Blackberry Smoke on Tour
Though they've had their biggest success in the country market, the guys in Blackberry Smoke are rock 'n' rollers at heart. When they hit the concert stage, that becomes immediately apparent, but of course, so does the twangy side of their sound. Ultimately, what comes across is a roots-rocking blend that incorporates the influences of classic Southern rock, '70s/'80s heartland rockers and yes, a dash of modern country. And whether they're delivering a chugging good-time tune like "Rock and Roll Again" or a reflective ballad like "Let Me Down Easy," what comes through the loudest is the band's authenticity. These ol' boys are the real deal, playing it their own way with no nonsense and no rock-star moves. And since they do exactly what they feel, don't be surprised if that extends to covers of songs by their favorite artists such as Little Feat, The Grateful Dead or Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers.
Blackberry Smoke in Concert
Blackberry Smoke has always done things their own way, rising to stardom by building an audience from the ground up, remaining resolutely independent and staying true to their roots. The band formed in Atlanta, Georgia, in 2000, with singer/guitarist Charlie Starr, guitarist Paul Jackson, and brothers Richard and Brit Turner on bass and drums, respectively, and that lineup remained intact into their breakthrough and beyond, adding keyboardist Brandon Still in 2009. They released their debut album, Bad Luck Ain't No Crime, in 2003, but it wasn't until their third album, 2012's The Whippoorwill, that Blackberry Smoke started achieving major commercial traction. Their next record, 2015's Holding All the Roses, reached No. 1 on the country charts as well as No. 29 on the pop tally, underscoring the band's pan-genre appeal. Their homegrown blend of Southern rock and country has remained authentic and untainted through it all.

The venue, the sound, the staff, and of course, Blackberry Smoke far exceeded my expectations!
Was so excited to see one of my favorite bands live for the first time, and they did not disappoint. Blackberry Smoke hit the stage rocking, and kept on with their high energy level through two hours of solid entertainment. Very much appreciated, too, was the reserved seating on the floor, and the different options of VIP level ticketing.
Blackberry Smoke is one of the best shows out there. This group really knows how to bring it and it is non-stop entertainment. They played for about 2 hours and I wasn't ready to leave. Could have sat there for another 2 hours listening to their music.
I have only been following Blackberry Smoke for about 5 years or so after discovering them on YouTube. So, I'm late to the party. In that time, I have grown to really appreciate the music and lyrics. With that said, Charlie spent some time talking about traveling across Texas and then sang "Ain't Got the Blues". You're talking about Texas, you're in Texas, Why, why, why not sing Sunrise in Texas? Where was Southern Child, The Good Life, Shakin Hands with the Holy Ghost, and Leave a Scar? Good show, but I left disappointed.
Awesome show. Love the venue. Frankly though, the whole parking experience is a bit murky and kind of a Charlie Foxtrot. Would be nice if parking options were made clear.
Overall, it was a good concert Charlie didn't disappoint he has so much energy and his abilities on the guitar are fantastic I would have liked to see more energy out of a few others in the band but maybe they were tired but overall, a good show.
This band has more heart and soul than any other band actively performing. Their lyrics combined with their musicianship is surpassed by no one actively touring. Non stop American Southern Rock song after song. Can’t get enough of this band. RIP Brit
If you have the opportunity to see Blackberry smoke.. MAKE SURE YOU DO. They are a great set of musicians and their live shows are one of the best i've seen.
Awesome show, BlackBerry Smoke came out and started playing immediately and they didn’t stop until it was over. Great experience.
My first time at the Fillmore. It was really nice, especially great restroom space for ladies. My one big complaint— the music was exceptionally loud. The warm-up band, a guitarist and drummer were so loud I had to go and stand in the back. Then BBS came out and the same excessive loudness. I couldn’t hear Charlie singing. I did notice someone from the band standing by me listening intently and about halfway through the show adjustments were made and finally I could hear the words somewhat. I saw BBS at another venue in Baton Rouge a few months ago and it was very enjoyable. There were 3 in my group and we all agreed the concert was too loud.
Always the best show ! Who else would cover Led Zeppelin “Dancing Days “ I think I’m ready to go to #18 !
My 13th show with BBS. We are a strong and loyal fan family. The Fellas from BBS are some of the sweetest, most down to earth guys you'll ever meet. AJ the VIP Host is world class. The shows are top shelf. The crew and touring production a well oiled precision machine. Worth every penny. No one ever goes to just one BBS show. They're featured on several episodes of Yellowstone, CSI (?) and a number of other TV programs. The music - well, if you know you know. If you don't know...find out.
Great show! Always entertaining! 9th time being smoked! Different show every time!
Blackberry Smoke proves once again that they are the most fan oriented and talented acts on tour today.
One of the best concerts I’ve ever seen. Great sound from the band.
Band members are awesome players and sing and harmonize great! My 3rd time seeing them perform. Southern Rock at its finest!
Everytime we see this band, we wonder how the whole world doesn't know more about them! But then... they feel like the guiltiest pleasure and bestest kept secret for us!
We had a great experience. Radio led you to believe they were more country. We found them to be southern rock. They were really enjoyable.
I have seen Blackberry Smoke many times, but that was probably one of the best ever.
