Blippi The Musical on Stage
Blippi The Musical is a two-act comedy about a boy named Blippi who loves to play in the world while taking his viewers along for the ride. He inspires kids to explore their environment with curiosity and creativity, teaching them about responsibility through song and play. Stevin John is the original creative force behind Blippi, whose energetic, childlike persona is portrayed in thickly framed glasses, a blue button-down shirt, bright orange suspenders, bow tie, and cap to match. John wrote, acted, filmed, edited, produced and shared Blippi's first episodes on YouTube in 2014. The videos quickly became an obsession among kids between the ages of 2 and 6 years old, and the parents who discover Blippi in search of wholesome kids' content on the internet also appreciate John's safe material. The show's popularity amassed billions of view counts as Blippi catapulted into the limelight. John would eventually sign a master toy deal with Jazwares LLC and sell his edu-tainment program to Moonbug Entertainment, who partnered with Virgin Media to distribute the show in the United Kingdom. It's now dubbed in Spanish, Italian, French, Portuguese, German, Arabic, and Hebrew, and the spin-off show, "Blippi's Treehouse," began airing on Amazon Kids+ in 2021. This all-ages extravaganza produced by Round Room Live will feature a dynamic stage actor cast to perform Blippi The Musical on tour, thrilling live audiences nationwide.
The kids enjoyed the show but I thought it was lame. Not worth the money and to shortl
We took my almost 3 yr old for her birthday. She had a blast! I was a bit bummed they didn't play the excavator song since it is definitely her favorite, but other than that - no complaints!
The show was very short and there was no real need for a thirty minute intermission. The children around us were disappointed that they didn’t sign more recognizable songs. Our grandson loved it but it was over so quickly he never had a chance to get past the “is that really Blippi” stage.
I was looking forward to experiencing the Blippi musical. I was one of the first ones to purchase tickets thinking that it would be the actual Blippi character doing the performance. After they told us that it was an impersonator I got a little disappointed however i still wanted to see the show. When we actually saw the show I was extremely impressed with the performance of the Blippi Actor. I felt that he was almost identical to Blippi from the way he danced to the way he talked and moved. I was truly impressed. I would definitely give the show 5*s with a couple of things to improve. From the whole show we only heard 3 songs that we knew (Pizza Song, Month Song and then Babba Blacksheep)...... The rest I had not heard. I really wanted my child to hear the Police Song and the Firetruck song, Monster Truck song....Horses song, ABC song, etc... we didn't hear any of this which was the only thing that was disappointing.
Kids liked it but overall pretty cheesy and low budget. Certainly not worth spending a lot of money on tickets for.
Show was amazing! It was like watching a live episode of Blippi! There was crowd involvement, which kept my little totally engaged! Great show!
Although the Children’s musical was quite good with high energy and singalongs, we were led to believe that Blippi himself would be performing.
I wish the show focused on the music of Blippi, which is one of the best things Blippi has to offer. Looking at my son light up with the monster truck song was awesome, but not playing more songs was very disappointing. I get the plot of the play, but I really think kids just wanted to dance to the popular songs. Also, bringing out the monster truck was awesome! Do more of that! I didn’t mind that wasn’t the real Blippi, they casted the character really well, and if I didn’t know any better, I would have thought it was the real guy. And the rest of the performers were great too. Oh, for those of you wanting to know basic info on the show, it’s two periods of 30 min with a 20 min intermission in between. In short, do the songs, bring out props, and then do more songs. That’s what the kids (and parents) want.
Very poorly and cheaply done. Wish they would of played some of his more popular songs.
I knew going in to the show blippi would be an impersonator but I hoped my son wouldn’t notice. He did notice but didn’t seem bothered by it. He enjoyed the show and had fun playing along. It was very difficult for me as an adult to get through. I have been to other kids shows that were more enjoyable as a parent.
My 3 year old son loves watching Blippi on YouTube. The show was great and captivated my son’s attention! He loved it!
I loved the show and went just for my son since he loves Blippi!! And I got to say it was such an amazing show, I loved it and my son had a blast!!!! SO THANKS FOR AN AMAZING SHOW BLIPPI!!!!!!!!!!
Disappointed with the show. He needs a better production team. Didn’t sing the most popular songs like Excavator. The show was very plain.
The event began on time ! The performance was pretty Miss the most famous songs from the tv show, the ones that all the kid knew! Not the real blippi enthusiastic Parking lot with poor organization and access, elevators blocked or not in service, people with their kids were walking around the parking lot to get to their cars on the ramps because we couldn’t get to our car level. Not much snack for kids, but a bar for parents when it was a kids event .... hello !!!!! Non sense.
Good show. My daughter enjoy it. I’m a little bit disappointed at the VIP meet and greet as BLIPPI was not the original. There was a guy who looked like him. If we pay extra for our sons and daughter to meet BLIPPI they should advised ahead of time that.
I took my 6yr old daughter and 3yr old son. They both had a blast! My son is the ultimate fan since before he could walk and he's learned so much from the videos so we had to take him. The show was so organized, so entertaining, and highly interactive. I see could why Blippi himself couldn't do it. It takes a different kind of talent to entertain live and directly in front a large audience. The actor/impersonator and his crew did an outstanding job bringing Blippi to life in a away the kids should see him. I couldn't tell the difference on stage at all and during the up close meet and greet, the kids couldn't tell either. I hope it comes back to Florida next year so that we can see it agin.
The kids had a great time. Couldnt tell it was an actor. I was a little bored
It’s overpriced for the quality of the production. The plot is poorly executed. , We were not expecting an impersonator either. popular songs were not sang, ( excavator, tractor.. etc .. cheap production with highly priced tickets.
It was actually really nice they need to come more often
My 4 and 5 year old enjoyed the show. They sang and danced along for the whole show.
