About

Raised in Michigan and now based in Nashville, GRAMMY Award-winning Billy Strings is known as one of music's most compelling artists. Most recently, he unveiled "California Sober," a collaboration with legendary artist Willie Nelson--his first release since partnering with venerable label, Reprise Records.

The collaboration follows Strings' most recent full-length album, Me/And/Dad, which was released last fall and features Strings alongside with his dad, Terry Barber. The product of a longtime dream, the record features new versions of fourteen bluegrass and country classics that the two have been playing together since Strings was a young child.

Since his 2017 debut, Strings has been awarded Best Bluegrass Album at the 63rd GRAMMY Awards, Artist of the Year at the 2022 and 2023 Americana Music Awards, Entertainer of the Year at the 2021, 2022 and 2023 International Bluegrass Music Awards, Best New Headliner at the 2022 Pollstar Awards, Breakthrough Artist of the Pandemic at the 2021 Pollstar Awards and has performed on the 64th GRAMMY Awards, "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert," "Jimmy Kimmel Live!," PBS' "Austin City Limits," "Bluegrass Underground" as well as countless sold-out tour dates world-wide.

Billy Strings is nominated for three awards at the 66th Annual GRAMMY Awards: Best Bluegrass Album (Me/And/Dad), Best American Roots Song ("California Sober" feat. Willie Nelson) and Best Country Duo/Group Performance ("High Note" with Dierks Bentley).

  • Wonderful Event at an Incredible Venue

by Greg on 8/5/21Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion - GilfordRating: 5 out of 5

I was thoroughly impressed with Billy Strings at Gilford, NH. I already knew Billy was an incredible musician from a prior event I saw him play, but this just solidified my feelings. The sounds was spot on and the setlist was one to die for. The whole event was stellar from Billy to the staff and concessions at Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion.

  • Best concert ever

by Billy Dingaling on 8/5/21Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion - GilfordRating: 5 out of 5

Billy Strings is a pro’s pro and the concert was a total out of body trip for the duration. Should have gone a second night but I have a 9 month old pregnant wife. We should all be in awe of his talents. Thank you for a great show.

  • Billy Strings

by Sue-Zen on 8/4/21Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion - GilfordRating: 5 out of 5

Show was so incredible! Music is high energy and sick transitions. Musicians are phenomenal - so talented. If you haven’t checked out this band yet - go see them. Danced the entire time.

  • Best night ever’

by Gigi on 8/4/21Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion - GilfordRating: 5 out of 5

From the minute they first stepped out on the stage until the last minute they left I was totally in awe of the talent. They gave so much of them selves to us all night. I’m learning guitar and mandolin myself right now and I know how hard it is they are all so amazing and talented!

  • Unexpected pleasure

by Bluewha? on 8/4/21Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion - GilfordRating: 5 out of 5

Didn't know what we were getting in for, but bluegrass is fun. Parking and ticketing were well executed. Sound was loud but bearable. The light show detracted from the experience. Wish the performer had introduced his bandmates.

  • AMAZING SHOW!!

by Jesse on 6/29/21Legend Valley - ThornvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Billy Strings truly outdid themselves this show! From Friday night playing some covers they haven't done in a while to Saturday night doing a full 2 sets of all original songs, there are no musicians who can match the energy of Billy, Billy, Jarrod and Royal! Venue was super cool but the boys were definitely the highlights of the weekend! They came, they shred, they melted faces! Can't wait for Legend valley to be a consistent venue on the road!!

  • On fire!

    by J. W. on 6/21/21Leach Amphitheater - OshkoshRating: 5 out of 5

This band is on fire! Great weekend, great venue and the music was fantastic. Billy the goat!

  • Great show! Great venue! Great experience!

    by J. B. on 6/14/21Wintrust Field - SchaumburgRating: 5 out of 5

Billy Strings is amazing, no surprise there. Wintrust Field in Schaumburg was well set up with social distancing and adequate spacing for our party to really be able to enjoy the show. Vendors on the field were great. Overall a great experience. We would definitely go to another show here.

  • Disappointing venue

by E. M. on 5/26/21Great Lawn At Waterfront Park - LouisvilleRating: 1 out of 5

Bought 5th row seats that were so far to side I couldn't see the stage and the sound was terrible! So disappointing for the amount of money i paid. They should have never sold those type of PODs or at least discounted them for poor viewing. Once again another classic money grab from Ticketmaster for a disappointing fan experience.

  • Great show at a great venue.

by Chris on 5/26/21Great Lawn At Waterfront Park - LouisvilleRating: 5 out of 5

We had tickets to the show on Sunday for Billy Strings in Louisville, so we got there a day early. Went up to the venue, ran into some friends, then took our kids to the playground to play right outside. Ended up with a free show, because the venue is made for it. A ton of people were there with us, and it felt just like being inside. Ive payed good money for shows and had a lot worse seats than that first night. On sunday, we went in to the show. The venue was clean and wide open, so my kids had a blast running around. Could have been a few more food and merch vendors, but there was enough. Had a great spot for the show, with friends all around us. Couldnt have asked for anything more. To me it was perfect.

  • Almost awesome

by Angie33 on 5/24/21Great Lawn At Waterfront Park - LouisvilleRating: 5 out of 5

The venue was spectacular. Everything was beautiful and MOST of the venue staff/security were very helpful and kind. The only bad thing is that I paid a lot of money to be upfront and due to the set up of the stage… I could not even see the headliner and half the band because it was blocked by stage curtains. I would have been much better off saving myself $500 and not being in the premium section. The only benefit to premium was having a chair… But that’s a pretty expensive chair!

  • Disappointed

by J. W. on 5/24/21Great Lawn At Waterfront Park - LouisvilleRating: 2 out of 5

Obstructed views and an extremely short amount of music for $515? Come on Billy, you are better than this!

  • Great

by Easy Money on 4/13/21Ladd-Peebles Entertainment Complex - MobileRating: 5 out of 5

Everything from Billy Strings band/management, to the people working for Ladd Stadium did an awesome job! Me and my wife, didn’t have to wait in line for anything, and had a blast. The concerts were great! Looking forward to seeing more Billy Strings and/or, more concerts at Ladd Stadium. Thank you!

  • Great Show-Concessions need work

    by R. W. on 4/6/21Columbia Speedway Entertainment Center - CayceRating: 3 out of 5

The concession set up was difficult. Because we had to figure out how to order drinks from our phone it took our attention away from the show. Then there were long lines once we figured out we had to get in line with the number we received after the purchase was made...then they sent us to another station to wait for someone to bag the drinks and call our number! More time away from the show. By the middle of the show and with concessions set up this way, there was no way people could be socially distant and the poor workers shouting out numbers were losing their voices and getting exhausted. Please go back to selling things the way we did it pre-covid. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
