About

Raised in Michigan and now based in Nashville, GRAMMY Award-winning Billy Strings is known as one of music's most compelling artists. Most recently, he unveiled "California Sober," a collaboration with legendary artist Willie Nelson--his first release since partnering with venerable label, Reprise Records.

The collaboration follows Strings' most recent full-length album, Me/And/Dad, which was released last fall and features Strings alongside with his dad, Terry Barber. The product of a longtime dream, the record features new versions of fourteen bluegrass and country classics that the two have been playing together since Strings was a young child.

Since his 2017 debut, Strings has been awarded Best Bluegrass Album at the 63rd GRAMMY Awards, Artist of the Year at the 2022 and 2023 Americana Music Awards, Entertainer of the Year at the 2021, 2022 and 2023 International Bluegrass Music Awards, Best New Headliner at the 2022 Pollstar Awards, Breakthrough Artist of the Pandemic at the 2021 Pollstar Awards and has performed on the 64th GRAMMY Awards, "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert," "Jimmy Kimmel Live!," PBS' "Austin City Limits," "Bluegrass Underground" as well as countless sold-out tour dates world-wide.

Billy Strings is nominated for three awards at the 66th Annual GRAMMY Awards: Best Bluegrass Album (Me/And/Dad), Best American Roots Song ("California Sober" feat. Willie Nelson) and Best Country Duo/Group Performance ("High Note" with Dierks Bentley).

  • Overall Production was Next Level

by DocNic on 11/3/21Harrah's Cherokee Center - Asheville - AshevilleRating: 5 out of 5

8n all my concert going years, ive never seen someone do so much with so little. From the Production and lighting to the set list following The Wizard of Oz storyline.. this was perfection. I saw Roger Waters perform The Wall at Fenway Park. The gents of Billy Strings blew that show out of the water and didnt even need a Helicopter.

  • Best concert ever

  • Service

The lines for service was ridiculous long. Absolutely no efficiency. Buying the tickets where easy and painless.

  • Want ticket Stubs

Would really enjoy paper ticket stubs. I collect them and this is disappointing

  • Best show ever but general admission sucks

by María on 11/3/21Harrah's Cherokee Center - Asheville - AshevilleRating: 4 out of 5

Awesome show, phenomenal musically and energy. I hated that the seating was general admission. People were hoarding seats “for their friends” and no one was actually sitting in them. If you couldn’t get there plenty early there was nowhere to sit. I would have gladly paid extra for assigned seats and let the youngsters stand on the main floor.

This was my first Billy Strings show and it won’t be my last! He is an amazing talent that I haven’t seen in a long time. He is so entertaining and the fans were the best! People came from all over the country to enjoy this awesome music and everyone was nice! And seeing him in an awesome city like Asheville was a BONUS! Can’t wait for Dallas in December!

  • Amazing!

by TJ on 11/3/21Harrah's Cherokee Center - Asheville - AshevilleRating: 4 out of 5

BMFS is the whole package and puts on an extraordinary show! Asheville is a great town, but the venue is ill designed with poor flow, entries and exits - especially with far too many people packed into it during a pandemic at that!

by C Brosius on 11/2/21Harrah's Cherokee Center - Asheville - AshevilleRating: 5 out of 5

I’m 51 and have been going to shows of various artists since I was 15. My first concert was Bruce’s Born in the USA tour. I’ve seen the Dead, Dead & Co, Dylan, Stones, Bowie, Bob Seger, phish, TAB, who knows how many more. Halloween with Billy Strings was the best, hands down! Wow! I can’t even describe the depth of his playing and the experience!

  • One incredible show. Rocked the house

by Awesome Shoe on 11/2/21Harrah's Cherokee Center - Asheville - AshevilleRating: 5 out of 5

Awesome show. Crowd was really into it. Did wish I could have heard two of my favorites “Dust in a Baggie” and “Red Daisy” but that was my only complaint. Light show and sound was top notch

  • BMFS = 🔥 Venue = 😵‍💫

    by Jake29691 on 11/2/21Harrah's Cherokee Center - Asheville - AshevilleRating: 4 out of 5

First of all, Billy Strings is everything. Absolutely amazing show. Couldn’t ask for better. The venue was a bit confusing. There was very little direction as to where to get wrist bands for vaccination/negative test, and people were being sent away after waiting in the looooong line because they didn’t have the wrist band. Some signs or even having someone stationed somewhere other than the main entrance to provide direction would have been incredibly helpful.

  • Best show EVER!!!
