About

Blue October are an alternative rock band originally from Houston, Texas. Led by brothers Justin Furstenfeld and Jeremy Furstenfeld and multi-instrumentalist Ryan Delahoussaye since their formation in 1995, Blue October has released 11 studio albums, with their latest, Spinning the Truth Around, split into three volumes unveiled between 2022 and 2024. Following initial chart success from their 2003 single “Calling You,” Blue October’s fourth album Foiled (2006) broke the band into the mainstream with back-to-back platinum-certified singles “Hate Me” and “Into the Ocean.” Foiled became the group’s first effort to chart on the Billboard 200 and kicked off a series of six consecutive Top 10 full-length releases on the Top Rock Albums chart, including No. 1 debuts for Any Man in America (2011) and Home (2016). The band has logged 13 Top 40 singles on the Alternative Airplay chart such as 2008’s “Dirt Room,” 2018’s “I Hope You’re Happy” and 2024’s “Everything We Lost In the Fire."

Blue October puts on an awesome show! Justin is an amazing entertainer and you just can't stop watching. Rest of the band were great to watch too. All the songs from the new album were just as good live, if not better.

Modern rock at its best! I think this is the best current band out there right now. The new album is really good although the earlier stuff is hard to top. Rock on!

    Blue October ALWAYS DELIVERS!!!

by FloydRTurbo on 7/15/09HOYT SHERMAN PLACE - Des Moines

Yet another amazing Blue October concert! I've seen them 4 times now and my fiancee has seen them about 10, including a show in Peoples in Ames years back, and they just keep getting better! We were third back from middle right stage so we got a lot of close ups from Justin and Ryan - close enough to get some sweat on us! No matter when or where you see them, they put on an incredible show and you can always tell that everything is left on the stage when they're done - nothing is held back. Their music is pure intense passion. I want them to sing at our wedding but I don't think I can afford it. Maybe I'll win the lottery....

    Blue October was AMAZING

by TheOriginalStella on 7/15/09HOYT SHERMAN PLACE - Des Moines

They had alot of energy, sounded incredible live, and everyone had a great time... in fact, I think the girl in front of me truly believed she was in love with the lead singer. Regardless, it was so much fun that I'm road tripping with my cousin in August to see them in Louisville. Excellent show!!!

    Blue October Red Hot

by Idahobrenda on 7/15/09HOYT SHERMAN PLACE - Des Moines

Sorry I missed these guys in Spokane, WA in April, but they were sold out. Glad to see they were in Des Moines, IA and Minneapolis, MN when we went to see family. Definitely worth a trip to see Blue October in Des Moines or anywhere whether you have family or not. This band has incredible talent, and to watch a band smile while they do what they do best was a great thing. Love the smaller venu and intimacy of the event. "Wheelchair/Accessible seating" at this location is incredible.

    What an awesome suprise!

by koopeon on 7/15/09Lonestar Pavilion at Sunset Station - San Antonio

Only songs I ever heard from Blue October were the ones on the radio. I was in for a big suprise when I heard the rest of what they played. Loved the passion of the singer and the only regret was that they didn't play the one song I bought the tickets for--calling you. great show!

Blue October at Sunset Station Simply Hot!!!

by Karen1TXBlueFan on 7/15/09Lonestar Pavilion at Sunset Station - San Antonio

Raw excitement was in the air when Blue October took the stage at the Lonestar Pavilion at Sunset Station in San Antonio. The temperature outside was near 100 degrees and the band was as hot. When Justin takes the stage he not only leads the band but seems to suck the crowd in making you feel as if you are part of the show. I found myself singing along with the crowd to every song eager to hear what they’d play next. After playing every song from Approaching Normal, then most of Foiled they got the house rocking with Italian Radio – brings chill bumps just thinking back to the energy emanating from the crowd and the band during that song. Winding up the evening with an encore performance of several songs ending the set with Closer made the experience one this fan won’t forget. I cannot wait to see them again at the House of Blues – Dallas on August 15.

Blue October rocked, but the venue was terrible!

by Hales on 7/15/09Lonestar Pavilion at Sunset Station - San Antonio

Blue October is by far my favorite band, and I was elated to see them in San Antonio. I knew it would be hot and prepared accordingly. My friend and I got there several hours before the show to wait in line. Although we had a water supply to stay hydrated, we were in direct sunlight with no shade or covering of any sort, and it got to the point where I started seeing spots and thought I was going to pass out. Inside the venue was not much better. The area in front of the stage was covered, but it was still oppressively hot. They let us in the venue but kept us behind a fence with no shade for almost an hour before the show. When the show finally started, the opening band played 9 terrible and long songs. It took forever to set up for Blue October. The whole time it smelled like a million boys locker rooms condensed into one.

    Blue October ROCKED!

by MRom on 7/15/09Lonestar Pavilion at Sunset Station - San Antonio

I flew from Colorado to visit my brother and sis-in-law, and took them with me to the BO concert. I'm a huge fan of the band and I've converted them as well. It was a very hot night in San Antonio but I didn't care. Blue ROCKED San Antonio that night! Love those guys!!
