Bill Kirchen obviously loves what he does. His voice is great, and his guitar playing is beyond compare. I would have liked to hear some more new songs.
Bill Kirchen makes you feel at home with everything he plays. “Hot Rod Lincoln” was 10 minutes long. He just keeps getting better!
We had never seen Bill Kirchen before, and boy were we impressed! Great voice and absolutely amazing on the guitar! We really enjoyed Dale Watson too! Incredibly talented and very entertaining! Loved his bass player also!
First time I saw them they opened for the Dead and they set the bar high that nite. They're still Killer, got to speak with Bill Kirchen during the break, only thing thats changed is his hair is grayer and shorter.
The Birchmere is a classic, and so is Bill Kirchen! You’d be hard pressed to find a better guitar player, and he just seems to get better and better. Couple that with a quirky, sense of humor, and an irreverent personality, and you’ve got a clsss A show. He and Junior Brown both delivered.
It's always a blast when the Commander and Bill Kirchen with Johnny and Jack get together for an evening of entertainment. These guys have to put it rightly ,"been around the block". I've been a fan since 1973 for good reason. The staff at the Birchmere were very hospitable and friendly. There was some confussion with my tickets on a "will call" situation, but I ended up with great seats anyhow. The food was good and plentiful.
Bill and the gang were full of energy and Christmas spirit. They appeared happy to be there - and so were we!
Fantastic show as usual. If you have the opportunity to see Bill or the Commander - don't miss it!!
The evening began with good friends gathering for food and fond memories. Bill Kirchen played some great tunes interspersed with unusual Christmas songs. After the break, the one and only Commander Cody, George Frayne arrived onstage! Couldn’t Ask for more.
