Blackberry Smoke on Tour

Though they've had their biggest success in the country market, the guys in Blackberry Smoke are rock 'n' rollers at heart. When they hit the concert stage, that becomes immediately apparent, but of course, so does the twangy side of their sound. Ultimately, what comes across is a roots-rocking blend that incorporates the influences of classic Southern rock, '70s/'80s heartland rockers and yes, a dash of modern country. And whether they're delivering a chugging good-time tune like "Rock and Roll Again" or a reflective ballad like "Let Me Down Easy," what comes through the loudest is the band's authenticity. These ol' boys are the real deal, playing it their own way with no nonsense and no rock-star moves. And since they do exactly what they feel, don't be surprised if that extends to covers of songs by their favorite artists such as Little Feat, The Grateful Dead or Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers.

Blackberry Smoke in Concert

Blackberry Smoke has always done things their own way, rising to stardom by building an audience from the ground up, remaining resolutely independent and staying true to their roots. The band formed in Atlanta, Georgia, in 2000, with singer/guitarist Charlie Starr, guitarist Paul Jackson, and brothers Richard and Brit Turner on bass and drums, respectively, and that lineup remained intact into their breakthrough and beyond, adding keyboardist Brandon Still in 2009. They released their debut album, Bad Luck Ain't No Crime, in 2003, but it wasn't until their third album, 2012's The Whippoorwill, that Blackberry Smoke started achieving major commercial traction. Their next record, 2015's Holding All the Roses, reached No. 1 on the country charts as well as No. 29 on the pop tally, underscoring the band's pan-genre appeal. Their homegrown blend of Southern rock and country has remained authentic and untainted through it all.

  • Blackberry Smoke never disappoints

by Crader on 11/23/25House of Blues Orlando - OrlandoRating: 5 out of 5

Blackberry Smoke always puts on a great show. The sound and lighting are amazing. The band is so tight and connected on stage. The way they work covers into their songs is so smooth. And when they do a complete cover song they do it with such respect to the song itself. But the greatest thing about Blackberry Smoke is the love of playing music and of their fans. Always interacting and acknowledging the fans and making sure they are good and enjoying themselves. Truly one of the greatest bands ever!

The arena is legendary. Some of the best have performed there and I can see why. Crowd and traffic control is excellent and the volunteers working the show were so friendly and helpful. I will be back! Blackberry Smoke is one of the best southern rock bands ever. Definitely recommend you see them

  • Most epic concert of 45 years of live music apprecition

by Luke on 11/18/25Brown County Music Center - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Crowd was engaged. Song set list was epic. Sound was loud but just right. Nicest people at the concert. We are followers of the band now hope to make more. Would love to book them for a music festival at the 2-blues farm fest.

  • Energy

by FinnLander on 11/17/25GLC Live at 20 Monroe - Grand RapidsRating: 5 out of 5

Blackberry Smoke is my favorite band to watch live. Charlie Starr had great energy and carried the show.. Hes so good, and relatable. Great voice and guitarist. 20 Monroe is a wonderful venue. Downtown Grand Rapids is fantastic... tons of parking. and feels super safe for a family to enjoy. One downside on the concert: I believe they did not have the guitar audio set properly.... some of the guitar solos (even for the warm up band) were inaudible. Something was lacking on the sound... I blame the sound check guys. : )

We have seen them a few times and we will still go to more of their shows. They play something different all the time. This is a great band!! They did a tribute to Bad Company. They sang the song, "Running with the pack". They were outstanding. I just watched where they sang Free Bird. They are absolutely amazing. Keep them coming back to Akron. Thanks you!!

  • Great Show!

by Glassman on 11/12/25Goodyear Theater - AkronRating: 5 out of 5

This show was so much better than their show at Temple Live in Cleveland. Great sound and great vocals by Charlie. A real rocker show, but I wish they had played Pretty Little Lies.

  • Hardest Working Band in America

First time seeing Blackberry Smoke. Blew us away with vocals, instruments, wall of guitar sound, energy, connection with the crowd, and outstanding covers interjected among their own music. Will definitely be seeing again!
