Blackberry Smoke on Tour
Though they've had their biggest success in the country market, the guys in Blackberry Smoke are rock 'n' rollers at heart. When they hit the concert stage, that becomes immediately apparent, but of course, so does the twangy side of their sound. Ultimately, what comes across is a roots-rocking blend that incorporates the influences of classic Southern rock, '70s/'80s heartland rockers and yes, a dash of modern country. And whether they're delivering a chugging good-time tune like "Rock and Roll Again" or a reflective ballad like "Let Me Down Easy," what comes through the loudest is the band's authenticity. These ol' boys are the real deal, playing it their own way with no nonsense and no rock-star moves. And since they do exactly what they feel, don't be surprised if that extends to covers of songs by their favorite artists such as Little Feat, The Grateful Dead or Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers.
Blackberry Smoke in Concert
Blackberry Smoke has always done things their own way, rising to stardom by building an audience from the ground up, remaining resolutely independent and staying true to their roots. The band formed in Atlanta, Georgia, in 2000, with singer/guitarist Charlie Starr, guitarist Paul Jackson, and brothers Richard and Brit Turner on bass and drums, respectively, and that lineup remained intact into their breakthrough and beyond, adding keyboardist Brandon Still in 2009. They released their debut album, Bad Luck Ain't No Crime, in 2003, but it wasn't until their third album, 2012's The Whippoorwill, that Blackberry Smoke started achieving major commercial traction. Their next record, 2015's Holding All the Roses, reached No. 1 on the country charts as well as No. 29 on the pop tally, underscoring the band's pan-genre appeal. Their homegrown blend of Southern rock and country has remained authentic and untainted through it all.

Beautiful place for a concert and no bad seats. We’ve seen this band several times. Great show. BlackBerry Smoke does not disappoint.
Definitely a good show. Goodyear Theater is a beautiful place with comfortable seating friendly staff and not a bad seat.
Love Blackberry Smoke! This was our fourth time seeing them, and they killed it as always. I really like when they play the smaller venues. We will probably go see then anytime they come anywhere close. Sooo glad it was on a weekend night-we are getting too old to be going out to concerts during the week. The opening band started at 8pm on the dot-and BlackBerry Smoke came on right at 9pm. They played a solid hour and 45 minutes, with only a very quick break before the grand finale. Loved the vibe! They never disappoint!
These guys put on the best show time after time! They never disappoint. Took my adult son who wasn't that familiar with them and he said it was one of the best shows he's ever been to.
Excellent show!! Great vocals, great guitars, great band! Very engaging with the audience...sounded fabulous!!!
The BlackBerry Smoke concert at the beautiful Goodyear Theater in Akron Ohio was great!!
one of the best live band today !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've hosted and attended many top concerts, BBS is the best touring band by far,,
Excellent show! BBS is the best band in the land and never disappoint! Venue perfect & staff was very accommodating for the ahem ‘mature crowd’ But LAWD the adult beverages were expensive!!!
Too rock for country too country for rock. Fourth time seeing these guys and they always bring it. Lead singer/guitarist Charlie Starr is a perfect fit for these southern rock throwbacks. Makes me long for the Allmans, Skynard and Marshall Tucker. Only disappointment was the size of the Baton Rouge crowd, should’ve been packed. A great night for all
5th time I have seen BBS and they always do a great job and have a great sound system. The accompanying light show provides a boost to the songs without being overwhelming or distracting. The theatre at River Center was a beautiful venue. The only thing surprising was the fact that the venue was just over half full, though the crowd was incredibly enthusiastic - I was just surprised in a market like Baton Rouge it wasn't sold out as it would have been in other markets. Amazing event overall!
It was amazing. Band played for two hours. Really enjoyed it!
I have seen Blackberry Smoke probably about 10 times live. They are always great! However the venue completely sucks. It's completely flat. I'm 5'11 and could only see their heads. My wife is 5ft and only saw the back of everyone's shirts. I don't recommend going to Sweetwater sound in Ft. Wayne, IN. Terrible place to see a show.
This was our fourth time seeing BBS and as always it was a Great Show. If you’ve never seen them live GO! You will not be disappointed. We took four of our friends this time and they came away loving BBS.
The show was outstanding as always. I've been following this band since 2012 and have never been disappointed. Probably looking at 50 or more shows. If you never seen them live please do you will be hooked.
Blackberry Smoke are one of the best touring bands out there! Too rock for country & too country for rock!
If you have not seen Blackberry Smoke in person you need to look for a show near you and buy your tickets!!! They NEVER disappoint!! YOU WILL BE A FAN FOR LIFE!!!
22nd time i have seen them. Never disappoint. Surprised they are not nationally known as much as they deserve.
Greenfield lake is awesome place for a concert. The people working there were very helpful before and during the show.
this really wasn’t my style of music, but I had a great time and the music was awesome. 100% recommend.
