Blackberry Smoke on Tour
Though they've had their biggest success in the country market, the guys in Blackberry Smoke are rock 'n' rollers at heart. When they hit the concert stage, that becomes immediately apparent, but of course, so does the twangy side of their sound. Ultimately, what comes across is a roots-rocking blend that incorporates the influences of classic Southern rock, '70s/'80s heartland rockers and yes, a dash of modern country. And whether they're delivering a chugging good-time tune like "Rock and Roll Again" or a reflective ballad like "Let Me Down Easy," what comes through the loudest is the band's authenticity. These ol' boys are the real deal, playing it their own way with no nonsense and no rock-star moves. And since they do exactly what they feel, don't be surprised if that extends to covers of songs by their favorite artists such as Little Feat, The Grateful Dead or Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers.
Blackberry Smoke in Concert
Blackberry Smoke has always done things their own way, rising to stardom by building an audience from the ground up, remaining resolutely independent and staying true to their roots. The band formed in Atlanta, Georgia, in 2000, with singer/guitarist Charlie Starr, guitarist Paul Jackson, and brothers Richard and Brit Turner on bass and drums, respectively, and that lineup remained intact into their breakthrough and beyond, adding keyboardist Brandon Still in 2009. They released their debut album, Bad Luck Ain't No Crime, in 2003, but it wasn't until their third album, 2012's The Whippoorwill, that Blackberry Smoke started achieving major commercial traction. Their next record, 2015's Holding All the Roses, reached No. 1 on the country charts as well as No. 29 on the pop tally, underscoring the band's pan-genre appeal. Their homegrown blend of Southern rock and country has remained authentic and untainted through it all.

Was a great performance in a spectacular setting. Couldn’t ask for a better place to see BlackBerry Smoke.
Great show! BBS was fantastic as usual and 49 Winchester is a great up-and-coming band!
Both bands were great! Had never heard 49 Winchester and thoroughly enjoyed them. Blackberry Smoke was excellent, as usual.
I bought the tickets for my husband as a gift, he's been a fan for years! The guys were absolutely amazing! Great energy and paid an amazing tribute to former band mate, Britt Turner. Would definitely see them again. Of course, any concert at Chastain is fantastic! Best venue Atlanta area has!
Blackberry Smoke is the Best band out there!!!! Southern Rock n Roll at its best!!
They were absolutely amazing. Pure energy throughout their entire performance.
Blackberry smoke will always hold a spot in my heart and I thank family for introducing them to me and Charlie and everyone else for being like family
This Blackberry Smoke concert was amazing. Wonderful, clean venue. The music was amazing! Blackberry Smoke sounds just like what they do on the radio. Goes to show you how talented they are. They played for hours, with hardly any breaks. My husband and I were so excited for this show, as it was our anniversary present to ourselves. Blackberry Smoke did not disappoint. It was one of the best live shows I have ever been a part of. Lots of crowd interaction, and just plain, good Southern music!
The band was awesome! From the time they hit the stage until the last bow the rocked the house!! From new releases to old staples they put on one helluva show!! If you’ve never seen Blackberry Smoke live, you’ve missed a memorable experience!! If they’re in your area get your tickets & don’t miss the show!!
Blackberry Smoke’s performance was everything we expected, and more. The venue, however, could use some work .
Good old rock and roll like I remember. I will be purchasing their music. So glad I found Blackberry Smoke!!
For a band that has been around for almost a quarter of a century. This band continually gains new fans. Fans that gather and follow the southern rock legacies of so many gone before but with a zest for the unexpected. Because you never know what may happen in a BBS show. Extra stars sometimes just appear so go to as many as you can just to see what happens. See ya up the road
These guys are great every time. They are tight musically. Charlie is a great front man and guitar player. They further the tradition of Lynerd Skynerd and Allman Brothers.
Blackberry Smoke is a great band as far as music but also as people!! Seeing them live was awesome to say the least. They Rock out and sound just as good live as they do on there records!!! The venue at the Horseshoe casino in Tunica was a great experience also. It’s smaller than big arena’s. Going to see them again as soon as they are near me and would go back to casino for another concert.
This was our 5th time to see BlackBerry Smoke. As always, they put on a great show with lots of energy. Bluesville was a great venue. Small but good acoustics and easy to get in and out of.
Wow, blown away. My wife and I got tickets the minute they went on sale. Never seen the band and only heard a handful of songs, and we are instant fans. The musical influences I heard, was just a wide range, not sure I I was just hearing things , but the different sounds and styles of music played that night was anywhere from the Black Crowes, to Tom Petty, to some psychedelic Beatles, Emerson Lake and Palmer, and all with a hint of Bluegrass and Southern rock. I couldn’t pin point it, but just sat back and listened to the show. So the music had me at set opener. Paybacks a bitch. Wow. Caught my attention and was hooked. About half way through the set, they played a Song called Azalea. Within the first verse, my wife and I looked at each other and said simultaneously I love this song. The show went on to just knock out some really good rock. Had a little Zeppelin jam, with almost a Pink Floyd vibe in there. The encore. Deep Elem Blues. Being a Dead Fan And seeing others in the venue dancing around to a really good version. It was a bit slower than I’m use to, and the had a harmonica guest musician come on stage and jam. Really made for a great well rounded show. Bluesville is a secret hidden gem of a venue. Highly recommend it. I can’t wait to see this band again. I missed them in Memphis last time, but I won’t miss another show out here. I will definitely travel to see Blackberry Smoke.
My husband and I were very excited about the venue at Horseshoe Casino. The seats were extremely comfortable and the location allowed us to really see the band. The concert was one of the best concerts that we have attended. Blackberry Smoke is a must see! 2.5 hours of continuous music shows that this band really puts on a show for their fans! Can’t wait to see Blackberry Smoke again, hope we don’t have to wait too long!
Blackberry Smoke did not disappoint again !!! People who like southern rock need to see this band. They are a great live band.
They put on a really good show. The setting was intimate which made it even more enjoyable, IMO. They were high energy and played for a solid two hours! Crowd was really into the show as well.
I am a big fan of BlackBerry Smoke. I took a friend that had never seen them live. Her first comment was ... "they are so good and so much better live than what she listens to on Spotify."I am proud to recruit new fans. They never disappoint...
