amazing to see John Roberts doing "Linda's" voice live. We just couldn't take our eyes off him!

    Bob's Burgers Live Well Done

by mahler1 on 5/2/16The Wiltern - Los Angeles

If you are a fan of Bob's Burgers, then bob's Burgers live is a must see. It is fun to match the live appearances of the cast with the voices in the animation. A special treat was a live read through of a future episode. It is fun to see some unseen animation. each cast member does stand u[ in their own voices. a fun evening for Bob's Burgers fans.

Bob's Burgers Live- A Great Time!

by lindakj on 5/2/16The Wiltern - Los Angeles

What a fantastic show. Each cast member did a stand up comedy routine which was so much fun. One note of caution: the tickets said the event was for "all ages" but a lot of the jokes were not appropriate for younger kids. I took my 16 year old for his birthday and he loved it but I think he was shocked (and delighted) that his parents were taking him to see/hear something with a lot of sexual jokes. Which makes us the coolest parents ever in his eyes. The table read was fun, too! All in all, a really fun evening!!!

    Great show! Lots of laughs

by tricato on 5/2/16The Wiltern - Los Angeles

This show was great! I would go back a thousand more times! The way the show was formatted was each of the voice actors did their own sets (as themselves and not the characters they play) and then we saw a few animated clips of upcoming episodes. After the last clip was aired the actors read through most of the rest of the script from the last clip we screened. Lots of laughs, the auditorium was packed and I'm sure it will continue to be! (Just a little warning) I noticed there were some younger audience members there with their parents and when some of the actors were doing their own stand up these parents would escort their children out of the auditorium (many of the jokes and content were for adult audiences). So if you do want to bring your kids to this show, I might suggest coming in to watch the clips and table read for the second part of the show. (But be courteous when you come in late!)

    5 Star Funny

by ReeceTheBeast on 5/2/16The Wiltern - Los Angeles

I know some people complain that they didn't have a good time, but I think these people just didn't know what to expect. I knew it would be personal stand up followed by good ol' Bob's Burgers comedy. I had a great time at the event. My only complaint is the Wiltern seating is way too tight.

    OK...if you're a huge fan

by FlyHalf on 4/6/15Beacon Theatre - New York

We watch the show regularly and didn't know what to expect but we were both really disappointed. Their stand up was half ass'd and the readings at the end were cool to see, but it definitely wasn't worth what we paid to see this live. Don't waste your $.

Is it possible be in love with 25 people at once

by Kittyidiot on 4/2/15Tower Theatre - Upper Darby

The cast and Loren are super funny. Their stand up routine was hilarious. But the best part was the table reading of a future episode! What an amazing bunch of talented Belchers! Wish the meet-and-greet was available, but it was sold out even before they released the tickets.

expected more from Bob's Burgers cast

by Shabss on 4/1/15Orpheum Theatre - Boston

Don't get me wrong, the show was funny...just thought it would be funnier. Everyones individual sets were hilarious except the guy who plays Bob. Was super disappointed in his set. The table read was awesome and so were all the singing and Q&A.

    Disappointed

by Jubileee on 4/1/15Orpheum - Boston

I snatched up a couple tickets to see Bob's Burgers live as soon as I saw them on sale. There was not much detail on what the show would actually be like, but I figured it was worth a shot. I absolutely love the tv show, but I must admit this live show was pretty disappointing. The table reading and the preview of an upcoming episode were enjoyable, as were some of the actors stand up routines. But overall it was pretty forgettable. I must also mention that the venue, The Orpheum Theatre, was unimpressive. The whole show people around me and myself were all distracted by loud noises coming from the mezzanine level. We waited in like for 10 minutes to get a drink only to be told out of state licenses need a wristband. Which was another 10 minute line. Followed by waiting in another line that ended up being "food only" even though it wasn't marked and there were alcohol sales happening next to him.

we love the tv show-- this sucked!

by Invertebrit on 4/1/15Orpheum Theatre - Boston

Way too expensive for what it was-- 10 minutes of each character doing (boring, unrelated, sexist, casually racist) standup, a few clips of upcoming shows, and an in character Q&A. I don't think we were the only fans disappointed. Ours was the last show of the tour-- but it failed to impress. Chemistry was off between cast members.

Not terrible, but not all that great

by Eeemart on 3/31/15Orpheum Theatre - Boston

The show didn't seem very cohesive, and it had a feel more akin to them asking "What is the minimum amount of Bob's Burger related material we could do and still charge $40 a pop." The stand-up by the cast was funny at times, but overall forgettable. The clips shown from upcoming episodes were a fun moment to see, but it would have been great if they could have provided some commentary for those. The table reading was enjoyable. We left before the question and answer period because we were not aware that the questions were taken from people before the show began. Unrelated to the show itself, the acoustics in the theatre were awful. And the lobby is terribly set up for any crowds, as once lines for concessions form it cuts off anyone trying to walk from one side of the theatre to the other.

Burger of the Day - with Awesome Sauce

by kenejr on 3/31/15Orpheum Theatre - Boston

I didn't know what to expect before I got there, but it was something like...ComiCon meets Oddball festival. There were people in the audience dressed as their favorite characters, music from the show, behind the scene sneak peeks of upcoming episodes - and of course the COMICS! I've seen Eugene Mirman perform live and consider him one of today's great comics, but I had never seen the others. H. Jon Benjamin (Eugene introduced as the man with the voice of a thousand gods) was amazingly funny as was Kristin Schaal - man was she AMAZING! And I totally didn't know what to expect from Dan Mintz and John Roberts (Tina and Linda, respectively). They were so damn funny it was just icing on the multi-layer cake. Dan was a cross between Steven Wright and the late great Mitch Hedburg, with one liners that were among the best I've ever heard. John was frantic and full of piss and vinegar, but when he broke out into Linda's voice everyone broke out in joyous laughter every time...it never gets old! And when Dan tried to create a record-breaking longest "Tina Moan" things went CRAZY. This was a unique and worthwhile event that I would recommend to any hardcore or casual fan of the show, or even just a fan of the individual comedians in the cast.

    Fans will not be disappointed!

    by Ryleb89 on 3/31/15Orpheum Theatre - Boston

The show was incredible. First all of the main cast each performed a bit of stand up. This was followed by a few clips of upcoming episodes, and a 2 act table reading. The show finished up with a fan Q and A session. It was well worth the trip into Boston.

Bob's Burgers Live was everything and more

by kpeterson on 3/31/15Orpheum Theatre - Boston

I wasn't sure what to expect, but being a massive Bob's Burgers fan, I knew this was something I couldn't miss. IT WAS AMAZING. All of the cast members were so funny, and relaxed. It was great just seeing them all basically hang out, and have fun with each other and the audience. I would see this again in a heartbeat. And of course now I just want to be friends with them all.
