Blackberry Smoke on Tour

Though they've had their biggest success in the country market, the guys in Blackberry Smoke are rock 'n' rollers at heart. When they hit the concert stage, that becomes immediately apparent, but of course, so does the twangy side of their sound. Ultimately, what comes across is a roots-rocking blend that incorporates the influences of classic Southern rock, '70s/'80s heartland rockers and yes, a dash of modern country. And whether they're delivering a chugging good-time tune like "Rock and Roll Again" or a reflective ballad like "Let Me Down Easy," what comes through the loudest is the band's authenticity. These ol' boys are the real deal, playing it their own way with no nonsense and no rock-star moves. And since they do exactly what they feel, don't be surprised if that extends to covers of songs by their favorite artists such as Little Feat, The Grateful Dead or Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers.

Blackberry Smoke in Concert

Blackberry Smoke has always done things their own way, rising to stardom by building an audience from the ground up, remaining resolutely independent and staying true to their roots. The band formed in Atlanta, Georgia, in 2000, with singer/guitarist Charlie Starr, guitarist Paul Jackson, and brothers Richard and Brit Turner on bass and drums, respectively, and that lineup remained intact into their breakthrough and beyond, adding keyboardist Brandon Still in 2009. They released their debut album, Bad Luck Ain't No Crime, in 2003, but it wasn't until their third album, 2012's The Whippoorwill, that Blackberry Smoke started achieving major commercial traction. Their next record, 2015's Holding All the Roses, reached No. 1 on the country charts as well as No. 29 on the pop tally, underscoring the band's pan-genre appeal. Their homegrown blend of Southern rock and country has remained authentic and untainted through it all.

In a world where live music experiences can sometimes feel predictable, Blackberry Smoke proved why they remain a must-see act. If you have the chance to see them live, don’t hesitate. It’s a night you won’t forget. I will definitely see Blackberry Smoke again!!!!

Fabulous show with a fantastic crowd! Smoke played 2 solid hours and never missed a beat! Charlie Starr brought his infectious sense of humor and his amazing singing and guitar skills. Can’t wait until they return to Fayetteville.

Charlie Starr and the boys put on one heck of a great show with lots of good music and lots of energy on the stage. My wife and I have seen this group perform 3 times now and have really enjoyed each show... Sorry to hear of Britt Turners passing back in March 2024... Our hearts are touched and sending lots of love and prayers for support.....

If you are a southern rock fan and have not seen Blackberry Smoke live you are missing one of the best shows out there. They are energetic and engaging with the crowd. My wife and I have seen them 4 times and can’t wait for them to play in the Augusta Georgia area again. If you get the chance GO SEE THEM!

  • Savannah Johnny Mercer Theater

by BBS Savannah on 12/12/24Savannah Civic Center - Johnny Mercer Theatre - SavannahRating: 5 out of 5

It was easy in if you follow the venue rules. It was a little confusing at first about which counter served food and beer and which one served liquor, but after that, it was easy. An usher even directed me to a no one waiting server. Great view and acoustics, very easy walk from our downtown hotel. I'd definitely see a show here again.

  • Southern Rock Favorite!

by Brook on 12/12/24Crown Theatre - FayettevilleRating: 5 out of 5

These guys bring the energy! The vocals are unique in all the good ways and the band is made up of talented musicians. Second time seeing them this year and honestly was looking at their tour schedule to see where else we could hit them up after this show. Glad to see their hard work is paying off!

  • Blackberry Smoke Rocks !!

by Mike from SC on 12/11/24Savannah Civic Center - Johnny Mercer Theatre - SavannahRating: 5 out of 5

Great show !! Would watch Blackberry Smoke every night of the week if I could. Tight rocking bad with great guitar work, a meaty backbone, and a tremendously talented lead singer in Charlie Starr. Keeping alive Southern Rock music in a big way.

  • I hate your digital tickets!

  • Awesome concert!

by Angela on 12/10/24Saenger Theatre Mobile - MobileRating: 4 out of 5

BlackBerry smoke was great! I had seen them one time before and they are even better now! Georgia Thunderbolts were great too! My only complaint is, we had VIP tickets and didn’t realize you had to be there before the doors opened for everyone else? Also, when we got our VIP tickets from will call they did not give us our lanyard or anything else that would have came with the package. Only our tickets. Will know next time!

  • BBS @ Bell Auditorium Augusta GA

by Chief Tony Mac on 12/10/24Bell Auditorium - AugustaRating: 5 out of 5

HOLY SMOKE: The meet and greet with the Band was a no joke experience and their efforts on stage were proof of this. Honestly, BBS has got to be the best Southern Rock/Country band I've seen since the 70' & 80's. Great job guys and hope to see you again, very soon. That will be my 3rd event. Respectfully, US Army Retired, CW4 Owen A. (Tony Mac) McDaniel

  • Blackberry Smoke at the Crown Theater Fayetteville NC

by Michael Prevatte on 12/10/24Crown Theatre - FayettevilleRating: 5 out of 5

Blackberry Smoke never disappoint. My 9th time seeing the band, which should tell you all you need to know about how great this band is live. It's always a party when Blackberry Smoke shows up. Charlie Starr and the guys gave another great performance. The Crown theater in Fayetteville, NC although fairly small is a great intimate venue to see live music. Due to it's size, there really isn't a bad seat in the house. Getting in and out of the venue is a breeze and offers free parking.

  • One of my top bands to listen to.

This was the second time that we had seen Blackberry Smoke and this show was one of the best ever. They are an awesome group and put on a great show. If you have a chance to catch them on the world tour. I highly recommend it
