Blackberry Smoke on Tour
Though they've had their biggest success in the country market, the guys in Blackberry Smoke are rock 'n' rollers at heart. When they hit the concert stage, that becomes immediately apparent, but of course, so does the twangy side of their sound. Ultimately, what comes across is a roots-rocking blend that incorporates the influences of classic Southern rock, '70s/'80s heartland rockers and yes, a dash of modern country. And whether they're delivering a chugging good-time tune like "Rock and Roll Again" or a reflective ballad like "Let Me Down Easy," what comes through the loudest is the band's authenticity. These ol' boys are the real deal, playing it their own way with no nonsense and no rock-star moves. And since they do exactly what they feel, don't be surprised if that extends to covers of songs by their favorite artists such as Little Feat, The Grateful Dead or Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers.

Blackberry Smoke has always done things their own way, rising to stardom by building an audience from the ground up, remaining resolutely independent and staying true to their roots. The band formed in Atlanta, Georgia, in 2000, with singer/guitarist Charlie Starr, guitarist Paul Jackson, and brothers Richard and Brit Turner on bass and drums, respectively, and that lineup remained intact into their breakthrough and beyond, adding keyboardist Brandon Still in 2009. They released their debut album, Bad Luck Ain't No Crime, in 2003, but it wasn't until their third album, 2012's The Whippoorwill, that Blackberry Smoke started achieving major commercial traction. Their next record, 2015's Holding All the Roses, reached No. 1 on the country charts as well as No. 29 on the pop tally, underscoring the band's pan-genre appeal. Their homegrown blend of Southern rock and country has remained authentic and untainted through it all.

Went over from Ireland to see the boys in Bakersfield and San Diego, this band is a class act. Well delivered stage show,all the hits, delivered by a band as tight as a drum. Charlie is a brilliant front man and real nice guy as I got the chance to chat with a few of the boys,, can’t wait to see em again in Europe, go see em, they will not disappoint 👏👏🎼
This was our third time seeing Blackberry Smoke. They never disappoint. This band is one of the best live bands out there. Fantastic musicians. A really tight band. They rocked the venue with great songs and crowd interaction. I highly recommend anyone to see them.

Another great show by 'the best band in the land!'. 23 song set list, but it was Sympathy for the Devil on the encore which took the cake! The new drummer is fantastic, and cannot wait till they return to SD. Next year will be the bands 25th year. Thanks Charlie and gang > you guys are amazing !!!

What a fun engaging concert blackberry smoke was. They played such a variety of music with amazing instrumental solos and great harmonies. Audience was entranced!
I've seen Blackberry Smoke likely 25 times this particular concert at Humphrey by the Bay was in the top five. The band is always great live and this is the second time I've seen them at Humphreys and it was great
My husband and I loved it!! The singer wasn’t just a singer, he was an entertainer! We went on Halloween night and the group members were dressed up, which was great to see the light-heartedness of the group. The guitarist are very talented but not really entertainers. They have that “I don’t need to shimmy and shake for anyone” vibe.
These guys never disappoint! They bring great energy and one of my favorites.
Outstanding show! I’ve seen them a few times and they just keep getting better. Played 2 hours solid with no set break. Fantastic live band. Go see em’. You will not be disappointed!!!

My family and I have seen so many shows, big name bands, and in all kinds of venues. By far, this was the absolute best music experience ever! Charlie Starr is absolutely the best frontman! Can’t recommend these guys enough! Such an amazing experience!!

The drive to the casino was simple, the parking was painless, and the show was amazing. Our seats were easy to find and pretty comfortable. We were in section 302 and could see very well. The venue was smaller and seats were great. Blackberry smoke and they're opening band killed it!! Had so much fun.
Blackberry Smoke Concert was awesome. Charlie and the band were fabulous, could not have been any better performance. Only disappointment I am sure was for the band itself was that the fans remained mostly seated for the performance and I know the boys like the crowd to be engaged with them while they are performing. Looking forward to seeing them again next time they tour the area.
Blackberry Smoke is AMAZING!!! Will go every time they come to Tacoma. I recommend everyone go see them.
Blackberry Smoke is my favorite band of all time, so I am partial to them, but I don’t see how anyone who goes to see them could deny the level of skill and talent that this band possesses. They are better live than on record.
The band is absolutely awesome! Would highly recommend seeing these guys to anyone into country rock!
