Blackbear Background
Blackbear has been a force on the pop charts since 2012, when he co-wrote Justin Bieber's chart-topping smash "Boyfriend." In the following years he carved out a name for himself as one of pop-R&B's power players by collaborating with heavy hitters like fellow "Boyfriend" cowriter Mike Posner, hip-pop powerhouse G-Eazy and rap-rock superstars Linkin Park. The man behind Blackbear, Mat Musto, was born in Pennsylvania in 1990. He began his music career in Florida in his teens as the vocalist for the pop-punk band Polaroid, but shifted his focus in the early 2010s to the emotionally resonant R&B he's known for these days. He self-released his 2015 debut Deadroses, which included the G-Eazy team-up "90210," and followed it with another self-released album, Help. Eventually he signed to Interscope, releasing his gold-certified third album, Digital Druglord, in 2017 and Anonymous in April 2019, which featured the singles "1 Sided Love" and "High1X." Blackbear has remained extremely productive over the years, co-writing for Nick Jonas and Mike Shinoda as well as producing releases by Gnash and Tyler Carter in addition to his own touring and recording.
Previously, Blackbear has brought crowds to capacity at the likes of The Fillmore (Minneapolis), The Fillmore (Detroit) and the Coca-Cola Roxy (Atlanta).

Honestly the best concert ive been too. only thing that I would of changed was how long it took for the main person (Bear to come out). But other than that it was an amazing experience.
So once we got into the outdoor standing venue everything was great. My girlfriend and I were excited for the show very much. After waiting 30 minutes they brought out the opener oncejust about everyone was in. The opener only was allowed 4-5 songs then left the stage and we all just had to stand there in the heat doing absolutely nothing but listening to some quiet playlist. After 10 minutes the next guy came out and it was great but it was very hot and a bottle of water was $4. Florida heat + outside + no fans + over priced water = people passing out. At least 3 people did and many more were helped by a medical team. After the second person we had to wait around 30 minutes for Blackbear. Standing the heat again doing nothing. People were just on their phones at a concert. That’s awful, we came for a concert and a fourth of our time was miserable. The actual show was great when they were performing but please organize better so your crowd isn’t in misery waiting for who they paid for.
Bear put on the best show I have ever been to. Security was great with giving water to those who needed it and just people in the pit in general. After waiting years to see him, he definitely did not disappoint. I would highly recommend anyone to go see him, it’s definitely worth it!

The show was such a great experience! All of the performers put on a phenomenal show, in 90+ degree weather OUTDOORS. Despite it being unbearably hot and crowded, I would definitely recommend going again!
Very fun and filled with energy. The Fillmore is a great venue to be close to the artists. Great sound as well I’d love to do it again
Blackbear was amazing live! My only complaint was that he should’ve sung NYLA fully. But anyways, the man is talented!
Mat/Blackbear ALWAYS puts on a great show. He’s such a likeable person who just makes a whole room(or venue) light up! I had such a great time. The only negative thing I have to say is that I had people push in front of me when I originally had managed to get “second row” in GA when I arrived. Ended up being pushed several rows back. But other than that, everything is wonderful. The drinks are a little overpriced there but where aren’t they overpriced at this point!? Anyways, blackbear is an amazing artist and a great person who is guaranteed to make you smile!!!
I attended Blckbeqr with meet and greet and pit tickets. The meet and greet was organized and he was the sweetest to meet in person. Pit was awesome the crowd was great so no problems with pushing or being squished, the performance was mind blowing, he had so much energy and stage presence. His voice was exactly how it sounds recorded, it was a 10/10 and I will 100% be attending his concert again!
I was really looking forward to this concert. When Kyle came out first, he was super energetic and just made the crowd have a lot of fun. Then Blackbear came out and did his old and new music. I loved it!
I enjoyed the venue and Blackbear very much. I drove in from the Cleveland area with my siblings and we had a fun road trip/concert experience.
This concert was one of the best that I’ve ever seen. I had an amazing time with my friends and the music was great. The only thing that I wish was that it would’ve been a little bit longer.
Blackbear was absolutely amazing, he was a great performer and really hyped up the crowd. Kyle however sounds way better on his album and lacked energy, was hard to follow, etc. We were slipping in mud half the time but my friends and I still really enjoyed the concert!
It was our first time at the Meadow Brook Amphitheater and the staff was very accommodating! We had no issues and Blackbear and Kyle absolutely killed it.
Probably the best bear show I’ve been to, and I’ve seen him live at least 6 times!!!

hype men were kind of a buzz kill tbh. kept starting and stopping songs. became frustrating and then was in a weird mood for the start of blackbear. he was great tho. already wan to see him again.
Blackbear was so lively and talented and overall unforgettable :) Fantastic show.
I have been to a total of 3 Blackbear concerts. This one was by far the best out of all of them. For starters, I had skip the line and I wasnt held in a smelly trash room, I was actually by the door where performers came in and out of and got to meet Bears sax player, Jacob. I was first in line and first to get to the bar. The opening acts where Liberty Deep Down, Round 2 crew and Alex Angelo. LDD was my favorite out of all of them. Bear came onstage after the performers and he killed it per usual. What was different about this concert is, I had bought a shirt that said "Papa Bear" on it and got him to notice it, I threw it to him on stage and he actually put it on. I lost my mind obviously. He played an encore for us and kept the shirt on for the rest of the night and he has no idea how that made my night so much better. After the show, I got to meet his girlfriend and the other performers. I didn't win the meet n greet but I still had an amazing time.
