Blackberry Smoke on Tour
Though they've had their biggest success in the country market, the guys in Blackberry Smoke are rock 'n' rollers at heart. When they hit the concert stage, that becomes immediately apparent, but of course, so does the twangy side of their sound. Ultimately, what comes across is a roots-rocking blend that incorporates the influences of classic Southern rock, '70s/'80s heartland rockers and yes, a dash of modern country. And whether they're delivering a chugging good-time tune like "Rock and Roll Again" or a reflective ballad like "Let Me Down Easy," what comes through the loudest is the band's authenticity. These ol' boys are the real deal, playing it their own way with no nonsense and no rock-star moves. And since they do exactly what they feel, don't be surprised if that extends to covers of songs by their favorite artists such as Little Feat, The Grateful Dead or Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers.
Blackberry Smoke in Concert
Blackberry Smoke has always done things their own way, rising to stardom by building an audience from the ground up, remaining resolutely independent and staying true to their roots. The band formed in Atlanta, Georgia, in 2000, with singer/guitarist Charlie Starr, guitarist Paul Jackson, and brothers Richard and Brit Turner on bass and drums, respectively, and that lineup remained intact into their breakthrough and beyond, adding keyboardist Brandon Still in 2009. They released their debut album, Bad Luck Ain't No Crime, in 2003, but it wasn't until their third album, 2012's The Whippoorwill, that Blackberry Smoke started achieving major commercial traction. Their next record, 2015's Holding All the Roses, reached No. 1 on the country charts as well as No. 29 on the pop tally, underscoring the band's pan-genre appeal. Their homegrown blend of Southern rock and country has remained authentic and untainted through it all.

Blackberry Smoke rocked the house! They don’t need any autotune! They sounded great!! Just a great show!!
Fantastic group with so many quality influences made southern rock great. Petty, skynrd, harchet, dead etc go see for yourself
The venue was smaller and allowed for a more intimate concert. Great show as always.
Blackberry Smoke will not disappoint! The energy, passion and perfection comes through in every song!
This band is awesome and even better live. All the members are truly talented!! I highly recommend if you have the chance to see them, go and you will not be disappointed!!
Blackberry Smoke +Saenger Theater in Hattiesburg = Damn good times. And Pine Box Dwellers brought the box to the party.
Blackberry Smoke plays a great variety of Outlaw Country/Southern Rock ballads that I personally relate to in my life. I see them every chance that I get.
Charlie Star is worth the price of admission. These boys are great musicians and put on a hell of a show
With three lead guitars and original tunes like “Pretty Little Lie,” “One Horse Town” and “Lucky Seven” Blackberry Smoke keeps the southern rock genre alive. Truly entertaining and down to earth, I would recommend them to anyone- they’re my new favorite band!. I would also recommend the Sweetwater venue for any musical event as it’s a top-notch facility to see a show!
Love the venue place and the music was fantastic .
This was my first time seeing Blackberry Smoke, and it was amazing! Such a great performance! This band brings back many memories from my childhood, I am so happy I was able to see them in concert! Definitely recommend purchasing tickets. Their opening (Pine Box Dwellers) were fantastic as well! :)
First time seeing Blackberry Smoke, and probably not the last. I had pretty high hopes for them, and they did not disappoint. Wildly exceeded my hopes actually. Nothing fancy, nothing eccentric, just great singing and even better music. If you love music, actual music, you will not be disappointed. Every one of them is a fantastic musician and you can just see and feel the love they have for the music they play. Doesn't even matter if the music they play isn't at the top of your faves list, you will walk away satisfied and impressed. And I strongly recommend seeing them outdoors. Maybe the Sweetwater Pavilion is the exception, but Blackberry Smoke outdoors will be a concert hard to top. If you love true music played by real musicians, then you cannot go wrong with, or find a better example of, than Blackberry Smoke. 5 stars doesn't seem like enough...
First time at this venue. Will probably return in the future.
We’ve seen BBS 4 times in about 9 or 10 months. Every show has been amazing but this one somehow managed to top them all. From Charlie’s interactions with the crowd, to the set list, to the encore (also didn’t hurt we also had the VIP M&G this round 😉) this show was amazing! This is my wife’s favorite band and we were lucky enough to be front & center. It absolutely made her weekend when she took a selfie with the stage in the background and Charlie posed for the picture. That moment was worth everything I own! Until next time ✌🏽
The best live band ever. I have seen them live 7 times and they never disappoint.
If you've never experienced a "SMOKE SHOW"your missing out!
Blackberry Smoke always hits it out of the park. Nice venue: easy in, easy out. Parking close to stage. Will be back in 2025.
We Love BlackBerry Smoke!!! From the very first time you get “Smoked” you can’t wait to go back to the next concert!!! The band and all the guys are so genuine and Friendly😊 It’s the only way that we know to get away, lose the stress and enjoy some of the best music you’ll ever hear. We are already planning our next concert😊🔥😊
Sweetwater Sound is a great place to see a concert! The sound is fabulous. The Sweetwater staff, food and beverage staff and all the fans are friendly. Blackberry Smoked rocked on like normal ... they are GREAT ! I've seen them twice so far this year. Going to see them again in Shipshewana in November.
The first band, Squirrel Cage, really rocked! Especially their drummer... WOW!! Blackberry Smoke are always beyond spectacular, and did not disappoint in the least once again!!
